Chapter 47

My Enemy, My Lover in the Skatepark

This is the first time in your life that someone won over you. Yongguk totally managed to show you that you were wrong by not trusting him and doubting in his ability to make things right. The moment everyone walked out and your parents told you that you could stay in Korea if you wanted, you didn’t know what to react to first. The fact that your parents let you stay, the fact that you have wonderful friends who didn’t want to let go of you or the fact that your boyfriend gave his everything to fix every little thing he did and even more.

The whole situation was so incredibly wonderful and too good to be true, that it left you speechless and all you could do was let your tears of joy out. The happiness that you suddenly felt was so overwhelming that you forgot about all the bad things that happened to you these past weeks and just cried your heart out for a good reason. When Yongguk walked up to you and put his arms around you, you didn’t hesitate a second to melt into his embrace and feel complete again after all this time.

Considering the fact that no one went up to you, not even your parents, only made you realize that Yongguk has told them about you two being in a relationship. After a few seconds of just silently crying into your hands, you slowly moved them away from your face and towards Yongguk’s lower back. You rested your arms on his back and pulled him even closer to your head.

“Thank you,” you whispered into his neck only to have him kiss your forehead as a response.

”Keep talking,” you watched Yongguk with curious eyes as he explained everything to you on your way home.

The two of you were in a cab that your father called before he and your mother boarded the plane. It was hard to say goodbye to them. Your mother let a few tears ran down her cheeks but other than that, you couldn’t wait to see what life has in store for you in the next couple of months. You were all alone now without any parents around you.

“So yeah, in the end you got accepted and school starts in two weeks,” he smiled widely as he squeezed your hand that he was holding and refused to release during the whole ride.

“What major is it even?” you arched your right eyebrow as that question hit you.

“Design.”

“D-design?” you stuttered as the information reached your ears.

“Yeah, why not? JR told me that you are pretty creative so why not use that quality and make something big out of it?”

“Wow…” you turned your head to the other side and faced the window instead. A huge smile started spreading across your face and this was the first time in a long time that you were happy again. You remembered when you helped JR design some of their skateboards and you enjoyed every single minute that you spend by that computer screen. You looked back at Yongguk whose eyes still didn’t leave yours and you felt a warm feeling finally creep back into your heart. “Thank you, really.”

“Nonsense,” he shook his head and pulled you closer to him, “It was my duty to take care of the situation you were dealing with.”

You wanted to cry again out of happiness but these couple of weeks you have been crying so much that you were literally running out of tears. Instead, you rested your head on his shoulder and looked past the taxi driver and ahead on the road.

“How?” you continued with your questions that needed an answer.

“How what?” he asked calmly.

“How did you do it? I mean, fixing someone into a college shouldn’t be that easy right?”

You could feel him taking a deep breath before continuing with his explanations, “Right… Well my father helped me.”

At that, you couldn’t help but lift your head from his shoulder and turn to look at him with wide eyes, “What?”

“Yeah…”

“Is everything alright between you now?”

“Not really,” he shook his head just as the taxi driver pulled the cab near Yongguk’s house.

The two of you went out of the car, you paid the driver and before you could turn around to look at Yongguk, he was already holding your left hand and slowly leading you towards his front door.

“Then how did he help you?”

“Let’s just say I made a deal,” he smirked as the two of you entered his house just to be greeted by his mother who was apparently on her way out.

“Oh kids, you are already back!”

“Yeah, no traffic on the roads,” Yongguk eyed his mother, “Where are you going?”

“I’m going over to Mr. Hwang’s,” she put on her shoes as she reached for the door that you were standing by at the moment.

“Mr. Hwang as in our neighbor Mr. Hwang?!”

She began laughing nervously while shaking her head, “Yes silly, he needed some help with a cake he was making.”

“A cake?!”

“Bye! I will be back in an hour or so,” and with that she opened the door and walked out of the house.

You watched Yongguk with mocking eyes before releasing a laugh that you were holding in from the second you walked through the front door. The face expression that he had was priceless and you couldn’t help but slightly pinch his cheek as you walked past him and into the living room, “Calm down, they are just making a cake.”

