Scarlet Love

The Bul Kingdom was a place to look far and ahead, from sky to earth, from sea to land and you'll find yourself a castle full of mysteries and cold. Nothing there is forgiving just anger and pain. Nothing here is worth a twice look. Nothing.

 

If so then what is the Witch goddess doing here? Looking into the forbidden future. No one should know the future. No one should be talking about the future. No one is allowed to stray from their path. Then what is Witch goddess doing here? Practicing the forbidden rule?

 

Irene: I can see...it won't end well. I would suggest you to not to do it. It's gonna be a pain.

 

Irene spoke after looking at her shining pot of cloud which no one but her could see. This future was so cruel and unforgiving that even Witch goddess was afraid that it would destroy the entire concept of existence. Alas, she couldn't do anything. She lacked the power and experience of battle.

 

Chanyeol: Well it doesn't matter anymore. It was decided a long time ago that it won't be easy.

 

Said the lord of Fire in a monotone voice. His voice seemed so relaxed that even Witch goddess got her chills. She knew she could mess with Baekhyun and maybe escape somewhere but with the lord of Fire she knew her time as a witch goddess would pass on to another knowledgeable witch.

 

Irene: If that is what you have decided then there is nothing in my power to stop you.

 

Witch goddess said with honey voice sounding sweet as possible. To get away from here and never return unless it's matter of life or death.

 

Chanyeol: Well, thank you and if I need you again, I will call for you.

 

Chanyeol announced contentedly. Chanyeol knew he would get what he wanted even if it takes a bad turn.

 

Irene: You only call me when you need something- ahhh my heart! It's breaking.

 

Witch goddess shouted with a dejected voice. Seeming as if her long time lover was with her just for .

 

Chanyeol: So long...

 

Lord of Fire and Witch goddess said their goodbyes and parted ways. Each with different ideas in their mind. One wanting to ask for witch's aid again in near future and the other never wanting to see, hear or to even know about lord of Fire.

   Capturing the beauty of Kingdom of Beongae is same as trying to differentiate between enteral life and immortality.

 

   The Beongae Kingdom- some say "Land of never ending peace" some say- "Country of the kind" while some say- "Residence of true kings"

 

    They aren't wrong because Beongae Kingdom is that such of a place. Where even a power hungry beast becomes a sage of generosity.

Kai: Wow, Chen that was a beautiful way to describe your country.

 

Kai compliments while petting Chen's hair.

 

Chen: Well, what can I say? I am the lord of this land and I know to it's fullest.

 

Chen moves closer to the golden rock and slowly touches the rock with a gentle care with indescribable emotions in his eyes.

 

Chen: And these will be immortal like us inscribed in gold. Our memories. Forever.

 

Kai hugs Chen from the back and gently starts to nibble his ears. Chen tickles and moves away taunting Kai. Kai decides to tackle him down the field and he does. Then they roll over to the garden full of daises, roses and posies.

 

   Then Kai is on top of Chen and he looks at Chen with lovesick eyes, that could devour Chen in a moment. But Kai starts to gently Chen's hair and touch Chen's cheeks every few seconds. Then  Kai starts to kiss Chen's lips gently. As if Chen is a little lost butterfly that will die from a rougher touch.

 

   After kissing Chen for a while Kai pulls out and he starts to lift up Chen's sweater, glancing at Chen every 2 second to see if he was allowed. And to Kai's  delight Chen was just foolishly giggling at him and blushing like a mad man.

 

Kai fully takes off Chen's sweater. The sight before him was divine. Kai looked Chen from up to down. From his soft brown hair, his hypnotizing eyes to his rosy lips and to his neck which had marks of Kai teeth.

 

 

Chen moves his hand to Kai's hair and starts to fondle with his hair. In response, Kai starts to blush. Then he starts to move his mouth near Chen's neck and starts to bite him there. He marks Chen's neck to the fullest.

 

Then Chen moving on from Kai's head, he slides his hands down. Sliding hands from Kai's muscular builded body to near Kai's private area.

