A few days later

"I don't understand you.. I offered you my help and it seems to start working. You really need to reveal your feelings before he'll meet someone else."

"I know…I try… It just really hard on me. Besides, he won't accept my feelings."

Kai laughed. "I would be surprised if he will."

Minho and I entered the SM building the next day, then we bumped into Kai and D.O.

"hanyeonghaseyo hyungs! Good morning!" D.O mumbled happily while Kai just stood there next to him, smiling.

"Oh! Good morning!" Minho smiled back.

I smiled as well, until I shifted my gaze to their hands.

My smile faded.

They.. they're holding hands.

Why is he holding his hand?

Kai realized where I was staring and pulled his hands out of D.O's. D.O seemed startled but just shook it off.

"I just.. my hand started to sweat.." Kai explained in apology.

"What's wrong Taeminnie? What with your face?" Minho asked.

I looked at Kai's not defined expression. "Uh.. no..nothing."

"Okay.. D.O and I have schedule at the radio so we'll leave first."

"Right. Have a good day both of you" D.O said and winked to Kai before leaving.

And they left.

"You seem to.. love skinship lately" I mumbled.

"Uhm..No it's not that..it just..uhm.." he struggled.

"Forget it. You don't need to explain."

He's just a member that encouraged me before I confess. kai thought.

"Let's go grab something to eat."

We sat on our regular place at the cafeteria. Both eating without saying a word. I kept thinking about the incident before.

"Taemin hyung! I thought you would be happy to hear it."

"Hear what?"

Kai pouted. "Buya hyung.. You didn't even listen? Forget it"

"Yah! Just tell me again you punk"

Kai giggled. "I'm going to confess."

He what?

What he just said?

Confess?

"You know what. I think you should not." It just came out from my mouth.

"R..really? but.. but you told me.. but you forced me to do it for so long. I thought you would be glad I decided to finally confess."

I just sat there, silent. The kid was right and I had no explanation.

"But why hyung? What have changed?"

"Nothing. I just think you shouldn't do it."

"It's D.O. Right?"

Kai frowned "What?"

"The one you want to confess to. It's him right? Don't do that. He's a member on EXO, What if something will go wrong? What if you lose your friendship? Is this a price you are willing to pay?"

Kai bit his lower lip and rubbed his forehead. "I thought you were sure he'll like me back..I thought.." he sighed.

Again, silent filled the air.

"I will leave first" Kai stood up with his food tray and turned around to leave. "And.. It's not D.O hyung, but I guess you were right. He won't like me back and this is a friendship I am not willing to lose. Thank you for stopping me."
