Annabeth was at home alone one night when she suddenly heard something crash to the ground across the hall in Percy's bedroom. Startled, she got up to go see what had fallen. She peeked into his room and saw a book laying open on the floor next to his bed. When she saw the book, she was a bit confused. Percy didn't like reading. Why would he have a book in his room? Curious, she picked the book up off the floor and looked at the the front of the book. The words "My Diary" were written in Percy's handwriting on the front cover.

"What harm would it cause to take a little peek inside?" Annabeth thought.

She read the first sentence: "I love my girlfriend." Obviously, when Annabeth read this, she smiled.

She continued reading.

"She is the smartest girl I have ever met. She can figure out almost everything, which is why I'm surprised she hasn't figured out the fact that her mother is going to actually kill me. I don't know what to do with myself. Athena is literally going to be the death of me and I can't do anything to change her mind. She hates me. She hates that I'm dating her daughter.
