Nearly 70 years ago an unexplainable virus broke out,  infecting about half of the population, leaving those affected in the "contaminated" category. This virus transformed the once considered normal citizens of our society into a blood-hungry beings.

After reconstructing the peril society, and beginning to study the contaminated, the government deemed them functionable, with minor altercations, and thus they were granted the ability to live amongst the humans. They hold normal jobs, live in normal houses, socialize with normal people. 

The only prominent, non-normal difference, besides that of their pale-bodied features, was the food intake. Blood, simple as that. And so the government fabricated artificially processed blood packaged in monthly supplies that would be handed out to maintain their cravings.

That's where I play into the situation. I’m just a curious twenty-three old who intern at the capital’s hospital, who is trying to study this virus and understand how it works. 

In every history book, this virus was written off as a mistake; an unexplainable unfortunate event, though I don't believe that. And I will do what it takes to uncover the buried truth that remains a secret.