 

Hidden from all the trees, tall grasses and what seemed to be million amount of flowers that covered them they had no fear of anybody being there.

 

As Chen started to touch Kai's private area and kiss Kai's  lips. A harsh wind hit their faces. Then flowers started to rustle and shuffle. The trees were somehow it seemed as if embarrassed. The place suddenly seemed uneasy. And Kai handed Chen his sweater.

 

???: Sorry guys but I can't let you do this in my garden. I wasn't watching I swear I just arrived here!

 

Chen's eyes shifted to the voice and there he saw his friend, Lu Han. He looked embarrassed and seemed to be covering his face with his hands.

 

Chen: Luhan? What are you doing here?

 

Luhan: Chen, this is my place. This is my garden.

 

Luhan says with proudness in his voice. Chen and Kai can feel that. His compassion for the things around him. His compassion for nature and all the other things that live in his forest.

 

Chen: Yes, Luhan I know that but- you arrived at the wrong time.

 

Chen says acting like he is disappointed.

 

Kai: Luhan, we are sorry. We initially came here to write about Beongae Kingdom on the golden rock.

 

To that Luhan simply just smiles and looks around the place. As if he doesn't know this place. The place that he made with carefulness at each step.

 

Luhan: No worries. Well Suho is about to come and help me water these plants then we both will check it out.

 

Kai and Chen says their bye to Luhan and head on uphill to the golden rock. This forest is full of wonders. Flowers that can fly, trees that have emotions and creatures who reside in them.

 

Kai: This place is so beautiful.

 

Chen looks up at Kai and slightly smiles. Then he picks up a daisy and puts it in the Kai's hair.

 

Chen: Couldn't have done it without you, love.

Baekhyun: Someday you'll rule over this. You see the sun? As far as that light reaches that will be part

your kingdom. And you, you Do will rule over this all.

 

Baekhyun says while looking at the dying sun (sunset). Do is confused on that. He and Baekhyun are good friends but why make him the king?

 

Do: Why me Baek? There is somebody experienced as Xuimin, great leader as Taeyeon, and someone strong as Lay. So why me?

 

Do looked at the ground after what he said because he didn't wanted to become a king because of his friend. He wanted to become a king out of his own achievements and qualities.

 

Baekhyun: Well, Do you see the world is not simple as you may think. You are correct about what you said. Xuimin is a great experienced fighter, Lay is a indeed a good leader and Kris is obviously strong. But I'll tell you this as my right hand man and my best friend.

 

Baekhyun says with a edge on his voice, unsure if he should be telling Do about this.

 

Baekhyun: You know what? You'll know in the future. But all I know is, you'll be the next king.

 

Baekhyun says with a tease on his voice.

 

Do: Baekhyun! After you start a conversation at least finish!

 

Do shouts at Baekhyun, who is currently slipping away from the mountain range.

 

Baekhyun sprints across the houses of civilians, who are at shock to see their king running and shouting. Sprinting across the village, he runs into the river of goldfish where he and Lay left them, now which they've multiplied to thousands.

 

Baekhyun then slows his pace reaching the city. He walks to the alleyway and switching his jacket for a  cloak to protect himself from people discovering him. He did have his mask but everybody knew he had his mask.

 

Baekhyun starts to take a stroll around his city. And he can't help but smile at his kingdom's civilians. They are happy and satisfied with their life and that's what he wanted. A big happy family.

Servant: My lord! There is a letter form the Beongae Kingdom.

 

Shouted servant trying to gain the attention of the king who was lost in his thought.

 

Chanyeol: Read it...

 

Chanyeol said indifferently. Trying to sound as if he wasn't waiting for a letter from his dear "friend Chen" to see if he was okay, how was he doing, what was he eating and how's he taking care of his kingdom.

 

Servant: "My dear friend Yeol,

 

Servant started. And Chanyeol greeted Chen from his mind

 

I know it would surprise you greatly!

 

Chanyeol now thought what could surprise him? 'Must be great' spoke fire lord's mind.

