Prologue

"Taetae?".......

"hmmm?"   Taeyeon replied.

" would you date me if you were a guy?"

"date you?...hmmmm... probably not...? "

she pouted and asked  "why not?"

"well...dating you would probably give you a hard time...you're a celebrity Tiff, with a full pack schedule....can you still manage to date someone like me? you barely hangout with me because of your busy schedule....
besides, it will only cause rumors and rumors.....would only damage your image." Taeyeon asnwered playfully.

she kept the pout on her face and asked her again.

"you don't like to date me because of that? what kind of reason is that Taetae? I thought if you like someone, you'd be brave enough to ask  her and even if she keeps on declining you'll keep on trying until she finally agrees to date you. I guess you don't have much perseverance Taetae." Tiffany answered seriously.

"Haha! Why are being serious all of a sudden? woahh~~~ fany-ah, do you like me? as in like? like?..... like more than a friend?"  Taeyeon answered playfully.

"what if I do Taetae? would you hate me? will I make things awkward? will you still treat me the way you used to?"  She answered with tears glistening in her eyes.

"Do you really want to know why I wouldn't date you fany-ah?...." Taeyeon answered seriously...

"I know how important your career is, you've sacrificed a lot to be in your position now. You've been through a lot and I could not afford to mess things up. We are talking about your dream fany-ah. Knowing that you are happy with what you are doing. I'd rather stay on bleachers watching you from afar.  With that I'm contented seeing that smile on your face. Your my bestest friend fany-ah, and I wouldn't trade you for anything. You are so important to me that I would not dare to stand between you and your dreams." She answered calmly while wiping the tears on Tiffany's cheeks.
Both of them stayed on that position while looking straight into each others eyes until Taeyeon broke off their loving gaze and said ...." I guess we should go back to our room fany-ah, you might catch colds....you still have a photoshoot right? "

"I guess we should....let's go?" she faked a smile and held onto Taeyeon's arm.


Fany's thoughts:
"I don't really know what's going inside that head of yours Taetae...I don't really know what you're thinking. How can act so cool about this?" fany sighed.

Taeyeon's thoughts:
"I am not oblivious of what you're feeling fany-ah, I hate myself for hurting you but I think we're not ready yet. I can't mess things up when you're on the peak of success. People aren't as understanding as you think. I'll protect you as much as I can. Fany-ah, I hope you'll wait till things aren't as complicated as now. I'm sorry for hurting you. I could not dare to say something stupid like I LOVE YOU. It's too complicated."

Both of them walked in silence until Taeyeon decided to speak.

"You're such a crybaby fany-ah." Taeyeon chuckled.

"Shut up dork!" Tiffany asnwered back.

They ended up laughing.
