Rays of sun shined through the blinds leaving rows of sungarden on Jessica's bed.
She was sleeping soundly when she was awaken by an angelic voice - Krystal's.
Krystal's singing again, in the bathroom while she's bathing.
Jessica stood up and walked over to the bathroom, was about to enter and she saw the calender.

"Ah! Today's Taetae's birthday! 9th March!"
"I've promised her weeks ago to celebrate it with her"
"Hmm.. Gotta send her a Happy Birthday wish first.."

When Jessica arrived outside Taeyeon's mansion,
there's not a single soul out there.
Jessica cant spot Taeyeon at all.
Despite the fact the Taeyeon said she's already out of the house.
What could possibly happen to Taeyeon?
Jessica started calling and calling Taeyeon's phone.
But its off. keeps on directing Jessica to the voicemail.
Then, Jessica starting pressing Taeyeon's bell repeatedly, as if she's gonna break the bell or something.
She got into Taeyeon's house and searched for Taeyeon but to no avail.

It was then the bell rang again.
And a parcel was found.
The parcel looked familiar.
Its like Jessica saw it somewhere but she just couldnt recall it where.
She picked it up and saw,

"To : Beloved Halraeborji of KIM TAEYEON"

After looking at the box, Jessica dashed into Taeyeon's house and passed the parcel to Mr. Kim,
wanting to know what happened.
When Mr Kim saw the box,
he didnt know what was going on too and gave Jessica a weird look before opening up the parcel.

To everyone's horror,
it was a polaroid picture of Taeyeon being tied up in a dark area.
Whats more, a small bunch of hair was attached behind the picture.
It's Taeyeon's hair.
As Mr.Kim removed the attached hair,
a note was found behind the picture.

"Muhahaha."
"Mr.Kim.. I've got your beloved granddaughter on my hand"
"What are you gonna do?.."
"MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

"NOW LISTEN UP!"
"IF YOU WANT YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER BACK, SAFE&SOUND, LISTEN TO ME"
"MEET ME UP AT XXX AT 12MN TONIGHT WITH 10MILLION WON"

"Gosh.. Taeyeon.." Mr. Kim called out..
Tears started flowing down the old man's wrinkled face.
"10million won.. Where do you expect me to find?"

After reading the note, Jessica rushed out of the house without a word.

Jessica's POV

Have to look for Taeyeon's whereabouts..

"Yoboseyo"

"Yuri-ah, i need an emergency help right now"
"Help me find as many secret agents as possible, skilled in looking for people"
"Track down Taeyeon's whereabouts. She's being kidnapped"
"Ask Yoona to help too, as many as possible until Taeyeon's whereabouts has been confirm"

"What?! Okay Ms.Jung"
"Im gonna do it straight away"
"Wait for my call"

Where am i?..
Why is it so dark and stuffy here?..
Argh..
Why did i end up here?
All i remembered was i got knocked out by something hard.
To come & think of it, my head is hurting so badly.

"IM SURE YOU DONT REMEMBER ME"
"BUT IM BUTLER JI, BEING SENT TO JAIL BY YOUR HALRAEBORJI 'CAUSE HE SAID I STOLE MONEY, JEWELLERIES FROM HIM"
"HE MADE MY LIFE SUFFERED SO MUCH IN JAIL. AND NOW, ITS PAYBACK TIME!"

The voice started fading slowly.
My arms & legs are all tied up.
I cant see anything too.
Gosh, what will this guy do to halraeborji.
I cant expect him to harm halraeborji.
Halraeborji is already so old.

Taeyeon got slapped again.
But this time round much harder that 'cause her to "fly" and hit the wall.
And she fell unconcious again.

Jessica's side

*Phone call*

"Yoboseyo"

"Ms Jung, its me. One of Yoona's tracker managed to seize the whereabouts of Ms. Kim"
"She's at XXX right now"

"Okay thanks a lot Yuri!"
"Im rushing over there now to save Taeyeon! Please let Yoona inform Mr.Kim to not do anything while you go and report this to the police"
"And get the police to send help over to us!"

"Neh Ms Jung, take care & becareful!"

