A/N: Set in a world where shapeshifters, elves, and witches exist. The italics are Tzuyu’s thoughts.

A hiss could be heard from a dark alley. If anyone would pass by, they will surely think that there’s some kind of killing happening inside it as a shadowy figure could be seen wrestling something beneath them.

However, if people would look closely, they will see a teenage girl with pointy ears struggling to put a collar on a hissing cat.

“Come on, kuro! It’s me, Tzuyu! I’ve been feeding you some bread since last week remember? Please, just put this on so I can take you home and feed you some more bread.” The half elf tried to remove the strange pendant on the cat’s neck in order to replace it with a collar only to yelp out as the cat swiped its paw on her, almost scratching her face.

“Hey! That wasn’t very nice of you.” The girl, Tzuyu, stated while pouting dejectedly. The cat simply sniffed and swiped its tail on the girl’s face seemingly trying to make appease with her.

Tzuyu smiled at the cat, watching it walk elegantly around her. She’s been so smitten with the cat since she saw it yesterday. Its blue, almost black, hair shining slightly whenever a ray of sunshine passes through. The cat’s electrifying blue eyes seem to be able to look through one’s soul with just one single glance. When she saw the cat running away from people a week ago, she immediately came to its aid and rescued the cat from its perpetuators. She decided to name it kuro due to its elegant looking fur.

After a while the cat seemed to get bored and started to get ready to leave, making Tzuyu pout and pat the cat lightly.

“Why don’t you just stay with me? I can make you bread every day you know?” she knows it sounds silly to be talking to a cat, but she needs to try.

The cat paused and looked at her with its alluring blue eyes before it made its way towards her, rubbing its body on the girl as if trying to scent mark her.

Tzuyu giggled at the sight and she slightly stretched as she got up from her crouching position, “It’s okay if you don’t want to be tamed yet. Just come back whenever you feel like it, yeah? I’ll keep on making bread for you.”

The cat mewled and started to run away from her, making Tzuyu sigh and head back inside their bake shop.

She silently tiptoed towards the front of the shop, but before she even reached the door a shrill voice abruptly stopped her, making her jump slightly.

“Where have you been?!”

Tzuyu heaved a sigh and looked at the owner of the voice trying her best to look cute, “I was just bringing out the trash Jihyo unnie, no need to be worried.”

“It’s not nice to lie to your unnie, Tzu. I saw you playing with a cat.” Jihyo looked at her sister disapprovingly, making the younger girl’s ears turn down a bit almost identical to a puppy’s.

Jihyo melted at the sight and beckoned her sister closer to her reaching over to ruffle the younger, albeit taller, girl’s hair in affection,” Come on, you know I’m weak for the puppy eyes and ears. Stop sulking and head back to work, I’ll pretend that you didn’t slack off, but just this once.”

Tzuyu grinned at her sister and skipped her way towards the counter.

“Hey Chaeng, Dahyun unnie.” She greeted her friends/co-workers once she saw them already serving coffee and bread to customers.

“Rascal! You left us again to feed a stray cat, there’s like a ton of freaking people here today, Tzu!” Chaeyoung exclaimed, her ears angrily moving twitching as she looked at the sheepish girl.

“Sorry, Chaeng. You know I can’t let her starve. Don’t worry I’ll treat you guys to ice cream later.”

“You better do that, Tzuyu. Today’s really stressful and a pouty Chaeyoung is making it worse.” Dahyun snickered as Chaeyoung huffed at the two before proceeding to make coffee.

“Oops! Gotta make it up to her, talk to you later, Tzu.”

Tzuyu hummed as she watched the two talk near the coffee maker, smiling at how Chaeyoung turned beet red after receiving a hug from the leader of SMC.

How whipped

She pulled out of her musing as the person in front of the counter cleared their throat making her snap her eyes towards the customer.

She smiled widely as she saw Sana standing in front of her, never forgetting to pause to admire her unnie before speaking in a soft tone, “Hey there unnie, sorry I was preoccupied for a bit.”

Sana, a witch who was her senior in school, giggled and Tzuyu couldn’t help but to note how her electrifying blue eyes seem to shine. She liked the older girl’s eyes, and she never fails to mention this whenever they see each other.

“Your eyes are shining brightly today and you look cute too, unnie. Like a shiba inu.” Tzuyu added the last part lowly, satisfied with the blush that her unnie now sports along with a cute smile.

“Thank you, Tzu. You don’t look so bad yourself.” She smiled at her crush’s remark and they stayed like that, just looking at one another and blushing like teenagers.

Before another cough was heard, and Tzuyu had to mentally berate herself for zooning off at work again.

“Are you guys done?” an annoyed voice behind Sana asked.

Tzuyu gasped slightly after seeing who it was.

“Mina-chan! You’re here already, sorry I was just talking to Tzu.” Sana said sheepishly, moving a bit to make way for an annoyed looking Mina.

Cute

“M-Mina-ssi, h-hi having a nice day?” Tzuyu asked nervously, her heartbeat faster than usual. She doesn’t know why she gets this reaction whenever she sees Mina.

Probably, ‘cause she’s famous and scary but she looks like an elegant cat when she moves

She snickered slightly at her own thought earning her another glare from the girl in front of her.

“It was great til’ I came here.” She heard her mumble, but she chose to ignore it and just awkwardly laughed instead.

Sana caught up with the situation and decided to intervene by ordering their food and dragging Mina away from the scared looking girl.

Once they were seated Sana looked at her friend sternly before sharply flicking her on the forehead.

“Hey! What was that for?!” Mina asked, massaging her head softly as she glared at Sana.

“For being a complete douche to Tzuyu.”

“I wasn’t being a douche.” Mina hissed at her witch friend.

Sana rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers at Mina, “Seriously though if you like her, just tell her instead of acting like a complete whenever she talks with other girls.”

Mina huffed at what her friend said, “I don’t like her like that, I’m just not in the mood.”

The witch looked at her with raised eyebrows and Mina couldn’t help but pout in defeat, “She has a crush on you, Sana. She always complements your eyes. There’s no use in telling her.”

“Is that why you copy my eyes whenever you go to her as a stray cat?” the witch asked as she watched Mina’s eyes widen a bit.

“N-no, what stray cat? Pfft as if I would resort to such move” Sana rolled her eyes at her friend’s antics, knowing full well that the other girl will give in soon.

“Mina, I literally saw you jump from your room’s window as a cat.” She deadpanned, and Mina just sighed in defeat.

“It’s so hard to make her notice me, Sana. She likes your eyes too much. She has a crush on you.” Mina said with conviction, her voice full of sorrow and defeat at the thought of Tzuyu liking her friend instead of her.

Sana laughed at her friend before nodding along, “Yeah, I know she does. Why do you think I come here so often for?”

Mina looked scandalized at what the witch said which prompted the girl to burst out laughing mumbling a quick sorry as she watched Mina huff in annoyance.

On the other hand, Tzuyu released a breath that she didn’t knew she was holding, “ahh so scary” she whined to herself as she made her way towards her friends.

“Hey, what got you looking so gloomy?” Chaeyoung asked once she saw her friend pouting while making her way towards them.

“Mina-ssi is so scary.”

Dahyun and Chaeyoung looked at each other before throwing their heads back laughing. Tzuyu glanced at them unamused with the situation.

“Seriously? Stop laughing! She literally hates my guts. I didn’t even do anything to her yet she glared at me as if I stole her candy or something.” Tzuyu groaned as she remembered how t