 

I am finally getting married to my fiancé Kai.

 

...

 

I know! I know! You must be jumping right now. I can feel your excitement haha. I can't wait to see you guys at the wedding!

 

...

 

 

We will also have a biggggg party so please come!

 

...

 

Not as a duty of course but as my dear bestie. Byeeee"  Well sir you must be beyond excitement!

 

Servant said assuming that his king must be jumping up and down inside, since Servant has seen the king being unconsciously happy around the lord of lightning.

 

Chanyeol: Yea....

 

Fire lord finished. Silenced by what he heard and thinking it could be one of Mark's trick... must be not... he concluded.

 

Chanyeol: Servant leave.

 

Fire lord said in his unconcerned voice. Faking his tone, sounding as if he was all right with this marriage .

 

Servant: Yes sire!

 

Servant left happily. Ready to announce the great

news to all the soldiers, workers, and to the citizens of the Great Bul Kingdom.

Baekhyun reaches in front of the castle door. As Baekhyun steps inside everybody pause on their work to bow down to him. Baekhyun nods at them and leaves for his favorite room. As Baekhyun passes by the hallway to his throne, the guards open the door for him and to his surprise there he sees Lay,  his best buddy with a letter on his hands.

 

Baekhyun: Lay? What's that letter? Where did it come from?

 

Baekhyun asks Lay. And after getting a closer look at the letter it's from Beongae Kingdom.

 

Lay: Baek, this is from Chen and seems like our buddy Chen is finally getting married down after years and years of relationship with Kai.

 

Lay says with such joyous voice to which Baekhyun is jealous of  because he doesn't feel the same. He knows what he's feeling. Who else would know other than himself?

 

Baekhyun: Wow that's great! When is the wedding?

 

Baekhyun says adding sugar and honey to each words trying to make it sweet as possible.

 

Lay: It says... after 2 months! Can't wait!!!

 

Lay is undoubtedly happy for his friend and he doesn't try to hide it. His foolish smiling face says everything. But Baekhyun isn't convinced that only a friend's wedding can cause him this much happiness. There must be another reason. And he had to know.

 

Baekhyun lost in his thought. Thinking about the wedding and Lay's  reason for happiness made him venerable to his surroundings. He failed to notice when Lay said his good bye or when Do came in panting to talk to him about Chen's wedding. But whatever it was he had to go to Beongae.

 

He had to.

Do: Feels as if it was a yesterday when he sent those letters telling us he was a getting married to Kai.

 

Do says with happy expression on his face directing towards an over excited Mark.

 

Mark: I know! I know! I am so happy for them! It feels surreal to be here!

 

Mark said in excitement which sounded gibberish to Do. Mark then touches the palace of purple jewels and admires it. Looking at them as if it's reminding him of something closer to his heart. After which Mark leaves Do to talk with Taeil and Joy.

 

Then Luhan and Suho arrives to the wedding destination. Suho gives them a little wave and a bye to Luhan and heads over to Lay, Wendy and Seulgi.

 

Do: Hey! Luhan long time no see. How's Suho and you coming along?

 

Do making Luhan blush wasn't the scene you see everyday, since he is always in garden taking care of his precious nature babies.

 

Luhan: Do! Stop it!

 

Haechan: Awwww man you guys are so cute! Just get married already! Look even Chen and Kai is getting married.

 

Haechan says as if Luhan just made a grave mistake. To which that response Luhan smiles and gives a look to Do. Then they both in sync repeat.

 

Do and Luhan: What about you and Mark? What about you and Mark~~~~

 

6 minutes of embarrassment for Haechan were jokes for the other 2. It was rare to see  Haechan begging them to stop. Then a idea came to Haechan's  genius mind which will surely shut them off.

 

Haechan: Okay! I will confess to him after the marriage.

 

Haechan said it so easily that it made Luhan jealous because he didn't have the same confidence as Haechan. Even though he and Suho are something it's not official since neither of them have made a move.

