Amber Liu: Half-Taiwanese and half-Korean, Amber was transplanted from Taiwan to Korea when her mother decided to return to her homeland after her husband's death. Feisty and independent, she’s been living on her own since she was 17 and her mother remarried. She’s looking to finally forge a place of her own in a country that she never felt entirely at home in.

Lee Donghae: A ramyeon chef who started out as an apprentice and found favour with his master. Unexpectedly, the old man left his shop to the gentle, soft-spoken young man instead of his own hot-headed son. He has devoted his life to keeping the ramyeon shop afloat and his master’s reputation intact.

These two people couldn’t have been more different but when their worlds collide a long time ago, their lives become entwined.
