Part Five

"What the hell just happened..." Sehun breaths out, staring in disbelief at the place where the black cloak man once stood with Junhee moments ago. Before they suddenly turned into black cloud of smoke, flying out the library and into the night. "What the just happened" he turns to the others. He, Jongin, Jongdae and Chanyeol are very visibly tired from the fight. They are all drained from using too much energy. 

"Was that Junhee earlier?" Jongin wandered out, he too looks like he couldn't believed what he saw. 

"Yeah..." It was Chanyeol who replied, looking more coherent and calm than the rest. "She ran back to him"

Jongdae frowns, eyeing the same place where Sehun was staring earlier. "Why'd she go back...What....Why--It doesn't make sense" All of them stared at each other, wondering and questioning all that had happened in the span of minutes. The moon is still up and it is still in the middle of the night. The others; students who had woken up and joined all confusedly looked at each other. Some are hurt, injured, broke a few bones and exhausted.  

Half part of the library was caught on fire and had been put off. The teachers gathered the students to help fix and make the place a bit more tiny. Some are grumbling but some are willing to help. The fight wasn't light, it was heavy and with only that one cloak man he had made the situation so serious. There were a lot of damages and wounded people. People are wondering about the mysterious black cloak man and most of them are scared.

Chanyeol, Jongin, Sehun, Jongdae and Kyungsoo are the ones who took care of the wounded. The boys helped bringing them to the infirmary. The infirmary for the first time in a long time had to open the place this early morning with a lot of injured people coming in. The boys also have their own injuries to treat as well. Chanyeol with a dislocated shoulder, Jongdae with a sprained finger, Jongin got burns on the skin of his arm while Sehun has a open slash on his arms and leg. Out of the five of them, Kyungsoo look better than the rest and all of them are covered in smoke, their faces and clothes dirty from the aftermath of the cloak man's power. 

"I can't believe all that fight we did and Junhee went running back to him" Sehun starts as he stares at his bandaged arm. He sounded mad and in disbelief. "All of that for nothing. All of those search for her was for nothing" 

"Maybe she was mind controlled or something. That cloak man was powerful. Did you see his powers? He fought with 10 of us and he is still alive" Jongin exclaimed in both awe and shock. "He could be the one who forced her to come to him, treatened her or something" he gave his opinion as he helps Chanyeol with his shoulder. It was dislocated but Jongin helped put it back onto its joint. The former is grimacing in pain but at least his shoulder is back to normal. 

"She wasn't" 

The four men turns to look at Kyungsoo. 

"She wasn't controlled" Kyungsoo continues, looking tired but has the same emotion as Sehun. However, he is also deeply confuse. "Junhee wanted to go back to him. Willingly" He said and his mind brought him back to where Junhee was apologizing to him and turned back around to the fight. To run back to him. Her expression looked guilty and sad. "She said she wants to help him" Kyungsoo shakes his head, running his hand through his messy hair as he glares at the floor. 

"Help? Why the she wants to help him?" Sehun remarks, outraged. "What the does that er wants help anyway?"

No one could answer his question

"He's a killer! He's the one our town's feared for all these years. He came from that forest. Our town's people disappeared because of him!"

"What do you think he did to them?" Jongin questioned, sounded so innocent that Sehun faceplamed himself. "What do you think he'd done, Jongin? Of course he killed them!" 

"Calm down, Sehun" Jongdae tries to pacify the guy. His fingers got sprained. He has a splint around his fingers. Jongdae look borderline like Chanyeol, Jongin and Sehun. But he also feels sad. He remembers how Junhee ran up to the cloak man. She looked so worried and went to hug the man so naturally like they've known each other for a long time. Jongdae shuts his eyes, shakes his head a little to get rid of that view out of his mind. He gulps anxiously when he feels how his stomach dropped and his chest feels uncomfortable. 

On the other hand, Kyungsoo remains quiet at the side. He was on and off listening to the conversation. His mind is elsewhere, particularly towards a certain girl he had known for years. Who is annoying but bright and gentle. The man wonders why Junhee would help him.The man kidnapped her, she was gone for days and when he saw her again, she was gone again with him. 

It made him scoff in his mind

But unlike Sehun, Kyungsoo is not as angry. He is mostly curious, confuse and worried.  

He sighs as he moves towards the door, leaning against the doorframe as he looks up at the moon. The sky is still fairly dark but he knows the sun will rise in a few hours. He stares without a word or thought before Junhee comes back into his mind. He purses his lips. He had calmed down now, however, the worry he is feeling had amplified.

"Don't do anything stupid, Junnie-ah but who am I kidding. You've done it already" He said quietly to the moon, as if he is talking to his friend. He sighs again, "Just...Please...I hope you know what you're doing"

Junhee

Hyun brought me back to the forest 

He was tired and injured but he still prioritized me. He carried me to the house even when I said I didn't need to be carried but he insisted. He placed me gently on the couch when he are back at the house before he went to get things to treat me. He then sat back down next to me on the couch.

I frown confusedly at him. "You're more injured than me" I said as I grab hold of his wrist. He is holding a damp cloth, where he had soaked it in the water he brought from the kitchen and squeezed out the excess. He raised the cloth up to my face before I stopped him. I glanced at his blood dripped down his forehead. "You're bleeding, Hyun"

"You're bleeding too" He said and I stare confusedly at him. He sighs through his nose before he takes my hand away from his. He daps the cloth onto the side of my temple.

