in the harsh idol world, every day there are trainees and idols that struggle to keep their heads above the water. unnoticed debuts, disbandments that came way too early, and especially, the horrible manipulation and mistreatment that is way too common in this industry.

one small band that knows this experience very well, is L/deci. a band that got scammed by their company, and despite trying, they never succeeded... as a band. taking matters in their own hands, they started producing hit by hit for big groups, and their leader, neoguri, would go on to become a famous model and actor. but their name as l/deci never spread. Until members neoguri and moonjae joined produce x 101 as a last chance as idols. on that hellhole of a survival show, the two realised that their case is way more common than they expected, and an idea started brooding in neoguri's head.

2 months after the show ended, news spread that l/deci had established their very own company, named neo unity. Neo, for neoguri and meaning 'new', and unity, because they wanted to create a little family.

the first debut project was dubbed 'project la relance'. neo unity was extremely secretive about said project, but what was known is that they were gathering trainees and training them up for a debut. as the months passed, more and more rumours started to spread about how former idols had been spotted at the tiny neo unity building, from unknown idols that wouldn't even be recognized on the streets, to former members of big groups that met their unfortunate demise early. random anonymous dance covers started to pop up on their social media, more and more people were getting involved. it was getting the netizens hyped up for what was to come.

and at the birth of the year 2022, after delay upon delay because of the pandemic, project la relance was finally revealed to the world. some people thought it would never come, but l/deci and the trainees pushed through.

project la relance wasn't only one, but two groups. two 6-membered twin groups. the men of capucine, and the women of primevère. the stagenames were revealed first, but they were real head scratchers. where did all those former idols go? did they really all get replaced? No, it was all just a ploy to fool netizens. when the faces of the 12 members were revealed, a wave of shock went through south korea. they were all former idols, mistreated, unknown or just wanting to do new things. all people that deserved a second, third, maybe even a fourth chance at making a splash in the kpop industry.

la relance was an umbrella group consisting of capucine and primevère, made specifically to give those hungry lost idols a new chance at debut. they would promote as groups separately, but occasionally come together to release a big, nct yearbook-like album.

throughout the years from neo unity's curation all the way to the debut of capucine, neoguri and his band had been giving out love calls to countless amounts of idols. many declined the offer, but he managed to gather 12 powerful stars, trained and polished up to perfection. capucine and primevère were shiny, absolutely perfect idols, but they know better than anyone else that even perfection can't guarantee fame. la relance is a shot in the dark, but the members are ready to fight for their rightful spot in the industry.

hello :D itsa me with the promised new project, if you have missed what has happened, please check out my blog post about sunlight and neo unity. ive been itching to start working on neo unity for so long now but the other stories held me back. if you guys didn't notice, this is a rework of a shelved fic named herätys. an exciting concept that got shelved cause i was too focused on the outdated mess that is sunlight lol... i hope that you guys will enjoy this fic, because i feel like amazing things can be created with this concept... neo unity will add more groups to their empire in the future, but i will take this one group at a time, im not as stupid as i used to be lol. if you want more stories to check out, i also have nu-gic, hynix and pr101 open for applications at the moment!
