Chapter 1

Jessica’s POV

Love brings happiness to people.

Love gives butterflies in your tummy no matter how many times you see that person...
Loves is when you look and smile at that person for no reason.

Love is what all of people longing for.

That is love but people have a misconception of it because they believe that the person they love would be with them forever like those in fairytales. Love brings sadness and pain. It is what most people do not know.

I myself had fallen in love but I don’t know if I ever love again.

I fell in love with a guy whose 1 year older than me. He was an upper classman in high school who always take care of me. And then I fell in love with him. It took time for me to convey my feelings for him until I confess my love for him until his graduation. I confess to him and he accepted my love for him until we became a couple. But something happened that had a turned in our relationship.

It all happened 5 years ago

 

I was sleeping in my room until my phone ring.

►Only You, My Valentine ♫♪♫♪♫♪

“Yobeoseyo….” I said as I was lying on the bed

“Jessie……It’s me Taec” Taecyeon said

“Oh! Taec, so what’s up?” I said

“I’m almost at your house to pick you up. I’ll be there in 10 minutes….Bye” Taecyeon said and end the call

“Wait Taec……” I said

I quickly got out of bed and went directly to the bathroom.

“Aish!!!!!! Why did I fall asleep and forgot about my date with Taec?” I said

I wash my face and brush my teeth and went to my closet to find a dress to wear.

“What should I wear??? Eottokke….Taec would be here any minute now” I said

Then someone knock on my door.

“Unnie, Taec is already downstairs waiting for you.” Krystal said

“I’ll be right there. Can you tell him to wait for just 15 minutes” I said

“Aish!!!! Unnie as always…….You’re making him wait for you. Fine I’ll tell him” Krystal said

“Thanks Krystal” I said

I just quickly choose the dress and quickly put some make up on and fix my hair.

Meanwhile downstairs

“Taec, can you wait for 30 minutes. I think she wouldn’t be finish yet” Krystal said

“It’s okay, I’m used to it.” Taecyeon said

“Would you like some cake or something to drink?” Krystal said

“No thanks, just a juice would be fine.” Taecyeon said

“Okay, just wait for it. I’ll just get some in the kitchen” Krystal said

Krystal went to the kitchen to get the drink and quickly went back to the living room.

“Here” Krystal said as she put the orange juice on the table

“Thanks” Taecyeon said

30 minutes passed and Jessica went down.

 “Taec…..” I said as I got down

“Jessie…You look beautiful” Taecyeon said as he stands up

I was blushing and said “Let’s go”

“Bye Unnie, bye Taec-Oppa” Krystal said and wave

We waved goodbye to Krystal and went outside our house

Taecyeon open the door of his car for me and Taecyeon drive the car.

In the car

“Where are we going?” I said

“It’s a secret…” Taecyeon said

Taecyeon drive the car into a fancy fine dining restaurant in Los Angeles.

We went down the car and went inside the restaurant.

“Table for 2, Sir?” The receptionist said

“No, I made a reservation” Taecyeon said

“May I know your name Sir?” The receptionist said

“Ok Taecyeon” Taecyeon said

“Oh! Mr.Ok. Please take them to their seats” The receptionist said to the waiter

“Please come this way sir and madam” The waiter said

The waiter takes us to our seats and gives us the menu.

“Jessie, what would you like?” Taecyeon said

“I’m fine with anything…you choose” I said

“Ok, Waiter!” Taecyeon said

“1 Medium-rare steak, 1 Well-done steak, 1 bottle of red wine, 2 risottos, 2 panna cotta and 2 mushroom soups” Taecyeon said

“Okay then let me just repeat your order, 1 Medium-rare steak, 1 Well-done steak, 1 bottle of red wine, 2 risottos, 2 panna cotta and 2 mushroom soups” The waiter said

“Taec, you order a lot of food” I said

“It’s okay, you need to eat look you’re so thin” Taecyeon said

“I am not” I said

“It’s okay if you don’t finish it all” Taecyeon said

After a few minutes the food arrive

“Here are your orders ma’am and sir” The waiter said as he put the food on the table

Taecyeon and I started eating the foods

“So Taec, What is the important thing you wanted to talk about?” I said

“Jessie, I know it is going to be a shock but…………I’m going to Korea and I’m leaving two days from now” Taecyeon said

“Ah, okay so when would you’ll be back?” I said

“I’m not coming back…..” Taecyeon said

“What??? But, why?” I said

“Our company would be expanding their business and my father wants me to take care of it.” Taecyeon said

“But, I can’t live without you” I said

“But I don’t have a choice” Taecyeon said

“But, what about me? What about our relationship? Is it important to you?” I said

“I know it’s going to be hard but I promise to go here and be with you from time to time” Taecyeon said

“But……” I said

“Please, Jessie………” Taecyeon said

“I’m coming with you………” I said

“No, you can’t. You’re still studying and you’ll be graduating this year and I don’t want to be the reason why you would withdraw from school” Taecyeon said

“But………I want to be with you” I said

“Please bear with it………Jessie……please” Taecyeon said

“I can’t and I don’t want you to leave me…” I said as I stand up and ran towards the exit crying.