I didn't realize I have a wound there until I feel the sting from the cloth as he is cleaning it. Maybe I got it from the constant push and fall. I wondered to myself as Hyun continue to dap my face with the cloth. He isn't only cleaning the wound but also cleaning the black smoke on my face. I feel dumbfounded and stunned at his action. He's being gentle. My heart since the moment he decided to carry me haven't stop beating so fast. Regardless, his action made me feel warmth, ironically from a cold person like Hyun. 

Eventually after a while I take the cloth away from him. He looks confuse at me but I give him a smile. "It's my turn to clean your wounds" He shakes his head but I insisted. "Let me" I move on my own, cleaned the cloth before I go back to him. "Take off your cloak" I said to him as I undid mine. I place my cloak to the side. It was dirty and some parts had a tear on them. On the other hand, his cloak look worse than mine. Some parts got big tears and some got burned with holes. 

At my words, he gives me a very innocent and dumbfounded look I had ever seen him. I tilt my head, smiling in amusement. "Do I have to take off the cloak for you then?" I told him and proceed to touch the front of his cloak to open it but his hands immediately raise up to stop me. 

"I-I.." he clears his throat. "I'll do it" He said and takes off the black cloak. Once he is out of the cloak, I can't help but to stare at his figure. I had seen him without the cloak before but most times he always wore it, making him look bigger and scary. But right now, he looks like any other men out there. More vulnerable without the safety of the cloak. "You don't have to do this--"

"I want to" I cut him off, giving a determined look at him. "Let me help you" 

"Why?" He questions softly

I smile, "Because I want to" 

He keeps quiet then and I take it as permission granted to clean his wounds. I start with the most visible ones, the ones on his face. I pushed his hair back, letting me see his whole face clearly to see the wounds he has on his forehead and at his hairline. I noticed before that he got mostly attack to the face. People aimed at his head and face rather than the big thick cloak he wore. When I had brushed his messy fringes away from his forehead, I hum silently in awe because he looks so handsome this way. 

"You should wear your hair back more often" 

He gives me a look, "Why?" 

"You look more handsome this way" I told him casually even though my heart is racing like it's gonna burst out of my chest. At my words he immediately stiffened. He is stunned. I don't let his reaction distract me as I continue to do what I've started. Cleaning off the blood is actually a good distraction for me from seeing the look he is giving me. 

"You think...I'm handsome?" 

I clear my own throat, feeling so nervous at this conversation. "Yes" 

He closes his eyes, a hint of a smile start to pull up his lips. "Are you being honest or just playing with me right now" 

"I'm serious, why would I lie? You are handsome" 

And then there's a whole long eye contact between the two of us. I feel myself getting warmer and my insides are shaking. He then smiles and I think something inside me just exploded because he looks even more handsome with his smile. "Thank you" 

I blink rapidly before I nod hesitantly, giving a smile back that looks like a weird grimace. "Y-You're most welcome" I clear my throat again before going back to care for his wounds. 

"I had never been told that" He said and I'm shocked he continue making conversation with me. Though, I am not complaining. 

"Told you what?" 

"That I'm handsome" 

I give him a look

He smiles again, "I'm serious. No one has ever told me before you did"

"I doubt that. You must've heard it from someone before. Your mother must had at least told you that, right" I said and was trying to be lighthearted about it but it ended up pulling a sad reaction from him. He shakes his head. "She never said that?" I don't know why my mouth kept on talking about this. He shakes his head again. I purse my lips, "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to--"

"It's fine" he closes his eyes before he opens them back. "People don't find me attractive enough. Compared to other men" 

"Those people must be blind then" I told him, still supporting my claim that he is handsome. I'm being way to honest about this but I couldn't stop. It felt right to be honest with him. And I am right. He smiles again, wider this time.  

"You're complimenting me so much, what do you want huh?" He teases and again, he shocked me because Hyun is teasing me! 

I shrug my shoulder, "I'm just saying...I'm being honest" 

He lets out a chuckle and it sounds like the bells whenever I entered a bakery shop. Those pleasant and nice comforting sound with my inner child excitedly wanting to get my favourite strawberry puffs. My insides went stunned, staring at him in blank. He laughs at my expression and takes the cloth right out of my hand. 

"You look weird" he commented, though, he has a smirk up his face as he went to clean the cloth and changed the water again from the bowl he brought earlier. "You can go up to rest now" he said as he walks towards the kitchen. I turn towards him on the couch. 

"I haven't finish cleaning your wounds yet" I told him, feeling confused why he stopped me. 

He came back out a few seconds later with the bowl. He shakes his head, "You don't have to. I'll finish the rest. You can go to sleep" 

I open my mouth but close back up

He gives me a smile again that surprise me again before he said he will be in his room. I blink, staring at his figure slowly walking away until I hear the clicked of his room door closed. 

I sigh, look around the area before I go grab my cloak. Seeing the cloak, brought me back to the fight and the people who was there.

I feel guilty that I left them

I left Kyungsoo, I left my friends and went back to Hyun. They must be mad at me, I thought as I walk slowly towards my room. I don't know what made me chose the decision I made but it felt right. 

My feet move, walking towards my room and was going to pass Hyun's room when I heard him wincing and grunting inside. Feeling worried, I try to remember if he has big wounds on his body. His shirt was black and if there was a tear or anything, I might've not notice it back then because the blood on his face pulled my attention. Pursing my lips, I move towards his door and without knocking, I op
