Baekhyun stepped out of the washroom, changed into his plain white shirt and loose pajamas to get ready to sleep while walking towards the window to close it. As he stood by it, the slight breeze of cold hit right through his face, where he could feel the smell of soil as it was raining just a while earlier. 

And it brought a smile on his lips before stepping back to slide the window close as he stood by the dressing table to do his night routine. 

On the other hand, Gayoung walked out the kids room after checking up on them as they were fast asleep after watching a movie before letting out a deep breath of her uneasiness which just bubbled in her heart just a moment ago and somehow she couldn't shift it away from her heart. 

Standing by the door frame of the backyard, she took a deep breath to inhale the fresh air of the smell of the soil only to let out a dejected sigh as it didn't work to ease her enough where her palm went to her chest to feel her rapid heart beat loudly against her hand which she slowly rubbed but got nothing. 

Biting her lip, she closed the door to walk to her room as entering inside, she found Baekhyun standing by the dressing table where the movement of hers had him look toward her direction to meet her eyes which somehow looked drained. 

And the next second, he watched her coming to him as she stood right beside him with a lost look and before Baekhyun could ask her, she had already presented her wrist toward him. 

"Baekhyun-sii, could you please check If I'm okay?" 

Gayoung wasn't someone to take privilege of being a doctor's wife but right now, she was doing exactly like that and with all her rights. 

He stared at her with a confused yet worried look but still complied as he faced her to check her as he held her wrist but his head tilted with a little bending to her level the moment he felt her heartbeat in a rapid manner with a worried face. 

"Am I not okay?" Her eyes widened, with a panic almost taking over her where Baekhyun didn't say anything but placed the back of his hand on her forehead as a frown plastered on his face afterwards. "You don't have a fever and your hands are slightly cold, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" 

She shook her head, after being bombarded with doctor questions as she sighed. "No, it's just I'm feeling strange like something's wrong and it's strange that I can't even pinpoint it, I mean kids are sleeping and you're here too and I don't feel sick." 

Baekhyun heard her attentively as he nodded slowly. "Maybe you're just tired? But just to be assured, you can call your parents then maybe you would feel better." 

She nodded, staring at him innocently before walking towards the bed to grab her phone where Baekhyun stood there, looking at her doing her thing as he waited for her to feel better but his phone pinned with a message notification to which he walked to the nightstand to grab it only to get freeze after reading the message which was from Yixing. 

"Gayoung-sii." He immediately uttered out, and Gayoung was about to dial Sung-min's number to talk to him but instantly looked at Baekhyun with a confused look where he stared at her with a serious yet worried look. "It's Dodo." 

Gayoung's heart stopped for a moment, and she didn't have to ask what it was about because the next second, she was already walking out of the room with a panic yet scared feeling while Baekhyun was fast to grab his hoodie from the chair to follow her outside. 

"Uh, but the kids…" She mumbled, stopping in the living room as she glanced at Baekhyun who could see how scared and worried she looked, where she began to search for her car keys in her jeans pocket. "I can drive there but we… We can't leave kids alone so I can go alone-" 

"Okay, quiet." He uttered, taking a hold of her wrist with a gentle tug making her look at him as his eyes softened. "I will ask Mrs. Tae to come and we will go together, okay?" 

He could see that she was trying to be strong right now as she always appear out to be and he respected yet understood it but right now, she wasn't at the state to go alone nor he would let that happen. 

Gayoung stared at him before nodding. "Okay." 

And without leaving her wrist, he led her outside alongside him while calling Mrs. Tae who was quick to pick up the call to understand the matter behind and she was quick to agree without any complaints yet again which Baekhyun was thankful but this time Gayoung was too. 

And they were already on their way to the hospital, Baekhyun driving the car while Gayoung was beside him, looking ahead desperately to get to the destination with several worries in her mind which she wanted to let out by talking but couldn't bring herself to do it. 

"Uh, the kids will be alright, right?" She asked, not trying to ramble as she looked at Baekhyun with an almost freaking out look. "I'm not saying that Mrs. Tae wouldn't take care of them but I have never left Seojun alone so I'm just asking-" 

"Gayoung-sii." Baekhyun uttered out softly, making her silent as the next second she felt his warm hand over her shaking one, where he looked at her with his gentle yet ensuring gaze. "It's going to be okay." 

And it was his way of telling her that she isn't alone, with the hidden words of 'I'm here'. 

