The rain poured not too hard. But the sky isn’t as blue as usual. The sky turns into the grey; a perfect color for accompanying the rain. There are people in black standing around a small place while carrying a black umbrella. It’s not a party nor games or whatever that spells happiness. It was the other side.
One by once people starts leaving the place not forgetting to pat a man’s back, try to send their condolence and sorry for this man. What else it can be? It’s a funeral. The man shows a weak smile signaling that he thanked everybody for coming and that he’s okay, or maybe not. Once the crowd are gone, this man still stay; staring at the name on the stone.
In Memorial of a child, a friend, a family member:
Park Jae Han
1988- 2011
“Jae Han~” This man throw his umbrella clearly doesn’t care if he’s soaked from head to toe and caress the stone with his right hand.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” The tears he has kept today finally falls from his eyes. Then it goes down as hard as the rain. The man cried for a good minutes or maybe hour? He doesn’t even care.
“Hae ah~ Let him go.” Someone grabbed Donghae’s shoulder from behind. The rain stop hitting him because this someone share his umbrella with Donghae. Without even looking, Donghae knows who’s that person. Still sobbing, he tried to speak.