 

Baekhyun: Looks like my favorite people are here!

 

Silence.

 

The hall that was filled with people laughing and joking went to a complete silence. The silence was deafening. No word were said, no word we're heard, no words were in their heads expect one... since when was HE here?

 

Heechul: I didn't see you coming.

 

There are few people who aren't scared of Baekhyun and he seems to be one of them. Since he had to the courage to say greetings to Baekhyun when his friends hasn't.

 

Baekhyun: Well was waiting for some action to happen.

 

Baekhyun says with a smile. That was a warning which Heechul took.

 

Do: Let me guess you arrived here earlier then me?

 

Do says with uncertainty he has been here since the sun decided to rise and shine them with its grace providing them light and the day.

 

Baekhyun: Yes... I been here for a lo-

 

Ten: Ahhhhhh!!!!!

 

Baekhyun couldn't finish his sentence. It was cut short by a horrifying scream... As if someone just showed them their families members detached head. But he knew who it was.

 

Baekhyun: Hello Chanyeol! My friend I missed you.

 

Baekhyun isn't surprised that he is here with that look. His hair shriveled, face without any emotions and blood as a makeup. His crown tilted but his clothes perfectly fine. What was he doing? Baekhyun wanted to know...

 

Chanyeol: Hi Baekhyun....it has been indeed too long.

 

Chanyeol seemed bored to talk with Baekhyun. Then he turned his attention to a water fountain in the center of the hall. He walks there slowly but steadily. With all the eyes not leaving him for a second...all of their breaths stuck in one place. They watched him like he was a innocent deer going to take a sip from a river full of crocodiles. Then he dipped his head to the water and it didn't take long for pearl water to turn ruby.

 

In all that silence and awkwardness. A maiden appeared out of thin air which everyone recognized as Taeyeon. She could take the role of beauty goddess any day, she looked surreal. Taeyeon wore a lilac dress that fitted her too perfectly. She then gracefully spread her wings taking attention of everybody in that room. Mesmerizing them how can somebody be this graceful and beautiful? She then opened her lips to say what she was here for.

 

Taeyeon: Here we welcome our star of the night! Chen and Kai! Please everybody welcome them with your claps do not hesitate to show your love!

 

Then the room which was excited at first then silenced to mesmerized turned into a room of loud roar of cheers. They screamed and clapped loudly as they could to show their love to the grooms.

 

Chen: Hey guys! Thank you for coming!

The crowd was loud. Even the quiets among gods were not shy to show their excitement for the wedding. They all were smiling and cheering. It's one of the best wedding anybody could ever ask for. No...it is the best wedding, how can you compete with this? Unless they remarry there is no possible way that it could reach this level of perfection.

 

Chen: Thank you guys! Thank you all for coming!

 

Chen says with the happiest voice he has ever talked with while showing his sweetest smile he has ever shown. He was over the moon today. How could he not? He was marrying the man of his dreams. The one who had captivated his heart and manipulated his soul. The one who was the lock to his key. He was marrying to him.

 

Chen and Kai walks with grace to stage where they will seal their love with a kiss. Then bond into a marriage. After that they wouldn't be alone- from one body to two. From one decision to two. They would become a single body with two set of minds.

 

Each country has their own traditions and set of rules to follow during marriage. Beongae's was to make it elaborate, cheerful, and spontaneous.

 

Flowers and glitters showering Chen and Kai at their each step. They were welcomed by sweet comments and stacks of gifts towards their feet.

 

Then the crowd went quiet because they reached the stadium the place where they would become one in two. They wanted to see it happen with their eyes and focused on the marriage.

 

Kai: Honey...I am so much in shocked that we ar-

 

Tarmim: AHHHHHHHHH!!!!

 

Before Kai could finish his sentence a thunderous scream is heard. They all swiftly look around to see where the scream is coming from when they notice fire. The room that was delighted turns into a room of dread. The fire was surrounding them from outside. The fire was big and wide... it must've going for a long time.

 

Ten: RUN!

