Autumn 2004.

Our favourite time of season. Unnie had just turned 13 this year, while I'll turn 12 by next month. Sohyeon Unnie and I have been reading a couple of books under the cherry blossom seed that we had just planted together . Unnie always liked hanging out here. As much as we enjoyed each others company, I just can't help myself not to hate pink.

"You're glaring at our tree again Hyeri-ah." Unnie said grining from ear-to-ear.

"I can't help it Unnie. Even though I love this type of tree, It's seriously bugging me because of it's color." I said why pouting.

Unnie always forgives me whenever I do strange things. But up until now she won't tell me why.

"You meet someone. You two get close. Its all great for awhile. Then someone stops trying. Talk less. Awkward conversations. The drifting. No communication whatsoever. Memories start to fade. Then that person you know becomes that person you KNEW. That’s how it usually goes, right? Sad isn’t it?" Unnie started speaking. I froze on my spot.

"Why say that Unnie?" a frown was already plastered on Sohyeon Unnie's face.

"I read it on a blog while I was reading some of your stories." Unnie began.

"oh..............." Why would Unnie tell that all of a sudden?

"L-listen Hyeri-ah..........I-I'm moving." Unnie said.

"Y-you-you're m-moving? Why all of a sudden Unnie?" I tried to make myself comfortable under the tree.

"My Dad got transfered to San Francisco. You understand me, right ? I can't stay here." Unnie replied calmly.

"I know. I know. But-" Unnie had cut me off.

"No buts Dubu-ah." 

Hmm.......Dubu. My first nickname. I haven't heard it for a long time now. Hearing it again, I know I really missed it.

"Pfft. What's with you Unnie? All of a sudden calling me by my old name. You stopped calling me 'Dubu' when we were 11, remember?" I cited.

Sohyeon Unnie had suddenly spread her arms wide, signalling for a hug. I quickly grabbed her arms and return a longful embrace.

"Promise me something Hyeri-ah. That even when Unnie leaves, Our friendship will never ever fade. That even when we'll lost touch of each other, Even though I'm far from you, always remember that I love you and that I'll always watch over you, and our friendship." Unnie calmly whispered.

"I promise Unnie. I promise." I said while embracing her at the same time.

"Unnie?" I said.

"Hmmm?" Unnie replied back.

"When will we say this to Taemin oppa?" I said. 

Taemin oppa is Sohyeon Unnie's boyfriend. Oppa's the kind of person that always keeps a smile whenever things get though. I wonder how he'll take this.

"I know. I'll find a way. I'll find a way."

Autumn 2012.

It's been 8 years since unnie left. It has also been 8 years since I had heard from Taemin oppa. I'm doing great so far. Even though that we all had lost communication, The feeling of loneliness still lingers through me. But never had I forgotten our promise.

Unnie, look at our tree. It's already big and pretty. I had been taking care of it. Unnie, Are you proud of me? Do you still remember me?

"Hyeri-ah, come here for a second." My Dad called me.

I went back to our house. But not before saying goodbye to our tree first.

"Bye-Bye Cherrie. I'll see you later!!" I said while waving at the tree.

"What is it Dad?" I asked while entering our house.

"Let's go to my office. Your mom's waiting there." said Dad.

"Mom? I thought she's on a cruise. Won't she come back the day after tomorrow?" I said confusingly.

"She went to surprise you honey. She Just came back last night, while you were in your room."

Dad and I had reached his office. I slowly turned the door revealing my mom in front of Dad's desk.

"Hi dear. Miss me?" Mom said while tackling me into a hug.

"Yeah Mom. I missed you." I replied back.

I found myself sitting besides my Mom. They soon turned serious leavig a sense of tension around the atmosphere.

"Um, What is it that you wanted to talk to me about Dad?" I said while trying to break the akward atmosphere.

"Well, I'll just put this straight and clear." Dad had begun. I tilted my head to the side leaving a confused expression painted all over my face.

"You're getting married."