Gayoung felt a sense of comfort yet warmth crawling in her heart which somehow made her calm as she nodded slowly before her gaze fell on their hands, and that's when she came to a new realization. 

All this while, she had always been able to take care of herself, whenever a situation occurred she had always helped herself up to handle it because that's how she had pushed herself up in any kind of situation to face it when her family wasn't with her that she was alone so she had to do it alone. 

And right at this moment, when she felt she had to do it alone yet again, his warm hand had made her realize that she wasn't, that just a warm hand of his had calmed her panicking heart, to bring comfort through it. 

Soon enough, they reached the hospital as they were already walking down the hallway to the room where Yixing had texted Baekhyun as arriving there, Yixing was walking out of the room with Woo-Jin as they were reading Sung-min's report. 

"How's he?" Gayoung questioned, as soon as they were standing in front of them as she peered between Yixing and Woo-Jin with a worried yet scared look and Woo-Jin gave her a relieved look. "He's fine now." 

Baekhyun was already standing beside them peering through the report with a focused look where Yixing gave Gayoung a light smile. "He was brought here in time as he was having a slight chest pain but he's okay now." 

Gayoung immediately turned to Baekhyun to be assured, who nodded giving her the look she was looking for and a sigh of relief left her lips while her fingers brushing through her hair as she almost lose her balance but Woo-Jin had held her hand while Baekhyun palmed her back. 

"I'm okay." She assured them as she stood straight before immediately barging in the room to find Sung-min sitting on the bed with Min-Jae and her father either side of him while her mother was sitting by the couch of the room. 

"Who called you?" Sung-min questioned, his eyes widening where he found Baekhyun, along with Yixing and Woo-Jin coming behind her and he gave a look to Yixing. "I told you not to call them, you gentleman just didn't listen to me!" 

"Why would he listen to someone who doesn't even take care of themselves?" 

Gayoung was quick to argue, as her hands stopped either side of her waist with her sharp eyes at him while everyone just watched them with a usual look except Baekhyun and Yixing who were thinking if they would break into an argument or something but it was opposite of it. 

The next minute, Gayoung was sitting at the edge of the bed with her arms wounded around Sung-min as no matter how much she was trying to appear strong at this moment, but seeing her Dodo fine, she was relieved and happy because that's how much she loves her Dodo. 

"I'm okay, Bear." He cooed, caressing her back as Gayoung pulled away with her slight teary eyes. "Do you know how scared and worried I was? And you were fine all this while then what happened suddenly?" 

"I was just missing you." 

"It's not like I would have cut your calls like granny!" 

"She doesn't even cut it but ignores it now!" 

"Don't tell me you were actually worried about it? We're not marrying you off there nor granny is going to be happy about it either." She joked, a lame one but still broke her Dodo into a light laugh where her family was just shaking their heads but someone was just smiling, not on her lame joke but the warm sight in front of him. 

Or it was her who had made him. 

"Mr. Lee called her Bear," Yixing spoke beside Baekhyun as the latter gave him a confused look where Yixing frowned. "It's not that Beer, Beer, right?" 

"Shut up." 

"Oh, Baekhyun-ah!" 

Young-MI was quick to smile at him, followed by Min-Jae and Jung-Min as they welcomed him like they always do, and how Baekhyun always feels warm through their welcoming heart towards him. 

The room got filled with their chattering with Baekhyun getting comfortable with them to have a fun chat with Young-MI and Jung-Min who were just treating him like their own son with Min-Jae and Woo-Jin whom he was already comfortable with to talk about whatever seemed to suit the moment. 

Yixing smiled at the sight, seeing his best friend having another warm family around him, something he deserves to have where he was also called to join them in which he did while asking them not to be loud as it's a hospital but still being the loud one. 

Gayoung's eyes wandered around in the room only to stop at Baekhyun to find him being getting along with her family felt something better but a pout formed on her lips as she turned to Sung-min. "Dodo, I'm always going to be your favorite." 

"What?" He looked at her confused as it came out of nowhere and Gayoung blinked at him innocently. "You know, you're my favorite and I am your favorite so let's be each other's favorites and no changes, okay?" 

And here she was, a twenty nine years old woman, but still being a little granddaughter to her Dodo as Sung-min smiled, quick to notice what was it about. "So, Baekhyun can't be my favorite?" 

"He can be." She said, almost immediately before bringing her thumb and forefinger close with a squint of her eyes. "Just a little less than me." 