“Jessie wait………” Taecyeon said

I was running through the street crying until the rain was falling from the sky

“You’re crying with me too…..” I said

Then Taecyeon was coming near while he was riding his car with the window open.

“Jessie, please get inside the car or you’ll get sick” Taecyeon said

“I don’t want to” I said

“Krystal and Tiffany would get mad at me if you get sick.” Taecyeon said

“Why do you care? You don’t care me or my feelings” I said

“Jessie please, just let me take you home.” Taecyeon said

“I don’t want to just leave me alone. You’re going to leave me yet you’re still concern with me” I said

Then a taxi came by and I call the taxi and rode it I was crying inside the taxi until I reach home and I saw Taecyeon’s car outside our house so I ask the taxi driver to take me to my best friend’s house.

We arrive at Tiffany’s house

I rang the doorbell and Tiffany was the one who open the door.

“Jessie, what happened? Why are you soaked and your eyes red and puffy?” Tiffany said

“Tiff…..” I said and started to cry

“Let’s go inside” Tiffany said

When we went inside Tiffany give me a towel and hot chocolate. We sat down the living room.

“Tiff, he’s leaving me……” I said crying

“Why that Taecyeon? He’s going to pay for what he’d done to you” Tiffany said

“No, don’t. It is not really his fault. It is just that he said he is going to Korea and not coming back” I said

“What! He is going to Korea” Tiffany said

“Yes and he doesn’t want me to go with him because I’m still studying” I said

“I understand how you feel but Jessie you should go and apologize to Taecyeon tomorrow” Tiffany said

“But why? I said

“He is just concern with you and he’s going to visit you, if he has time isn’t he?” Tiffany said

“Yeah” I said

“Then there is nothing to worry about and if you have time you can visit him too.” Tiffany said

“But I want to see him all the time. I can’t bear the fact of not being with him” I said

“Jessie, you can be with him after we graduate. We can create our own business there just like we always dream of. Then you can be with him. Okay?” Tiffany said

“Yeah, you’re right. Tiffany, you’re the best. You really understand me.” I said

“That’s why I’m your best friend” Tiffany said

We were laughing and I stay there and went home the next day. When I went in my house, my sister was running to hug me while crying.

“Unnie, where were you? I was so worried about you.” Krystal said

“I was at Tiff’s” I said

“Thank goodness, you’re alright. Taec-oppa was here until a while ago but he already went home. He was very worried that you didn’t answer your phone” Krystal said

“I know I’ll talk to him later” I said

“Unnie you better apologize and talk to him” Krystal said

I went upstairs and went to my room to change. I’ve been thinking all night about what Tiff said and I think she’s right about it. I should finish first my studies and then I’ll go and follow him.

I went to my room and saw that it was filled with roses. I was shock to see it. I sat down my bed and smell the bouquet of flowers that was on my bed. I notice that there is a letter inside it. I open it and read it.

In the Letter:

Jessie,

I know you’re hurt but please forgive me. You know that I can’t turn down my parents so please understand my situation. I promise that I would come visit you here often.

I cried as I read the letter. I know that he should not be the one to apologize but it should be me. I know that he can’t do anything about it. I really should apologize to him but I don’t know what I can say to him. Half of my heart says I should apologize and half of it is saying don’t let him go.

I got my phone and went and call Taec’s phone. It was ringing continuously until the phone says: “Sorry, this phone is unavailable right now. Please try your call later”

“Why is he not answering he’s phone?” I said

I kept calling and calling Taec’s phone but I got the same answer over and over again.

I was crying and I stop calling him. And then my phone rang and I look to see who it was and it was a call from Tiff. I answered the phone.

“Tiff…..” I said

“Jessie, are you crying???” Tiffany said

“No” I said

“Don’t lie……I know you…..You’re crying” Tiffany said

“Okay………I’m crying” I said and wipe my tears

“Why are you crying????” Tiffany said

“It’s about Taec….He’s not answering his phone and I was worried……..I want to call him and tell him……that I was wrong” I said

“Have you tried calling his home?” Tiffany said

“No…….” I said

“You should try calling maybe he’s asleep or his phone is dead” Tiffany said

“Ok………Tiff, why did you call?” I said

“Ah, I was wondering if you’re free because today is the release of the bag that we’ve been waiting for and its limited edition” Tiffany said

“I don’t know……..I’ll call you after I call Taec” I said

“Ok, Bye…...Jessie……Please don’t forget to call me” Tiffany said

“Ok…….I will……..Bye Tiff” I said and end the call

I went and reach the telephone and called Taec’s home

I got an answer and it was their maid.

