I keep hearing this sweet music. If I’m lost in thought, it is all I can hear until someone tries to get my attention. It sounds like a guitar at first but then singing starts; Soft beautiful, singing that takes my breath away.

I tried to replicate the song, but I could never remember it all. If Taemin heard me trying to sing it, he’d beg me to stop. He’d ask me to stop trying to remember. He tells me I’ll only be hurt. So I stopped for a while, but the dreams never did. One night, when I convinced Taemin to go out with Minho, I started singing it.

My voice used to be beautiful, but after my accident, it came out as if I knew the words since birth. It was a beautiful song about begging the person you love to stay with you. It sounded like it was meant for two people, but I didn’t know who the other person was.

As I finished the song, I had tears falling from my eyes. I had no idea why, I couldn’t stop them either. They just kept coming.

I heard the door open and Taemin’s voice. I tried my best to wipe the tears, but they just kept coming.  I heard my bedroom door open and instantly Taemin’s arms were around me. He hadn’t seen me cry since I woke up. I haven’t cried since then.

“Hyung, hyung! What’s wrong?” He asked me. I could heard Minho in the background, calling Kibum from somewhere in the house.

I reached up and held onto Taemin’s face, “Tell me… tell me the truth… everything… who is this person?”

Taemin started to cry now. I felt the tears against my hands and I could hear his breathing, “Hyung… don’t do this to yourself… forget about him… he’s only ever hurt you…”

“What hurts more is not knowing the truth,” I replied. I felt him shake his head, but I knew I had one this battle.

The other laughed so hard and I joined in, “Yah, yah! Slow down! You’ll get us killed!”

“No way. I’m the bestest driver evvvvvver,” the blonde said as he laughed.

I looked over at him and laughed. His face was blurry, but for some reason clearer than before, “Jjong! Slow down!”

“I got it! I got it! I’m slowing down! Ugh, we’re going to hit a red light!” He complained, but I just laughed. “Sing with me~”

“Fine, fine,” he laughed before he began singing, “I will spin you right round, baby, right roun-“

“Not that song!” I laughed, punching his arm before he took off once the red light was gone.

He laughed more, but he kept singing more song, “Hit me baby one more time! It’s like Insomnia woohoo~”

I hit his arm again as he neared another light, “It’s a red light. Stop.”

“We can totally make it,” he assured the other. He pressed harder on the gas. I just laughed until I say the light of a car to my side. “Jonghyun-“

Everything went white.
