summit high school and the town of tolstone, california, as well as the address and phone number for summit high are fictional.
here's a peek into the setting of s:o! there are very few reviews in the actual rate my teacher section, but that's because i don't want to make.......208 faculty members lmao. anyway, as you can see, summit high is an asian majority school !!
tolstone is a generally wealthy suburban area of northern california and is a safe neighborhood. it has a large proportion of asians in general, and it wouldn't be out of place to see kids decked out with airpods pro, hydroflasks, and iphone 11 pros. summit high is one of four high schools in the district.
most of the students agree that there's no real sense of community within the school. the leadership class does their best to hold rallies and events, but most of the student body stays apathetic to the attempts to bring their school together.
summit high offers most ap & honors classes and has options to take ap classes online as well. when you're creating your character's schedule, keep this in mind and the maximum amount of classes you can take in a year is seven, average is six to seven classes a year! if you're a senior and you have enough graduation credits you can take 4/5 classes. many students also take courses at the local community college.
if you're confused about the american education system or have any questions about summit high's system, please feel free to comment or send me a pm!
