Fortuna, BM's Legacy
ABOUT FORTUNA
KPOP Hunter, Lee Jaein
Although it has been ten years of their disbandment, Fortuna has always been the inspiration and role model to many young K-pop trainees. If you're into K-pop, you probably will sound very insane if you tell someone that you've had never heard of them before. But if we're talking about Fortuna, we can left one of the sole reason why they exist in the first place.
BM Entertainment. It's impossible not to know this company, even if you're not that into the K-pop industry. And for those of you who are into K-pop, this company probably either one, housed your favorite group, or two, had been a trainee under BM Entertainment before. BM Entertainment is a great place for you to debut in the K-pop industry, as many trainees who leaves BM Entertainment almost always find themself debuting elsewhere, because if they were chosen to train under BM Entertainment, there must be something great about them. But they were not how they are right now. They weren't as successful and pretty much unheard of back in their early years. And who's with them when they were nothing you ask?

Long story short, nobody then ever heard of Fortuna, moreover BM Entertainment.
Fortuna first debuted with a mini album, Who's There, with BIM BAM BUM as a title track, a song which very much have the cute yet girl crush vibes, as a six membered girl group in August 7th 2019 with members, Edelweiss, Iris, Ivy, Tulip, Daisy, and Lilac. They were remotely unnoticed with their debut, only a few good discussion regarding their dance skills and face expressions. Besidesmall discussion, there were no comments or praises for their debut.
In November, the girls came back with another mini album and title song, Bouncy. With this comeback people started to comment that they're pretty strong and talented, and started to have a strong fanbase internationally, but not domestically. With the high influx of girl group debut in 2019, getting forgotten as a girl group from a nugu company is ordinary and predictable. So promotions for Bouncy ended up short, wrapped in just under a month, and it would nearly be a year before people heard about them again.
Due to COVID-19 spreading worldwide, they wasn't able to do any public promotion. And many would assume that they're going to disband like any other girl groups at that time, if it wasn't for them actively engaging with their fans on SNS and also doing promotions through their Youtube page of dance covers of groups such as Blackpink, BTS, and Stray Kids, which received over 1 million views, and a voca
