Chapter I
Say Yes To The Limelight
Seoul, South Korea
“You’ve got to tell her.”
“I know Yunho. I didn’t think giving a name to my ideal type was going to cause any commotion. We’ve been flying under the radar since the last come back, I didn’t think they’d start a ship.” Changmin spoke, rubbing his hands over his face.
“You better tell her as soon as she gets here. I want you to tell her before but she might refund her ticket.”
“I don’t think she would refund her ticket. But I know she’s going to be upset, especially when I tell her the company knows.”
“I can’t believe you made it two years without them knowing.”
“Not all of us could hide it as well as you.” Changmin told Jongdae as he walked into the room.
“That’s why I’m here. Jongin told me that Civannah is coming in a few days.” Jongdae spoke as he took a seat on the couch.
“How does Jongin know?” Changmin wondered.
“I told Taemin when we were catching up last week.” Yunho confessed.
“Is my life that great the entire company needs to know?”
“It’s not our fault you wanted to have a long distance relationship with a foreigner.” A girl said as she leaned against the door frame.
“Not you too Ryan.” Changmin whined, earning laughs from his friends.
“Seriously, do you really think this is going to work out.”
“I do. Which is why she agreed to come stay in Seoul. More face to face. More time spent together. More getting to know each other. We’re gonna make it work. We love each other.”
“Love.” Ryan scoffed. “She’ll never make it and you’ll have wasted two years trying. Not everyone can say yes to the limelight.”
“You’re right.” Changmin said as he got up and walked towards Ryan. “But if leaving the limelight is what it takes to keep her in my life then I wouldn’t mind.” Changmin admitted before sliding past Ryan and leaving.

“I can’t believe you’re really going back to Korea.”
“Me either. It’s surreal that they asked me to come and design the sets for a few music videos. I’m kind of nervous because it was just for fun last time I helped on video sets but this time I’m completely heading it.” Civannah spoke as she looked out at the water.
“You’re going to do amazing. Besides I’ve never seen you this happy before.”
“There's so much waiting for me there. I think that I’ll really be happy.”
“You better call me as soon as there’s any trouble.”
“I think I’ll be fine Kat.”
“Civi, you have to remember that we aren’t like them. Starting off with the skin complexion. Stand up for yourself. And don’t let any boys get in your way. Sure going abroad for work and finding love seems like a win but remember everything has a timestamp. You’ll have to come back home eventually.”
“Yeah… eventually…”
“Hey don’t look too sad. That’s my job.” Kat said, placing her arm around Civannah’s shoulder.
“What if things don’t work out….”
“It’s just a job.” Katrina answered, not knowing the real meaning behind Civannah’s words.
“But it’s a job that I’ve come to like over the years. Maybe even love.”
“Then as your friend I’ll support anything you decide. Just make sure you’re happy. Now let’s go.” Katrina said standing up and putting her hand out for Civannah. “We have enough time for one more round of bumpers, lemonade, and funnel cakes.”
“As long as you don’t yell at the operator again.” Civannah laughed as she took Katrina’s hand.
“It’s not my fault that the car’s weren’t working.”
“Mines were perfectly fine though.” Civannah laughed as they made their way from the beach, and back up to the boardwalk.
