“Boss!”

Sora was careful.

Hiding under her oversized pullover and black mask with dark glasses that was making her hard to look around in the early morning.

She almost crashed into a pole because she couldn’t see - but she was determined and just marched forward with the same enthusiasm and somehow ended up arriving to her cafe in one piece. 

Her camouflage skills were levelling up and there are no way that someone would know that she was Sora - the owner of the coffee shop in the neighborhood.

She planted herself on the wall, walking to the door of her cafe while keeping an eye on the cafe across hers.

That man didn’t come yet, and she smirked inwardly triumph. It wasn’t a competition, but she win anyway and have her laughed at it in a boastful manner. 

She went inside and quickly locked on the door - still keeping an eye for the coffee shop and when she finally convinced herself that the guy wouldn’t be coming soon - she switched on the lights of her coffee shop.

She knew she should have listened to Joohyun and considered the coffee shop across hers was just a healthy competitive business and probably shouldn’t mind about it. 

But - she couldn’t help but to feel worried. 

She didn’t want that coffee shop to be stealing all of her spotlight and customers away. She shouldn’t be putting down her guard just because Joohyun said so. 

She needed to be careful on a new people. 

That’s why, she was quick in doing the job - roasting the coffee, preparing for the cakes and breads before sweeping on the floor as she glanced at the coffee shop across hers. 

Perhaps she was busy with her own shop that she didn’t noticed how that shop was already switching on its lights and Sora went jumping to hide when she saw the same guy from the other night - wiping on the glass surface of his shop. 

He was early. 

And that irritates her even more, making her hiding behind the counter because she doesn’t want him to see her in the shop. 

But despite she was annoyed at him - she couldn’t help but sneak a peek at him. 

His long legs when he strutted towards his cafe makes Sora huffed in jealousy and she ended up staring at her own legs - noticing how it was shorter than his, and that make her glared at him more. 

His shoulders were wide, complimenting on his broad pecs - that she knew he had it under his clothes - because she may or may not stared at it when he was dragging the furnitures yesterday.

Aside from that, Sora also noticed his long slender arms that somehow bulged from his clothes from yesterday’s activities and she ended up staring at him again - wanting to see the sights again. 

She somehow thanked the God for giving her such a good eyesight because she can peeked on someone so easily from behind her counter. 

Her eyes went squinting for a better view, noticing he went inside the cafe and went switching on the lights and went behind his counter. 

Weirdly, she ended up staring at his face who seemed focused on something behind the counter. 

Despite he was far away, his good looking features were still evident and if he wasn’t her competitor in the business, she would agreed on his handsome face. 

Sora was still staring behind the counter, peeking him in her own coffee shop - letting the top of her head to peek from the counter and have her eyes blinked at him. 

Like a hippopotamus staring at you from inside the water. 

But then, his hands seemed to be stopped on whatever he was doing and swiftly, he placed a paper on the glass window - targeting towards her. 

STOP STARING, MISS PEEPING TOM.

Sora went coughing at that and somehow fall flat on her , before she cried to herself for being caught and balled herself on the floor.

While Sehun went snorting as she quickly slipped away from the counter that she was hiding at. He could literally feel her burning eyes glaring daggers at him when he walked and does she really think nobody can see her?

She sure is small and petite, but Sehun could still make out her figures. 

And he went staring at the coffee shop across his, waiting for the girl to stand up and walked around for her work - when he didn’t see her and he snorted in disbelief. 

Did she crawled on the floor or something? 

Just why does she hide herself?

Somehow makes Sehun wondered about her - wanting to see her. 

But as hours passed, other girls were working in the coffee shop, sweeping the floor and wiping the glass surface.

Joohyun. 

He remembered the manager of that cafe. 

As time passed, somehow, in someway - Sehun found himself waiting.

Though, he doesn’t entirely know what he was waiting for - but he kept on glancing at coffee shop across his and let his neck stretched longer to get a better view.

There was a tad disappointment lingering in his chest when he stared at the girls that went working there, frowning to himself when he wasn’t seeing someone that he wanted.

“Look at our Sehun...is he ogling at someone?” Minseok went smirking teasingly and Sehun rolled his eyes at that. 

“Is someone from that coffee shop worth seeing, your majesty?”

“Oh, shut up.” Sehun rolled his eyes again and Minseok went snorting. 

“I can’t blame it though, the girls from the coffee shop are all cute.” Jongin went saying next, moping the floor and Sehun sighed.

