Jungkook's deep sleep was disturbed by the sudden burst of sunlight in the living room. The shades directly in front of him were abruptly opened by none other than Jimin, whose eyes shared a glimpse of impatience and intolerance. Although the potent ray of sunshine beamed directly to his face, Jungkook reflectively avoided the light and turned his entire body 180 degrees in one swift movement. Quickly he was prisoner of his dreams yet again. An irritated looking Jimin crossed his arms and signaled Yugyeom, who was entering the living room, to open the shades that were previously facing the back of the golden maknae and now worked as a shield of Jungkook’s sleep. Yugyeom deviated from his first intention, which was to lie back in the fluffy white couch, and shortly executed Jimin’s orders.

The immense power of the natural light rendered the room bright as day. The sunbeams touched the white furniture, bounced off the tall walls and finally landed in Jungkook’s eyelids. The target of the sun loudly grunted and reluctantly opened his eyes to find both Jimin and Yugyeom looking down on him. “What?!” Jungkook, while squinting his eyes, spoke indistinctly and without realizing massaged gently his cheeks, somehow trying to awake the muscles in his face. “What do you mean by “What”??!!” Jimin echoed, evidently annoyed at the younger and using a tone that was definitely not the first sound someone would want to hear first thing in the morning. “I came to wake you up an hour ago!! How are you still not ready to go?”, Jimin continued. Sensing the bad mood of his hyung straight away Jungkook resorted to silence, he knew better than to confront an angry Jimin. Besides, he just woke up and it was clear to him that his most intelligent and quick-witted responses didn’t usually come minutes after opening his eyes in the morning.

Jimin not hearing an answer decidedly spoke again, his voice the same pitch but it sounded strangely calmer than the last time, like when an slightly angry adult is trying to make an infant realize of the mistake they had made: “Jungkook, is almost 3 pm. We are supposed to meet the members in 30 minutes at the company’s headquarters.” Jimin closed his eyes and took a deep breath of air but didn’t exhaled. Jungkook prepared for what was coming, the tension Jimin was exuding from his tight stance gave away that at this instance he was more than irritated. “HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO REACH THE HEADQUARTERS IN LESS THAN 30 MINUTES WHEN WE ARE IN AN APARTMENT AT THE OUTSKIRTS OF SEOUL AND IT TAKES US AT LEAST 30 MINUTES TO REACH THE HIGHWAY” Jungkook dumbfounded couldn’t muster a word. “I refuse to be late for this idiot who can’t even remember what he had for breakfast”, Jimin said as he paced back and forth between the hall that connected the kitchen with the living room. Nonetheless, Jimin opened his eyes, his posture relaxing after that splurge of rage he didn’t know he had inside him. He proceeded to say, “Oh, I’m sorry… Jungkook-ah. That was unnecessary” he finished, running his fingers through his hair, embarrassed at how he had yelled at his best friend.

“It’s okay… You are right. We need to get going… NOW”. Jungkook got up and a foreign soft object fell to his feet. He then realized that the entire exchange with Jimin he had held on to that object. It looked soft, cozy, and squishy, it reminded him of a cute winter sweater. “I’ve seen this before”, he thought to himself. All at once the memories of last night played at the back of his mind: Chaeyoung and Jisoo in his apartment, him hugging Chaeyoung, him taking pictures for Chaeyoung, all of them laughing, him and Chaeyoung asleep less than 1 meter apart. Jungkook’s eyes widened to the point where the white part was more visible than the iris. He facepalmed his fully blushed and ashamed visage; then he squatted and tugged his arms closely, clearly wanting earth to swallow him entirely. Jimin and Yugyeom eyed each other, a confused expression reigning their faces, they didn’t know what had caused their friend to behave like that. They looked worriedly at Jungkook. Jimin lowered his body to Jungkook’s shortened height and gently grazed the younger’s shoulder, this action was followed by a worried toned: “Jungkook-ah, what’s wrong?” Jungkook lowered his face even further but responded, “I acted like a fool in front of her, hyung.” Jimin knew who he was referring to, there was only one person in his friend’s world that made him that nervous.

“Jungkook, don’t worry about it. I think she quite enjoyed yesterday”, Jimin punched lightly Jungkook’s right arm. This made Jungkook open his eyes and turn his attention to his hyung. “How are you sure?” he asked. “Oh, I know. Trust me” Jimin stood up, winked, and offered him his right hand.