*Ends phone call*

After getting the exact location of Taeyeon, Jessica just dashed out of the house and drove her Lamborghini out of her garage that stayed there for like years.
She sped all the way there. When she reach the exact location,
she can hear her Taeyeon screaming her lungs out at someone.
The someone Jessica's not sure who.
Its most probably the kidnapper.

Jessica squat outside the isolated house,
peered into the window and saw Taeyeon being hit by the guy with a mask over his head.

Jessica's POV

Argh!
How can he hit my Taetae!
How can!
Im going in to stop him!

End of Jessica's POV

Jessica dashed into the room, holding onto a stick.
Wanting to whack the kidnapper but failed badly.
She got pushed away by the kidnapper.
Butler Ji was furious at her for wanting to save Taeyeon, wanting to hit him with such a weak stick.
Someone found out his hideout, and this made butler Ji even more furious.

Taeyeon was only able to hear the background sounds.
She knew something was happening out there but couldnt make anything out of the sound.

Suddenly, butlet ji flashed his gun that was originally hidden in the his boots.
He pointed the gun's barrel at Taeyeon.

"You're gonna regret this!" shouted butler Ji.

A gunshot was heard.
He fired his gun.
But instead of hitting Taeyeon,
Jessica dashed forward and got hit instead.
She fell onto Taeyeon.

"Taetae, you alright?.."
"Did he hurt you?"

"Sica.." *sobs* "Is that you?"
"Why did you even take that bullet for me?!"
"Are you hurting badly?" cried Taeyeon.
Tears were seeping through her blindfold.

Butler Ji was even more mad when he realised that he didnt hit Taeyeon.
He wanted revenge on Mr.Kim for making his life to miserable in jail.
So he picked up a dagger and started heading towards Taeyeon.
He thought that since a gun cant hit here, surely using his hands with the dagger can hurt Taeyeon.
When he was about to slash Taeyeon, Jessica got up again and shielded the slash from Taeyeon.
Upon seeing this, it made butler Ji even more mad, he wanted to slash more.
It seems like slashing someone with a dagger is a very satisfying thing for him.

Just as he was about to slash the 2nd time,
another gunshot was heard.
And the next thing Jessica saw was butler Ji falling onto the ground.

"Sica..You.." Taeyeon called but stopped as she fell unconcious.

Then, paramedics started coming in one by one, with a stretcher etc.
While they were attending to Jessica, Jessica spoke.

"Please.. Ignore me. Attend to Taeyeon first.." Jessica pleaded weakly while pushing off the hands of the paramedics
"Im alright, just attend to Taeyeon.."
Jessica's eyes were full of tears.

Although Jessica was in a lot of pain,
she's still worried for Taeyeon.

Jessica's POV

Argh..
Taetae.. You're gonna be fine..
Im sure..

Wait..
Why are things turning so blurry now?..
And i cant seem to keep my eyes open..
Im really tired..

After the paramedics got Taeyeon into the ambulance,
they came back to Jessica. Only to find an unconcious Jessica.
The paramedics immediately got Jessica onto the stretcher and brought her into the ambulance.
But suddenly, she regain her conciousness, calling out for Taeyeon.

"Taetae.."
"Taetae.. Tae.." Jessica stopped and started coughing, and the next thing is, Jessica's gasping for air painfully.

"Quick! Casaulty's having an asthma attack!"
"Oxygen mask!" shouted the paramedics

While trying to stablised Jessica's condition,
they quickly got her into National Seoul University Hospital to get treated

While Jessica's being treated in the ER,
Krystal was seen rushing into the hospital with worried look.
She ran towards the counter and asked,

"Where Jessica Jung? The patient who have just gotten in here after being rescued from a kidnap accident?!"

"Erm Miss, she's being treated right now. But she has to undergo a surgery to remove the bullet that she got from the accident"
"May I know how are you related to her, can you sign her a consent form for us to proceed with the surgery?"

"Im her younger sister Krystal Jung. Okay i'll sign it "
*signing*
"And may I know where Kim Taeyeon?"
"Also a casualty from the accident"

"Oh her, she didnt suffered as much as Jessica Jung"
"She just had a minor concussion and a few cuts and bruises here and there"
"She's at ward XXX"

"Okay thanks"
"Do contact me if anything's wrong"
"I'll be going over to Kim Taeyeon's ward"

Krystal left the ER with a heavy heart.
She's really worried for Jessica.
She hopes that Jessica can pull through it.
Jessica's her only family member and she cant lose her.
Entering Taeyeon's ward,
Krystal saw Mr.Kim and a few policeman surrounding Taeyeon.