“Jin Ah this is not funny,” he followed you and didn’t hesitate to sit right next to you on the couch.

“Yes it is, ‘cause you’re making a big deal out of it,” you rolled your eyes, “Now don’t change the subject from before and tell me what you did to your dad?”

This time it was him who rolled his eyes in annoyance, “I didn’t do anything wrong. He offered to help me get into a college through some contacts back in the U.S and I refused to take the offer. After trying to fix you into a school before the official acceptance date, I realized that I wouldn’t succeed unless I had some contacts which my dad had. I called him and told him to help me if he didn’t want me to hate him for the rest of my life.”

“Yongguk…”

“What? After everything he has done to me, this is the least he could do to at least give him a better conscience.”

“Everything he did, he did it for your own good.”

“And he crossed a couple of lines with that,” he added arrogantly before shifting in the couch and locking his eyes onto yours, “Now drop that and let me enjoy my time with my girlfriend that I missed so freaking much.”

You rolled your eyes before laughing as he pulled you by your shoulders and pushed you down so you were lying on the couch.

“You’re mine.”

After spending the first night without parents at Yongguk’s place, you were now on your way to your new home. Yongguk refused to tell you what or where it was and the only thing you knew was that you were about to meet up with Zico.

As you were skating and holding onto Yongguk’s shirt, you cheated by letting him pull you forward which he definitely didn’t like that much but you couldn’t care less. Just as you passed the skate park, you saw Zelo walking towards the entrance and out.

“Hyung! Noona!”

Both you and Yongguk turned your heads and smiled at the younger.

“Where are you going?”

“To Jin Ah’s new place,” Yongguk answered as he pulled onto his shirt, making you lose your grip.

You pouted once but shook it off immediately before fixing your snapback.

“Can I come with you?” he asked curiously.

“No.”

“Yes.”

You and Yongguk exchanged looks and you glared at him for a moment while raising one of your eyebrows.

“Of course he can,” you spoke and looked back at Zelo, “Jump on your skateboard and follow us.”

“I knew I liked you more noona!”

You flashed a warm smile towards him and turned towards Yongguk again before mentioning with a nod, to move forward.

“Sooo… Do you like it?” Zico leaned on the doorframe of the living room that was connected to the kitchen.

“It’s nice,” you took a few steps inside while looking around, “It’s cozy.”

The apartment was small with only two rooms and a bathroom. There was one huge room that was a living room and kitchen at once and one smaller room where a bigger bed was seated. Since it was so small, it really did feel cozy and you liked it. The furniture wasn’t one of the newer version but you honestly didn’t mind. You were glad that you at least had an own place and didn’t have to spend the rest of your time here at Yongguk’s. As much as you loved being near him, you still wanted some space from time to time.

“Glad to hear that,” he nodded.

“Thank you, Z,” Yongguk gave him a high-five before bumping his shoulder onto Zico’s.

“Hey, it’s nothing. No one is living here anyway. I don’t even know why my parents bought it. Considering the fact that there is a monthly rent to pay, I think it’s only their lost.”

“There is a monthly rent?!” Zelo jumped up from the small couch he was sitting on.

“Yeah?” said Zico with a confused look.

You turned around and instead of looking at Zico, your attention was all on Yongguk. You watched him while waiting for an answer and explanation. He was the one who fixed this so he should have a solution to this too.

While slowly putting his hands in his pockets, he nodded his head to Zico’s statement.

“It’s common sense to pay for living somewhere,” he said casually.

“But… I don’t have the money,” your eyes wandered from Yongguk to Zico and back to your boyfriend again.

“Don’t you think that I already thought about that?” he let out a small laugh as he started approaching you, “That’s why I got you a part-time job.”

“A j-job?”

He nodded like a little kid while resting his arms on your hips, totally ignoring the other two guys in the room.

“Yes, JR helped me.”

“What did he do?”

“He talked to his father who offered you a job in his shop.”

