Chapter III
Say Yes To The LimelightSM Elevator
“You sure I look alright?” Civannah asked Matthew as she checked her hair on her phone's camera.
“You look fine.” Matthew said his eyes never leaving the elevator door.
“Are you sure? Everyone keep staring at me.”
Matthew sighed. Of course everyone had heard that she was coming and wanted to take a peek at the normal girl that was dating an idol.
“You look perfect.” Matthew said as he turned to give Civannah a small smile before turning back as the elevator doors opened, gesturing for Civannah to walk out first.
“Civannah, welcome to SM. I’m Min Hee Jin, creative director. We’re so happy that you decided to join our team.”
“Thank you. I’m excited to be here.” Civannah smiled as she walked to an available seat.
“This is Park Yun Ha, also known as Giant Pink.” Hee Jin spoke motioning to the blonde haired girl who gave a small smile and nod of her head. “You’ll be working with her for ‘Burn Out’ music video.
“I look forward to working with you.” Civannah spoke, taking the file that Yun Ha passed to her.
“And this is Ryan. Ryan is a member of Faky, our Japanese focused group. You’ll be working with them for their three videos; ‘Girls Gotta Live’ , ‘Antidote’ , and ‘New Age’.
“We look forward to working with you.” Ryan spoke, passing Civannah a file containing the information about their songs with a small smile.
“Likewise. Just let me look over everything and I should have some ideas for you both in the next couple of days.” Civannah said calmly even though just by the song titles she was excited.
“Well we have high expectations for you. You do come highly recommended.” Ryan smirked.
“Well I hope to live up to your expectations.”
“The company surely hopes so. Please do not hesitate to come to me for anything. We have a lot riding on these. Yun Ha will be getting married soon and this will be her last video for a while.”
“Ahh. Congratulations.” Civannah told Yun Ha to receive a thanks in return.
“Faky has just undergone a line up change so we’re excited to get them out to the fans that have continued to stay loyal.”
“Definitely. We should keep the excitement and momentum going.”
“I’m glad you agree. You’re all busy ladies so I’ll take my leave. Please don’t be a stranger.” Hee Jin spoke before heading out of the conference room.
“I also have another meeting to head off to.”
“Go ahead, Yun Ha. I’ll set a meeting up for some time this week. If that’s okay?”
“Sounds great.” Yun Ha spoke leaving only Civannah, Ryan, and Matthew in the conference room.
“Now that business is over I can finall tell you how excited I am that you're here.”
“Excuse me?” Civannah asked, confused.
“Ohh they must not have told you. I also know about you and Changmin.” Ryan revealed.
“I’m starting to really wonder how many people know… maybe that’s why people were staring at me earlier.”
“We should head off to your office next.” Matthew said after clearing his voice to cut their conversation short.
“Ah.. yeah. Well it was very nice meeting you Ryan.”
“Likewise. Don’t hesitate to reach out. Any friend of Changmin is a friend of mine.” Ryan smiled brightly.
“Right. Friend.”
“We really must be going.” Matthew spoke, putting one arm around Civannah’s waist and leading her out before Ryan could say anything more.
“Does Changmin have a schedule today?” Civannah asked while they waited for the elevator to come.
“Only this morning, he’s free for the rest of the day.” Matthew answered to get a hum from Civannah.
The elevator dinged and opened for Civannah and Matthew to enter.
“Oh. You must be Civannah.” Jongdae spoke once the elevator doors closed, extending his hand to hers.
“Yes. Jongdae, right?” Civannah asked as she shook his hand.
“I’m honored that you remembered me.”
“Changmin had sent a picture of you. I was actually looking forward to meeting you. Congratulations on the marriage and baby.”
“Thank you. Congratulations on your relationship with Changmin. He’s a great guy.”
“Yeah he is.” Civannah smiled and thought of Changmin.
“He really makes you happy…” Jongdae spoke seeing how Changmin’s mere mention could light up her whole face. “I’ve seen you do the same to him. I hope things work out well while you’re here. It would be nice to have you around more than just these few months of work.”
“We’ll see.” The elevator dinged, opening to reveal Jongdae’s floor.
“Don’t be shy. You're more than welcome to come to the practice room, studio, dorm, my home….”
“Thank you. Like Ryan said, ‘A friend of Changmin is a friend of mine.’”
“You met Ryan?”
“I’m working with her group for their videos.” Civannah shrugged.
“Watch out for Ryan. She means well but she can be blinded when she sets her mind to something. And remember you’re not just any friend of Changmin’s, you're his girlfriend. Never forget that he chose you.”
“Thanks Jongdae. I needed that.”
“Anytime.” Jongdae smiles before heading off, letting the elevator doors close.
Civannah turned and looked at Matthew. “Can we skip the office part and go find some food?”
“Didn’t you eat before we left?” Matthew asked only to have Civannah shake her head in response. “How about I get you to your office and you start looking over your files while I grab you some food?”
“I guess that works too.” Civannah pouted while she took out her phone that flashed that she had a new text from Katrina.
“Why is she sending me an allkpop article?” Civannah whispered as she clicked the link.
Tvxq’s Changmin names Han Ye Seul as ideal type…
“Ideal type hm..” Civannah said as another text from Katrina floated across her screen.
‘It’s a good thing you guys didn’t try dating then. You’re totally not compatible.’
“Yeah… totally not compatible…”
