 Jung Seung Min is the 23 year old Crown Prince of the Joseon Dynasty. He grew up in a strict and educational home. He was happy and cheerful when around his family. His father ordered a contest to find him a crown princess. He was engaged to Hwang Hong Seul’s daughter, Hwang Mi Young. He loved her at first sight and intended to lead a perfect life with her. But on the wedding day, as he was going to see her, he finds her dead in her room. Shocked by the event, his mind couldn’t function correctly. Three days after the crown princess’s death, he was murdered in the palace. Until now there has been no clue as to who murdered the crown princess and prince. 

Hwang Min Young grew up in a educational and practically carefree family where she is the younger daughter of Hwang Hong Seul, one of the court officials. She is loving and caring. Many men have their eyes on her, but she refuses to even see them as a compatiable companion. Her father, worried that she might never get married, signs her up for the Crown Princess position for the Crown Prince. Eventually she falls in love with the Crown Prince, Jung Seung Min and is willing to marry him. But fate wasn't with her, as on the day of the wedding, being in the room by herself, she was murdered by an unknown person. Her life ended right then and she never got to see the Crown Prince's face again. 

Jung Yunho, the reincarnation of the Crown Prince 300 years into the future, is the only son of Jung Corps. He grew up without a mother by his side, to show love and care. He meets and falls in love with Yoo In Na when he was in 2nd year high school, but was abandoned by her when finding her playing with his feelings. Since then, he hasn't trust anyone, except for Kim Jaejoong, his best friend. He turned into an arrogant and rude person towards people without the same status as him. He believes the whole world should revolve around him. Under that mask, he's quite caring and warm, but barely shows it as he doesn't want to get hurt again by anyone. 

Hwang Tiffany, the reincarnation of the Crown Princess, grew up in a middle class family with only her and her grandparents. But those are not her real grandparents as 20 years ago, they found her out in the streets abandoned by her mother. They decided to take care of her and raise her as their own. She grew up to be a cheerful and carefree person, that loves her grandparents to death. She is very helpful and loves to be around people. She meets many new people and at times she ends up talking a lot. She brings the mood on around people. 

Kim Jaejoong is the best friend of Jung Yunho and has met him since they were young. They always hang out together. He is a ladies man and a huge playboy. Many girls adore and want to date him, but he only plays with their feelings. He is a casanova and thinks that every girl wants him. He listens to his parents well and never in his life has he disobeyed them. That is until he met Hwang Tiffany. Everything began to change. 

Yoo In Na is a beautiful girl who was Jung Yunho's first girlfriend. She began to really like him, but in the end she just hurts him. She pretends to be high class, but is actually a middle class person. Her mother loves money and always takes her money, no matter how hard she works for it. To other people, she is rude and arrogant. Her mother uses her to get near Jung Yunho in order to be able to have half the inheritance, but In Na hates that and after finding out what kind of person Yunho is, she decides to distance herself from him. She tries to break the bond between her and Yunho before he gets hurt further. Because behind that rude and arrogant mask is an innocent girl who is just looking for someone to love her for her and not her money. 

Kim Taeyeon is the younger sister of Kim Jaejoong. She is feminine and clingy to Yunho. She labels Yunho as he dream man and has always dreamed of marrying him. She depends on Yunho and Jaejoong to protect her. Ever since she was little, she was always bullied by other girls and both Yunho and Jaejoong were always there to protect her from any danger. She is clueless and blunt when it comes to Yunho, but smart when she is paying attention to other things. Eventually she learns to let go of her one sided love for him.