Gradually, you felt your mouth open in disbelief and excitement and the same time, “No way.”

“Yes way.”

“Wow noona, that’s awesome!” Zelo clapped excitedly, also turning into a little child.

Your smile was now permanently plastered on your face because you were so grateful to the guy who fixed every little thing needed.

“You really thought about everything,” you spoke silently, trying to keep as calm as possible.

"You didn’t believe in fairytales so I just fixed a fairytale-like reality,” he tilted his head, showing you that he made a point.

You shook your head and slightly pushed him off of you before looking past Yongguk and at Zico.

“Thank you, Zico. I really like this place.”

“No biggie, Jin,” he waved his hand before calling Zelo to follow him out, “Let’s leave these love birds alone for a while.”

You couldn’t help but blush at the sudden words that left his mouth. Was is that obvious?

“It’s okay, I’m coming with you,” Yongguk turned around and headed after Zico, “I need to get her things over here and you are going to help me.”

“Hey, I didn’t sign up for this!” Zico protested as the three of them walked out of the apartment and towards the elevator.

“Now you did.”

“Well good luck on your first day, honey!” your mother spoke through the phone line.

“Thank you, mom. Tell dad I said hi.”

“I will. Take care of yourself and don’t do stupid things,” she chuckled.

“I won’t, trust me. I don’t even have time,” you joined her with the chuckle.

“Alright. I love you!”

“Love you too. Bye!”

And with that you hung up after exactly one hour of talking to your mother and even Hoya for a bit. It’s been almost two weeks since their departure and you told her about most of the things that happened here. You told her about your job at JR’s shop and how you liked your new apartment.

It was nice to talk to her again because she is your mother after all and only now did you realize how much you missed her. Although it’s been two weeks since they moved, you were still not used to living without them but you knew that you will get used to it with time.

In two days is your first day of school and you were more than nervous about it. It’s one more step into the adult world and you weren’t really ready but with your friends’ support, you also knew that you could get through it.

As you talked to your mother on the phone, you managed to fix yourself something to eat so you just chilled for the rest of the day and took it easy before college. As you took a bite of the beef you roasted, you picked up your phone and went straight to your text messages.

You missed Yongguk so you wanted to check up on him. You haven’t seen him in three days now because you have been busy with work and fixing some last paperwork. He wanted to give you some space so you could fix everything but now that you are done with most of the things you felt that you needed his presence.

Without even realizing it, instead of asking what he was doing you typed a simple ‘I miss you’ and send the message.

You put your phone to the side for a while so you could take another bite from that delicious piece of meat but just as you opened your mouth to put it inside, the piece you were holding on your fork, landed right on your white shirt. What freaked you out the most was that it was covered in a sauce that according to your mother, doesn’t wash out so easily.

Before you knew it, you ran to your bathroom and opened the water just to drench your shirt in the sink and attack it with any kind of soap you found.

“Damn it,” you cursed yourself and started rubbing the spot where the food landed on.

You spend a good ten minutes in there by rubbing the piece of fabric over and over again while washing out the stain. In the end, it finally disappeared and you exhaled in relief. You hung the shirt by the door and picked put another one to wear before walking out of the bathroom and heading back to the living room where you left your plate.

As you entered the room, a sitting figure greeted you with a smirk. Yongguk was casually sitting there and eating from your food that you munched on just minutes ago.

“What are you doing here?”

“Me?” he asked innocently, “Didn’t you tell me you missed me a moment ago?”

You furrowed your eyebrows for a second before your face softened, “You didn’t have to come all the way to here,” you protested and walked up to the couch to sit beside him, “And that is my food by the way.”

“Delicious,” he said and picked up whatever was left on the plate to put it in his mouth, “I missed you too,” he said after swallowing everything.

You tilted your head to your side and arched both of your eyebrows.

“I really did!”

“How come you came here so fast?” you asked instead, “Wait a minute. How did you even come in?!”

“Yeah, about that,” he cleared his throat, “Why didn’t you lock your door? You should be more careful, I don’t want anything to happen to you,” he said with a more serious tone in his voice.

