writing can be many things: an assignment, an outlet, an escape— whether you write with pen and paper or on a computer, whether you write just for school or for pleasure, writing is an integral part of our lives. it's the way we communicate, with social media, newspapers, text messages, and more.
but beyond that, you use writing to interact with strangers and friends every day on the internet, on platforms where your voice is just as anonymous as it is public. who doesn't utilize the internet for communication more than teenagers? they're told to spend less time glued to a phone, but it's just as easy to argue that there's just as much to say through a screen.
being online & offline each have their own unique sets of pros and cons, as proven by a group of high school students documenting this chapter of their lives through their own writing.
aka a memoir of high school, as told through various mediums of journals, emails, letters, podcasts, videos, and more.