“Did someone grab our Sehun’s attention?” Baekhyun marched from the kitchen, holding a tray of pastries that he went setting on the counter - so the others can have a taste of it. 

“Who is it, your majesty?” 

Sehun didn’t mind the nickname that the others were giving him, and still focused on the coffee shop across his. 

“Nobody.”

But just then, his lips drew into a lopsided grin and he chuckled to himself - suddenly thinking of a fun idea.

Joohyun can literally feel Sora’s dejected pout as she stood behind the counter and tended the customers that went into her coffee shop, and she was sighing at that. 

As hours passed, and customers went rolling in, Joohyun could sensed that everyone was keen on the cafe across them, pointing at it with hushed voices and teasing giggles. 

She went glaring at Jongin and Baekhyun who were decorating on their front cafe, sending flirty winks and playful teasing on the people that went passing by. 

They were attracted, of course - and Joohyun felt like the value of their own shop was decreasing. 

Even more, when their girls were already ogling on the boys using Sora’s binoculars and gawked at the boys, loving the pretty boys across their shop and she knew that Sora was worrying about her workers’ loyalty. 

“They are all guys. I don’t see any girls there.” Wendy said, and Seulgi sighed dreamily. 

“Gosh, I wanna work there...among those guys...”

“I can easily asked Sora to fired you, if you want.” Joohyun glared, and Seulgi laughed awkwardly at that. 

“I’m - I’m kidding.” 

Seulgi and Wendy went laughing awkwardly again and ended up leaving the cafe with a nervous laugh - continuing to have their lunch together and leaving Joohyun and Sora alone to take care of the cafe. 

They were still fangirling at the pretty boys that were at the cafe across them, and Sora huffed inwardly at that. 

Joohyun rolled her eyes, before patting Sora behind the counter as the owner was busy attending the customers that went coming in. 

She was taking care of it as Seulgi and Wendy went on for their lunch.

“Sora...”

The girl looked up, pouting at Joohyun.

“You good?”

Sora shook her head. “I’m not.”

“You got worry written all over your face.” Joohyun said, and she huffed. 

“That’s what I’m not good means, Joohyun...”

Joohyun blinked at that, not offended by Sora’s whining. 

“That cafe is already attracting many people.” Sora then glared at the coffee machine as if it was the reason for her sudden changing mood. 

She didn’t want to stare at the coffee shop across hers - she despised that. Also, she doesn’t want to get caught once again by that stupid guy who think that he’s better than everyone and have the audacity to open a coffee shop across hers. 

“Don’t worry about it.” Joohyun said, focusing to make a coffee for Sora to ease down her worry and Sora pouted even more - feeling like Joohyun doesn’t want to listen to her in the first place. 

“You say that, and that makes me worry even more.” Sora said. 

But then, the bell of her coffee shop went ringing and she whirled around, quickly pushed away her sulking face and tried to focus on the customer.

And her heart felt like it just jumped out of her rib cage when she saw the bored looking guy went walking in her coffee shop so casually - like he owned the place or something. 

Her mind was screaming her to run - knowing that he knew what she looked like, and he also knew that she had been peeping him since they opened the cafe. 

But, under his dark eyes and small smirk on the corner of his lips - Sora couldn’t move. 

She gulped down on her nervousness and the guy stepped right in front of her at the counter. 

Thanks to her short and small figure - he couldn’t really see her face when she doesn’t look up and she desperately tried to make her long hair covered her face enough, so he wouldn’t be able to recognized her. 

But, she could sensed the intense look from him, and she knew - she knew that he recognized her. 

And she cussed at herself - knowing that she was doomed. 

“Mr.Sehun.” Joohyun greeted and somehow glanced at Sora who was frozen in her spot. She should do something about it, but the way Sora went frozen and unable to function under the sudden guy’s presences make her grew interested on where things will get going. 

Sehun went nodding at Joohyun to return back her greetings and stared back at Sora - somehow amused at how she was so keen on having her head down without staring at him. 

“Aren’t you going to take my order?” 

Sora blinked at that, and she quickly cleared . 

“O - of course.” her voice went into a high pitched tone and Joohyun closed her eyes at how stupid her friend was. 

“W - what do you want?”

While Sehun almost smiled amusingly at her way of trying to change her voice. 

“Give me a slice of that, that, that, and that...” he pointed at the cakes in the display panel, and Sora blinked.

