Description
This is an alternate universe of sorts for an alternate universe. Just a different story line for a collection I haven't written for in a very long time.
There are some loose ends and Amber and Tao need to straighten out, namely one particular red thread that just won't let them part.
Foreword
She knows his silhouette. Those shoulders. The sound of his voice as he hums.
It’s a happy hum at that. He’s at peace.
Even from here, his presence is familiar and calming...
But he shouldn’t be here.
