DEATH. JUST A SECOND AWAY.

Description

A mysterious death that interrupted her life, her laugh, and her love haunts her day and night.

Who can she resort to when she trusts no one?

Just when she thought it was over, she realized that it has just begun.

Can she survive through this mission?

Will an unexpected romance ruin all her plans?

Can she love again?

A past that was not intended to be revealed slowly unravels itself in front of their eyes, as they go on a mission to end all the terror once and for all. Throughout the passage, the truths, the secrets, and the betrayals all threaten to destroy their trust within each other; and at the end, what conclusions will they put on their discoveries of human nature?

Foreword

PREFACE

With the bright light glistening through the cracks of my window shade, I stood still against the walls of my elegant and sophisticated room, credit given to my mom, as I have been for the whole night. Strangely, the lack of sleep was not able to overcome the sorrow that leaked from my moist eyes. Today's sunny weather reminded me that the world has moved on as always, and will never stop for me to recover from my sadness. I pulled myself to my own feet, stinging from the lack of movement, and walked over to my walk-in closet. The staggering amount of clothing was overwhelming as usual, but I was used to it. Without taking a second glance to consider all my possible options, I grabbed a pair of sweats, a tank, and a towel as I headed for the bathroom on the other side of my room. I could manage to settle for casualty for one day. Designer dresses, shoes, and accessories seemed to not fit into the gloomy picture today.

The water flowed down my body as if washing all my problems away. I stood still, feet glued to the marble bathtub, as I let the hot water bounce off my skin. With my eyes shut, I let the tears flow freely, running down my cheeks as I felt the saltiness on my lips... The horrible images took control of my thoughts, they replayed over and over all night and now yet again. They would not go away, like a nightmare. His horrified expression before death haunted me every second. The fact that I knew this expression had brought more fear to me than his actual death. I was scared to even wonder how many more times this would happen. This time, I know it's not a coincidence.

I slid open the glass shower door and stepped out with a towel wrapped around me. The chilly air greeted me, its coldness and harshness paralleled much of my own feelings. I stared at my reflection in the mirror; my eyes were red and puffy. My thoughts traveled to that terrible expression once again.

Beep, Beep. My phone rang on the counter. I slid it open as the text message revealed itself. 'Next time, who will it be?' I looked at the sender, and the word 'unknown' did not give me any help.

Dear Readers,

This is Grace again, the author that brought you Class 3-18 and Just Admit It, I Know You Love Me. I didn’t originally intend to post three stories at once, since I know readers are anxious for updates and three at a time would take longer. But as I perused through my old computer, I found this file and remembered my thoughts when I began writing it, and it captivated my mind for a while. So I decided to post I anyways.

I hope that was an interesting start and that you all had a happy reading, and please bear with me on all three stories as my attention must be divided! Please support and comment!

I’m also looking for a graphics design, and since I haven’t created a story in a while, I’m kind of out of touch with the graphic design world. So if anyone knows good sites that can finish it quickly, please tell me in the comments!

Love,

Grace
