Tired and dejected, Sana didn't come back to their dorm until late evening, faking a few coughs and sneezes, grabbing some meds and quickly retreated to her room after declaring that she caught a nasty cold. It's an easy way to cover for her puffy eyes and reddened nose. The girls believed right away, told Sana to take care and get well soon. As if broken heart would be so easy to fix like a common cold. Conveniently, she did catch a cold for staying on the rooftop for so long. It wasn't easy to cure, either, as fever came, and her head was hurting so much, just like her heart was. It's fine. Sana could blame the running tears and sniffing nose for the cold then. She had a few days to rest, hopefully she would get on her own feet by then.

Being sick was painful, yes, and the fever was so high that she couldn't remember a thing. There's someone took care of her, putting damp cloth on her forehead and wiping all the sweat. But Sana was so lost in jumbo of unconscious land that she couldn't make out who that was. Must be Mina or Jeongyeon, who stayed at the dorm more often than the rest, due to their anxiety. But then Sana remembered a soft kiss on her forehead and a whisper of get well soon and Mina was her guess. Jeongyeon, a tsunere as she was, would never kiss another member if not forced. Sana was glad she had her members around.

All in all, the cold and the separation from the hectic world was needed for Sana to recover. Both physically and mentally. Of course, she couldn't stop being in love with Jihyo just like that, but since she got all the tears and agony out, she could start healing. Sana found herself doing it exceptionally well. She didn't drown in jealousy and self-pity anymore whenever the leader interacted with other male idols. She didn't want to cry every time looking at Jihyo's face thinking the girl would never love her. She knew that. And she accepted that as an unchangeable fact. Nothing she can do anyway, why should she be sad about it?

Maybe the fact that Jihyo was not dating anyone right now did help Sana. No more stupid dates and disgusting lovestruck face (she's working on it!) But Sana thought she would be okay if the younger found someone who cared for her. Even if Sana could do better than anyone Jihyo dated. Just saying. Sana would get over it soon.

Sana managed to shoot Jihyo a genuine smile when the younger approached and thanked her for being a shoulder to cry on.

"It's okay." Sana said, "I will always be here for you." And she meant it, truly, in a friendly way.

Sana swore her heart didn't feel as painful when Jihyo pulled her into a hug afterwards.

It got better, gradually. Now, not being so blindly in love, Sana could appreciate how affectionate of a friend Jihyo was. After days in quarantine (Sana absolutely hated it. She couldn't interact with people! How was that called life?), she couldn't be happier hearing ruckus from afar of someone running to her place, and a familiar excited yell followed, "SANA". A big smile bloomed on her face when she extended her arms for Jihyo's tornado bear hug. Her heart did a little race, but there wasn't any pain.

When the break-up news broke out on media, Sana came to Jihyo's bed with an ice cream box in hand. The leader said she was okay, but accepted Sana's ice cream nevertheless. A few scoops later, Jihyo already circled her arms around Sana's waist and rested her head on the Japanese's shoulder, saying how blessed she was to have Sana. Sana just smiled and patted the leader's head, telling her the feeling is mutual. Her heart swelled, but not from pain.

She's happy to have Jihyo as friend.
