“In other news, a 6.2 earthquake hit San Diego at 3 pm PST. Geologists have determined that it was plate boundary slip, ‘a common occurrence in this coastal region’ as they have put it. No other information has been released about this earthquake as of yet, but we will update you later if any further information is released.”

            “Sir, we still can’t find it.”

            “Well, keep looking! It doesn’t make sense. There can’t be an earthquake without a focus. It has to be near there, somewhere. Don’t stop searching until you find it.”

            The office was in a frenzy. People were running around, searching the graphs for any clues of where the focus of the mysterious earthquake originated from. Maps and computer readings were searched, yet they found nothing.

            “There’s no way. This is geologically impossible. It’s like the earthquake appeared out of thin air.”

            “Sir, do you think it was one of them? Those mutants?”

            “Son, I haven’t the slightest idea. We tell no one of this incident, got it? Nothing, from today, leaves this room.”

            I can’t believe I nearly got caught, again. What’s wrong with me lately? The last time it nearly found me as well. I had barely escaped. The earthquake hit within half an hour. That’s half an hour too close. I need to be on top of my game if I want to survive. If I want to last that long...Yah, Jung Jae Rin, focus...

          “Flight C-917 for Seoul will be opened for boarding at Gate 3 in fifteen minutes. That’s Flight C-917 for Seoul at Gate 3.”

            Jae Rin collected her bags and headed for Gate 3. One more flight, just to be safe. Looks like I’m going home. Seoul, I’m coming home.

            “Commander, Black Mist has escaped once again.”

            “Excellent. And I assume White Haze is still on his search?”

            “Yes, Sir. He missed her by 3 hours in San Diego. She’s gotten faster and stronger than the last time.”

            “And his status?”

            “He too, has grown stronger. They created a 6.2 this time. 3 points more than the last.”

            “Interesting. Seems like this will be ending soon, don’t you think?” The Commander smirked from his desk. His eyes scanned over the files laid on his desk, all containing information from their little project.

            “We’ll just have to wait for 100 days to see. Until then.”

            “Mm. You are dismissed.”

            Black Mist. White Haze. My, my, what a fine project you two have come out to be.

            She walked out of the air conditioned terminal into the humid, summer climate of Seoul. The warm, night air embraced her, her into the grasps of sweat inducing temperatures. Exactly like when I was a kid. She breathed in the thick air, a sense on nostalgia entering her with the breath she took. Her childhood, her parents, her memories came flooding into her thoughts, drowning her in guilty sentiments. I wonder where they are...Umma, Appa, I’m finally home...

This chapter is extremely short and abstract....oh my......but, it's for the story. A little side note about this plot, I actually thought of it during Infinite's 'Be Mine' promotions, but then couldn't get around to writing it until now. Somehow, it sort of fits in with their current promotions with 'The Chaser'. Huh, how convenient XD Anyway, the next chapter will have more characters!
