Ever since that day, he ignored all of us. Before, we would always walk home together but now, he's always with Suzy. He's too busy with Suzy. He doesn't even eat with us during lunch time anymore. It's been a while since I last talked to him until one night, Taemin called me.

"Hey ssul" he greeted me

"Uh hey" I answered shyly

"It's been a while, huh?"

"Not my fault" I said a bit colder than I was supposed to. "Anyway, what do you want?" I continued.

"Do you know what tomorrow is?" He asked, a bit excited

"Uh Saturday?"

He laughed. "No silly, try again."

I looked at my calendar and saw that it's my birthday tomorrow. Damn, I forgot... but he didn't... OMG HE REMEMBERED MY BIRTHDAY

I picked up the phone again, giggling. I obviously cannot contain my happiness.

"So, do you know now?" He asked, noticing my laughs.

"Not yet." I pretend to be oblivious and try so hard to contain my giggles.

He sighed. I can sense his frown on the other end of the line but there's still a huge stupid smile plastered on my face.

"Sulli, tomorrow is..."

"Yeah?" I'm so excited, I want to squeal!

"TOMORROW IS OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY, SUZY AND ME" He shouted, excitedly

My grin started to fade. Oh, it's their anniversary. It's their ing anniversary that's why he called. Not because of your stupid birthday, . Wow, that actually hurts. Taemin, my best friend ever since we were in diapers, forgot my birthday. Even with my heart broken, I still managed to answer him.

"Oh... is that why you called me? To tell me it's your anniversary?" I asked, my voice shaking

"There's still something I wanna tell you" He said

I got my hopes up again, expecting him to remember my birthday but then again, he disappointed me.

"I want to ask for your help. Can you come over at my house tomorrow and help me prepare a date?" He asked, hopeful

Of course, the stupid friend I am, agreed. I don't even know why I'm doing this. Because I can't resist him? Because I don't want to disappoint him? Because I don't want to make him sad? Because I love him? Bull.

"Thanks Ssul, you're the best!" He said "You know, if I'm there with you, I would hug you so tight 'til you can't possibly breathe anymore" He laughed

That laugh, I haven't heard that laugh for a while now. I missed it... so much.

"Yah! Do you want me to die?" I joked with him, and started laughing as well.

We started chatting and talking about everything. We catched up with each other, saying nonsense things. Just like the old times.

We spent hours talking. I would be more happier if he's here right now. I wish we would be like this forever... but as much cruel as it sounds, there's no such thing as forever.

"So, I gotta go now. I have a special day tomorrow and I need some rest. And you need to sleep too. You have to help me, remember?" He said.

Once again, I am reminded of how reality can be so cruel. My tears started to flow again. I try my best to control my sobs so Taemin can't hear. As soon as he said his goodbyes and goodnights, I hurriedly put the phone down and cried my heart out. I was sobbing hard, causing me to have a hard time breathing. I don't know how long I have been crying but it must be a while now. Clenching my chest, I lie down, my tears kept on flowing 'til my pillow was soaking wet. I couldn't bear the pain anymore. I was breathing rapidly, gasping for air. Shakily, I stand up, walk to the door. As I reach for the knob, my heart started aching then the next thing I know, I was lying unconscious on the floor.