He was basically taking a slice of every cakes that she had made. It supposedly wasn’t a problem, because Sora never judged someone on the ability to eat that much. But at the moment, she couldn’t help but to feel anxious - feeling like he wanted to do something from her cake. 

And she gasped dramatically in her head. 

What if he tries to steal her recipe and make a fantastic cake from it? 

Like, how a certain chef can taste every ingredients and make the exact cake - what if that guy was like that? 

Sora had her eyes widened anxiously at Sehun, and for the first time - his lips tugged into a small smile at seeing her small face. 

She looked so pretty with her wide curious eyes and pouting pink lips, along with her chubby baby fat cheeks - reminding him of a hamster. 

“Look at that, nice to meet you again, miss peeping Tom.”

“I was wondering when I got to see your face again. Guess today is the day. Have fun watching me?”

Sora went blushing madly, and Sehun raised an amused brow at that. 

“I - I didn’t watch you!” she huffed loudly, somehow attracting a few looks from the customers in the cafe, and Joohyun groaned, rolling her eyes along the way.

“Oh, so it wasn’t you that peeped in my coffee shop that night?”

At the accusations, Sora went redder and she cussed at how well his memory was. 

“That - that wasn’t me! It was - ” she glanced at Joohyun for help, and her friend could only blinked back in return. 

“ - it was my twin!”

Joohyun facepalmed mentally. 

Sehun blinked. Before he snorted and stared back at Sora. “Twin?”

“Yeah, I have a twin. She was the one who peeped on your shop that night.” 

Sora didn’t know where the confidence to lie flatly came from, but she wasn’t complaining. She just hoped that the guy would bought it and leave her all alone. 

Probably leave her coffee shop alone in the same time.

And Joohyun was already sighing in defeat - probably being done at dealing with whatever Sora was planning in her small mind.

Sehun doesn’t seemed like he was complaining about her sudden lies, and she just hoped that he really would believed her. 

“Oh, really now?” he crooked a brow at her and Sora hated how attractive he looked when he does that, somehow makes her heart fluttered a bit.

“Can I see her?” 

“She’s busy.” 

“Doing what?”

“Taxes...” Sora blinked at that. 

“And stuff...”

Sehun pressed his lips tight together, but Sora noticed the way the corner of his lips were so close on going up - as if he was amused at her answer. 

Probably mocking her on how stupid she sounded in his mind and Sora unwillingly glared at him, without knowing how cute she looked and have his heart tickled a bit at that. 

“Alright.” his lips tugged amusingly. 

“Then can I see your boss? I came by last time and Joohyun said that she was busy.”

Joohyun blinked at that, while Sora suddenly have a flashback on how she was just blending in with the cabinet when he came by. 

“Our boss is on vacation.”

“Oh?” Sehun raised a brow at that, almost as if he was taunting on her lies - but Sora didn’t mind that. 

“She’s busy. Probably gonna come back next year.”

Sehun stared at her. “That’s a shame. I really want to see her.”

Sora didn’t know whether it was intentional or not, but the way he went saying that seemingly like it was meant for her - from the glint in his eyes, and the way that he teasingly let out his small amused smile.

“Me too. I would love if you could see my boss too - ”

“Boss!” Seulgi happily opened the door, eyes darting towards Sora and beamed. 

“The store didn’t have the food that you wanted, do you want anything else?”

Joohyun pressed her lips tight, before turning away from the scene and focused on taking the cakes that Sehun had ordered. 

Sora gulped hard. 

While Sehun raised another brow at her, crossing his arms and just let his biceps bulged under the shirt that he was wearing. 

Boss. 

Boss. 

Darn you, Seulgi.

Sora laughed awkwardly at that. “What the hell? What do you mean by boss? I never got promoted.”

Seulgi blinked. “Huh?”

“Our boss is on vacation, right?” Sora gave a look - hoping that Seulgi would take the hint - though the girl looked lost as she frowned in confusion. 

“Vacation? You’re on vacation, boss?” Seulgi looked lost again, tilting her head to scan what was going on, and Sora bite the inside of her cheek to surpass the sudden embarrassment that was heating up on her face.

While Sehun just chuckled under his breath, making her blushed even more and she had to squeeze her eyes tight, hoping that someone can just killed her at the moment.

“I didn’t know you go vacation in your own coffee shop, boss.” Sehun had the corner of his lips tugged amusedly and Sora couldn’t help the way her face went reddened even more.
