“I’ve been feeling neglected ever since you started working at the new hospital,” Sunny whined cutely as she applied a facial mask on Eunha.
“I’ve just been busy,” Eunha hummed, relaxing in the comfortable chair at the spa. “You know how hectic my schedule can be.”
“At least before you lived close by so I could visit whenever.” Sunny pouted. “Now you live with my ex so I can’t even visit your place.”
“What does Minseok have to do with you visiting?” Eunha frowned.
“Wouldn’t he find it awkward?” Sunny questioned. “And don’t frown, you’ll ruin the facial mask.”
“Since when did you care about it being awkward?” Eunha mused, making sure to keep her face expressionless.
“You’re right.” Sunny nodded. “I was trying to be considerate but who am I kidding. If I want to see my best friend I’ll just barge in even if Minseok’s in the middle of getting frisky with some woman.”
“So you’re the problem.” Eunha chuckled. “You just didn’t care for me enough to come visit.”
“Stop twisting my words Do Eunha,” Sunny huffed. “Anyway, anything interesting happen in your life recently? And please no medical talk. Only you find that stuff interesting.”
Eunha paused, wracking her brain to think of something to say but failed to come up with anything.
“What are you curious about?”
“Boys of course!” Sunny exclaimed in excitement. “Any cute guy that could spice up your stale love life?”
“Relationships are too troublesome,” Eunha sighed.
“Just answer my question,” Sunny insisted. “What about that Yiyi guy from China?”
“His name is Yixing and…” Eunha corrected though her voice faded out.
“And?” Sunny raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
“And nothing else really.” Eunha shrugged her shoulders. “He’s knowledgable and skilled and suited for his job. That’s all I have to say.”
“So boring.” Sunny pouted while staring at her nails out of boredom. “What about Junmyeon? Is he still being annoying?”
“Don’t get me started,” Eunha exhaled, resisting the urge to roll her eyes.
“That’s so weird,” Sunny mumbled. “I remember Junmyeon being a real sweet guy who never argued with anyone. I even joked about Minseok having to learn from him.”
“That’s definitely not the Junmyeon I know,” Eunha scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest.

“I really needed that spa treatment.” Eunha grinned while stretching her arms. “I feel rejuvenated.”
“It’s because I’m good at my job,” Sunny chirped with pride. “You should feel honoured, as the manager of this branch my services are reserved for VIP customers only.”
“So lucky of me,” Eunha replied monotonously, earning a glare from Sunny
The two best friends grabbed their belongings and were ready to head out for dinner when Eunha came to a halt, her eyebrows furrowing together upon seeing a familiar figure. Standing in the reception area was Jinah who was tapping her bright read heels impatiently against the ground. Just like the last time Eunha had seen her, Jinah was wearing an obnoxiously flashy leopard print coat and her nails were painted dauntingly red. It would appear that Jinah recognised her as well because she gave Eunha a saccharine smile when their gazes locked.
“You’re that doctor I saw last time,” Jinah commented while her eyes travelled around Eunha from head to toe, as if mentally rating her. “I knew I recognised you from somewhere; you’re a customer here. You look so different without those boring hospital scrubs.”
“She’s actually my friend,” Sunny interrupted.
Although she wore a pleasant and professional smile, Eunha knew from one look that Sunny was not enjoying their exchange at all. It was no secret that she had never been a fan of Jinah and never understood why Junmyeon had dated her — much less marry her — at all.
“What a small world,” Jinah gasped before turning towards Eunha. “My husband is a cosmetic surgeon here you see. You must know already though, I’m sure Junmyeon has mentioned it. He was never quite able to let go of the fact that I’ve sound someone who earns more than him.”
Sunny inhaled sharply, ready to pounce at the woman but Eunha grasped her elbow and held her back. Taking half a step forward, Eunha lifted her chin slightly and threw Jinah a side glance.
“Actually no. Junmyeon doesn’t really mention you. Our discussions are usually about more intellectual topics,” Eunha mused, imitating Jinha’s saccharine smile. “It was Minseok who told me by passing when he realised the connection with Kwon Beauty. Minseok, Sunny and I go way back you see?”
“Right yes, Sunny and Minseok used to date. I met her once back then…” Jinah replied uncertainly.
Jinah’s air of confidence dissipated and suddenly she found herself shrinking away from Eunha’s sharp gaze. Smirking in satisfaction, Eunha gave Jinah one final fake smile before pulling Sunny along and made their leave.
“That ruined what had been a relaxing and fun day,” Sunny grumbled once they reached the streets. “You let her go too easily.”
“She’s not worth my time,” Eunha replied without missing a beat.
Nonetheless, her mood had been soiled and was no longer in the mood for whatever activity her and Sunny had originally planned.
“Let’s ditch our origin