"I'm sure about me." He stated, before looking at her seriously with his forehead ceasing. "But are you sure about yourself?"

Gayoung stared at him confused, and before she could grasp it, Woo-Jin was quick to ask them to go home as they were being loud, where the senior doctors just looked at each other with a realization of how they weren't being a really good senior right now. 

Bidding goodnight to them, Gayoung and Baekhyun were walking to their car as Sung-min would stay a night here with Woo-Jin with him where her family left home with Yixing doing the same. 

As Baekhyun had started driving, Gayoung was looking outside where she looked at him with a hesitant look. "Um, if you don't mind, can we have some coffee?" 

Baekhyun turned to her with a confused look. "Right now?" 

"Yeah," She gave a nod before checking the time on her phone. "But it's probably late so we won't get any, let's just go home." 

Baekhyun just smiled, not saying anything as he continued driving until the car was pulled outside a Café, as Gayoung stared at the place with a confused look to which she looked back at Baekhyun with where Baekhyun pointed at the Café. "You said you wanted to have some coffee." 

And Gayoung couldn't help but smile where Baekhyun smiled back as he got out of the car with Gayoung doing the same while feeling the cold breeze brushing against her as she shivered slightly because how thin fabric of her shirt was where the next second, a hoodie was presented in front of her. 

Following the owner, she locked eyes with Baekhyun who gestured her to take it and she shook her head with a little smile. "It's okay." 

"I insist." He forwarded it again, and Gayoung was contemplating with a hesitation before eventually taking it as she gave Baekhyun a warning look. "Don't blame me if you catch a cold." 

"Don't worry, I'm wearing a warm shirt." He chuckled, walking away as she watched his figure disappearing inside the Café, where Gayoung stared at his hoodie for a moment with a strange feeling as she felt awkward yet nervous wearing it but she couldn't handle the cold breeze so eventually her arms slipped through his hoodie to wrap it around herself. 

She felt warm. 

It smelled like him and somehow it felt weird to think about it to feel comfortable in it as she tucked her hair behind her ear awkwardly while wondering how she would feel even more awkward when Baekhyun would see her like this and as soon as she thought about it, he was already coming to her. 

Baekhyun stopped for a second before he began to walk again as he found Gayoung clad in his oversized hoodie which looked too big on her as her hands were barely seen through the sleeves but she looked good. 

"You're not laughing." She warned, as soon as he stopped in front of her while Baekhyun pressed his lips together with a nod as he handed her coffee to her. "I'm not." 

He leaned against the car beside her as Gayoung's eyes followed him doing it with a frown as she found his corner of lips turning upwards where Baekhyun turned to her while pointing at the hoodie. "It suits you." 

"I can't tell if you are being serious or not." She leaned back against the car with a grumpy look before taking a sip of the coffee to let out a sigh afterwards as it hit right on the spot. "Now I feel alive." 

Baekhyun tilted his head towards her where Gayoung happened to look at him at the same time where both of them exchanged a little smile, and there was so much behind that smile of theirs which didn't need to be said but still had to be said. 

"Actually-" 

"How-" 

And both of them had to say it at the same time as both of them stopped to give each other an awkward look where Gayoung nodded toward him. "You go ahead." 

"No, you do." 

"It's okay, you can do it." 

"No, it's really fine." 

"I-" 

"It would take us a whole year to decide who should go first and I'm up for it but," Baekhyun trailed off, fishing out his phone to check the time which was almost past 11 before he showed it to Gayoung. "We have to reach home too."

"Fine, but you're not going to laugh." Gayoung gave him a hesitant yet warning look and Baekhyun tilted his head with an amused look as he nodded. "Okay, but I can't promise." 

"I know it might sound silly but I'm Dodo's favorite." Gayoung looked away as soon as she said it while sipping her coffee leaving Baekhyun with a perplexed frown. "Okay? And?" 

"So, you can't be his favorite more than me." She voiced out, with a little whine behind but still couldn't look at Baekhyun because he would find it childish but she couldn't help but share it with him where Baekhyun couldn't help but smile as right now she was being a little child which she rarely appears out to be. "I won't try to be more than you but I can't help it if I do become his favorite."

Gayoung looked back at him with a dumbfounded look, before unconsciously she pushed him away by his shoulder lightly with her hand. "So you are making fun of me when I literally shared something with you!" 

Baekhyun looked away laughing where Gayoung realized that what she had done as she stood surprised for a moment but seeing Baekhyun not even minding about it, eased her as s