“Nothing will happen to me,” you said and stood from the couch to head towards the door and lock it for his sake.

“I already locked it,” he spoke before you could reach the door handle, “Seriously, don’t do that again.”

“You need to calm down mister,” you warned him as you walked back and returned to your original spot, “Have you forgotten who I am?”

“My baby,” he reached for your hand before pulling you towards him, “And my baby should listen to me.”

You followed his movement and in matter of seconds you were sitting on his lap as he leaned and rested his head on the backrest of the sofa while gently caressing one of your thighs.

“Well what if your baby doesn’t listen to you?” you mocked.

“Then she will be punished,” he smirked and took hold of your legs while letting your body slide even closer to his, “And I don’t think she wants that, or does she?”

“Maybe,” you played along and leaned down until your faces were inches away from each other.

“Really now?” he whispered with his eyes on your lips.

You decided not to answer and just slowly nodded your head at his question when suddenly, he startled you by grabbing your head and crashing your lips together without mercy.

You couldn’t help but let out a small moan as the two of you expressed your love for each other by passionately making out right there at the moment. You ran your hands through his hair and even grabbed a section to slightly pull on it, making him groan into the kiss.

After practically kissing each other to the point where no air was left in your lungs, the two of you broke the kiss and started breathing heavily while looking right into each other’s eyes. You could see lust burning in his eyes and you knew that you expressed the same feeling.

“I love you,” he said out of nowhere as his rose up and down.

“Wh-what?”

“I love you, Jin Ah,” he repeated more determined.

That sentence threw you off the edge and all you could do was take hold of his head and kissing him even harder this time. No words or actions could show him how much you loved him back. How much you wanted him in your life forever. And how lucky you were for having him.

“I… love… you too,” you managed to let out in between kisses and once you did that, you saw him pick you up and throw you on the couch just to hover your body with his.

“Say that again,” he ordered.

“I love you, Bang Yongguk.”

After that, things developed from one kiss into something bigger in matter of minutes and not a single damn was given.

***

Yongguk spent the night at yours and the next morning both of you were woken by his phone ringing for the third time in five minutes.

“Just pick it up!” you slightly hit his shoulder with your free hand as you rested your head on his upper body.

He let out an irritated groan as he did as told and once he said his lazy ‘Hello’ both of you were taken back from the next thing you heard.

“Hello Bang Yongguk, my name is Adrian Lovison and I’m the head of the skating festival you attended this year.”

Although he didn’t have speakers on, the phone was loud enough for you to hear every word that the other man spoke.

“I’m calling for a new deal which could suit both you and us,” he continued, “Are you interested in it?”

The last time I read this story of yours, I didn't left a comment since I didn't know what to do nor what to say. But even after few years (I remember read this probably three years ago when it almost completed), it still left an impact for me. Truthfully this is one of my favorite story and the good written one. I always prefer the 20 chapters fiction and I remember that I need few days to finish read this one, and I have no regret after that (until now, heheh). I'd like to re-read again some time later in my free time since I miss BAP guys too ;)

Chapter 49: Omg! This was so damn adorable ❤❤❤
I loved the whole story and I had to try stop myself from crying whenever Jin Ah got sad...
Well. There are so many moments that were just so funny and made me laugh, so I loved them all. My favorite moment was... I think when Yongguk used the 'Jin Ah Slide' to win.
Just minutes before I read it I was like *oh I bet he's gonna use that Slide Jin Ah beat him with and if that doesn't work he might as well use his 'Mirror' killer-move* So I screamed out "Told u so" so loud XD
But all in all the whole story was cool from beginning til the end. Just loved them all - everything!
Thank you so much

Chapter 50: ♡♡
Aww. And I've come to the finale.
Too bad. I could keep reading this.
..It just got good too.
Thank you, author-nim!
I enjoyed reading this.
Even if my makeup ran a couple times from all the crying I did reading this.
..Though I'm wondering..JB and Yongguk only hated each other in the beginning because of their rivalry..right? Nothing personal.. .
