I don’t know where these feelings are trying to lead me

I’m afraid of the second we meet

Yet I anticipate and wait for it

I no longer know what I’m trying to admit

I can’t speak around you

I’m afraid of the stupid things I’ll say and do

What if you don’t like me?

What if it was and never will be more than pure fantasy?

I can’t say the words because I’m unsure

For you…there is no cure

You’ve put me in a trance like no other

I’ve forgotten all others one after another

You’re the only one in my mind

Yet your position remains undefined

I don’t know what you think of me

My mind is captivated by you, yet yours seems completely free

I want to know what you know

So that my love can continue to grow

I want to see what you see

So I know how often you look at me

I want to hear what you hear

So I know whose voice is most clear

I do all that yet I’m still hesitant

So I remain silent

I become awkward

But slowly your thoughts are becoming unblurred

And with that I start to get new hope

Maybe my love isn’t a unrequited love

Maybe all I need in a light shove

Maybe all I need is right in front of me

Maybe all I need to do is open my mouth

Say those words I once could live without

Say those words so I have no doubt

Say it so I can be certain

Say it in any language, mine, yours, foreign

Say it soon, so I know I’m not wrong

Those words that will make me feel like I belong

Say it soon, so I can start anew