 

The room turned into a chaos. Citizens running away into a confusion of where to head to escape. Many ran towards the door to outside to find dismay. The door had been locked. The citizens only hope were the gods now. They all cried and shouted for gods to take a action.

 

Taeyeon: Quiet!

 

Taeyeon said one word to which the crowd silenced down. Not because of fear because they knew they would be saved.

 

All in this chaos Chen and Kai were left speechless. It was supposed to be their dream day which turned into a nightmare. Their citizens wailing and running. While their friends confused. But, they knew as a guardian they must save citizens first.

 

Chen: Taeyeon and Sehun fly them out of here at any cost! Please... you must save them!

 

Chen pleaded to his friends which they followed. Sehun using his powers to fly the citizens out of danger with Taeyeon as his assistant.

 

Kai: Kun, try to see if you can control the fire and Suho use your powers to lower the fire down.

 

Suho starts quickly into making clouds of rain to seize the fire. The fire is big it will take sometime for him to turn it down. Kun tries to control the fire but he fails to do it. The fire is unusually different.

 

Sunny: Lay and Luhan come with me. We must find who is doing this. They must be here somewhere hiding outside or inside.

 

Lay stops his work and follows Sunny and Luhan to outside. To locate the conspirators. He must find whoever ruined his friends day.

 

Chen: I am getting worried Kai. There's citizens everywhere and we can't risk wasting to much time.

 

Kai: Chen... I will find whoever is doing this. I am going with Sunny and others.

 

Chen doesn't want to let go of Kai but Chen knows Kai is capable and he also has his trustworthy friends there. So he knew Kai would be alright. Chen kisses Kai on his head and says his byes to Kai and his friends.

 

Irene: Chen, It's not safe here. You must get out.

 

With that Irene takes Chen's  hand and disappears into the thin air.

Chen opens his eyes to see that his Kingdom had been completely burned down. The only thing that was standing was his tall castle. The garden, towns, forest, and even his wedding place was in fire. He couldn't stop the flow of his tears it was supposed to be his happy day. How did it turn out like this.

 

Irene: Chanyeol did this.

 

With that one sentence Chen's head completely shut down. Why would Chanyeol do this? They been friends since childhood.

 

Chen: No! It can't. Yeol!?

 

Chen's eyes started flowing with more tears. He couldn't think of anything. He had no words. How he wishes this was just a dream.

 

Irene: I know Chen. I know it's hard for you... but I know this first handed. I helped Chanyeol..

 

Irene confessed to her crimes. She knew she would be dead but she couldn't let this go any longer. She knows towns and people have been destroyed but there is still something left. This could still be saved.

 

Chen's head went blank. He didn't knew who to trust anymore. His childhood friend Chanyeol attacked his kingdom. His ally Irene helped him. And his heart is refusing to believe all of this.

 

Chen: I have to go back.

 

Irene: You can't Chanyeol is doing all this because he wants your power. Chen your power...if that happens nothing will remain. We don't know what Chanyeol would use your power for.

 

Chen: Irene, I know you're worried about me but understand this, my citizens are trapped there, my friends are helping them knowing they might die and my love is there. Even after all that I can't let my friend do this, if he wants my power then so be it because this power cannot be taken...

 

Irene: What do you mean by it cannot be taken away?

 

Chen: Irene you see-

 

Irene: CHEN!

 

Irene pushed Chen out of a arrow that was meant for his head, luckily Chen escaped from that. Irene wasn't lucky enough she got hit in her shoulder. It pained her. She was screaming and wailing when she saw more arrows coming towards them.

 

Irene: Run. Please don't worry I'll survive this. Of course your friends will too. Just run! If-

 

It was taking all of Irene's energy to motivate Chen to get out of here.

 

Chen: I can't leave you here. You took this arrow for me-

 

Irene: Chen if you don't run now... this- this sacrifice I- I- mad-made will be- was..ted and.. all- you-r friends sacrifice too..

 

With that Irene casted a spell that teleport him away. So far away that even she didn't know where it was.