“Hello….who’s this?” The maid said

“I am Jessica………Is Taec there?” I said

“Oh…..Miss Jessica…I’m sorry Sir Taecyeon is not here right now” The maid said

“May I know where he is?” I said

“He’s in the airport right now flying to Korea because his father change his flight schedule” The maid said

“What!!!!!!!!!! What time is he leaving????” I said

“2PM is his flight Miss” The maid said

“OK, thank you…” I said and end the call

I reach for my phone and called Tiffany

“Hello……Tiff” I said

“Oh Jessie……..so are you free???” Tiffany said

“Now is not the time for that……can you come here and pick me up?” I said

“Why???? What is the matter???? Did something happen????” Tiffany said

“Taec is leaving to Korea today and his flight schedule was change…” I said

“What!!!!! What time is he leaving????” Tiffany said

“2PM…” I said

“Just stay there Jessie and I’ll be on my way…..” Tiffany said

“Ok……..Bye Tiff” I said

“Bye Jessie” Tiffany said and end the call

I change my clothes and get my bag. I went downstairs and waited for Tiffany.

After 15 minutes Tiffany arrives and I quickly ride the car and Tiffany drive the car fast.

We arrive at the airport and it was 1:45 PM. We went our separate ways to look for Taec and we were running around.

I stop running until I heard what the P.A. said “Boeing 7047 passengers flying to Seoul, South Korea is ready to board”

I went to where the passengers would board the plane and I shouted “Taec!!!!!!! Taec!!!!!!”

Then a guy with a cap went towards to where I am and hug me. He then said “Jessie…….I’m sorry”

“Taec, is that you???” I said and broke the hug and he takes off his cap. I realize that it was Taecyeon

“Jessie…….I…..” Taecyeon said

“I should be the one to apologize……I’m wrong of all the things I said……I was selfish and didn’t care about your situation and I let my anger take over me.” I said

“Hush…Jessie…..I accept your apology….But now I’m leaving….take care” Taecyeon said going to the entrance to the plane

“Taec……” I said and pull his arm as I started to cry

“Jessie, don’t cry……I’ll be back soon to visit you…I love you Jessie……” Taecyeon said as he wipe my tears and hug me

“I love you too……Taec” I said and then he kissed me in front of all the people in there.

We kissed for 30 seconds and he then ask me to hold out my hand and he place a small gift and run towards to the plane while waving to me.

Then I went to the place where you can see the plane take off and I shouted “Taec!!!!!” while waving to the plane. I was crying until my phone rang. It was a call from Tiffany and I answered it immediately because of what happened earlier I forgot that she is here with me.

“Tiff….” I said

“Jessie, where were you??? I was running all over the place and didn’t see Taec. Did you see him?” Tiffany said

“I did….” I said

“Are you crying again???” Tiffany said

“I am not….” I said

“Liar…Where are you?” Tiffany said

“I’ll just meet you at the parking lot…so just wait for me” I said and went towards the parking lot. I was running towards the parking lot until I bump in into someone.

“Hey!!! Watch where you’re going???” He said

“I’m sorry…..I’m really sorry” I said and then the 3 guys that was with him call him

“Nichkhun.....let’s go” They said

“Ne…Aish!!!!!” He said

“Are they Koreans??? They are so rude” I said as they leave

I went to Tiffany’s car and she was there. I rode the car and Tiffany started driving.

“What took you so long?” Tiffany said

“I just bump into some Koreans and they are so rude” I said

“Well……ok……what happened between you and Taec???” Tiffany said

“When I heard the PA about the flight leaving to Korea…..I went to the where the passengers’ entrance to the plane and I shouted Taec’s name and a guy wearing a cap hug me. He then took off his cap and it was Taec. We talk and then I started to cry….He wipe my tears and said I love you….I said I love you too and he suddenly kissed me in front of all the people there” I said

“That was really cool and romantic…….” Tiffany said

“He then gave me this….” I said and take the gift out of my bag

“What is it???” Tiffany said

“I don’t know………I haven’t opened it yet……” I said

“Well open it……..” Tiffany said

I open the gift and it was a small box and when I open it……It was a heart pendant necklace when I open it…..it has a picture of me and Taec and there was a letter…inside it

In the letter

The dreams that we haven't shared with everyone, Because there are so many of those still left, I can't wait when that time comes, I want to share with you till a break of dawn........the story we haven't finished yet

Although we are parting now for a short while

Please believe in that day when we’ll be together again

When that day comes again, I promise to tell you………… the story we haven’t finished yet

I love you Jessie

I was crying as I read the letter because it looks like we would not see each other again. Tiffany look at me and said “I think you should go home……I’ll go to the mall by myself”

She drove me home and I was crying until I fall asleep