"Ms.Kim, would kindly describe the whole scene and the whole process of happening to us?"
"Although we have captured the kidnapper red-handed, but recording of the victim's testimony's still a must for us"

So Taeyeon elaborated the whole process of what actually happened.
After the policeman left, Krystal walked toward Taeyeon's bed and sat down.
Looking at Krystal, Mr.Kim silently exited the room.
To leave the both of them to talk.

"Taeyeon unnie.. How are you?.."

"Krystal.. Im sorry" Taeyeon cried
"I caused Jessica to be in the current condition"
"If only she didnt come and save me, shielded my bullet and slashes"
"She wouldnt be in so much pain, and you wouldnt be so worried"
"Im sorry Krystal.."

"Taeyeon unnie.. Im not blaming you.."
"Hushhush, dont cry. Im sure Jessica unnie's gonna pull through" Krystal said while hugging Taeyeon.

Suddenly, a nurse came into the room.

"Ms Jung, Jessica's lost too much blood and our blood storage is lacking of O+ blood"
"Is there anyone who can donate O+ blood for her?"

"What?! Okay im coming with you"
"Im her sister, my blood type's also O+"
"Taeyeon unnie, i'll be right back okay"

Krystal left the ward and went for a blood transfusion.
A few hours later, Jessica was seen being pushed into the Taeyeon's ward.
Just beside Taeyeon.
The only difference was,
machines,wires and a lot of equipments were hooked up and attached to Jessica.
While Taeyeon was attached with only an IV drip.

Taeyeon saw Jessica and immediately got off her bed and sat on the chair beside Jessica's bed.
She was holding onto Jessica's hand when Krystal came in.

"Taeyeon unnie, dont worry. The doctors said that unnie's surgery went well"
"Its just that she's kinda weak right now"
"Taeyeon unnie, you should rest too you know"

"Araeso Krystal. Thank you so much!"
"Thank you so much for trusting me"

"Alright Taeyeon unnie, i'll go back home now to get Jessica unnie's belonging before coming back"
"See ya later!"

After Krystal left,
Taeyeon sat beside Jessica and held onto her hands,
tears full of sorries were falling down Taeyeon's cheeks,
landing on Jessica's delicate hand.

"Sica-ah~" Taeyeon called
"Jinja gomawo..."
"Jinja byuntae..."

Apart these words, Taeyeon was at a loss of words.
She didnt know what to say.
All of the sudden, she felt a light squeeze on her hands.
Her head shot up and looked at Jessica.
Jessica's woke up and smiled at the sight of Taeyeons tears-filled face.

"Saranghae Taetae.."Jessica whispered, barely audible to anyone else thats a few centimetres away from Taeyeon.

Jessica's hand then slowly shot up, and she started wiping the tears of Taeyeon's face.

"Dont cry.. Taetae"
"Go back to your bed and rest.." said Jessica weakly

Taeyeon just brushed off the fringe on Jessica's head and landed her a peck on her forehead.

Taeyeon's POV

Its hurting me so much to see Jessica being so weak.
Being hooked onto so many different machines..
But at least she's safe now.

Weeks after Taeyeon's discharge from the hospital,
its finally time for Jessica to get out of the hospital too.
At least she's fully healed as for now.
But the hospital stay gave her lots of "homework" at the office.
Right after her discharge from the hospital, Jessica went back to her workaholic-self again.
Although Taeyeon doesnt want her to be like this,
She knew that she's got no choice but to let her be.
She understand how Jessica sees the business, how important it is to her.

"Taetae?.."
"Taetae?.."
"TAETAE?!.."

"Whats up Sica?!" giggled Taeyeon

"Why didnt you reply me when i was calling for you!"

"Hahas, i just wanted to see your annoyed look!" teased Taeyeon
"You know Sica.. I want you to meet my halraeborji.."

"WHAT?!" shouted Jessica
