The Merman

(This is not the sequel, this is a bonus. I will post the sequel either tomorrow or the next day. I promise I will be writing all day tomorrow.)

(I don't know if I got every detail of a wedding right. I'm only a teenager.)

(The wedding is like a present one. I don't how a wedding is supposed to be with princes and kings. I hope this doesn't .)

"Your majesty, I have important news regarding your son," The merman told the King of The Sea.

"Have you located him yet? Where is he? Is he alive?" The king asked in desperation. It has been three years since Jinyoung left him and the palace, and he felt like he was going crazy mentally. Guilt and regret had instantly devoured him once his youngest son left. The last time he had saw his son was after his own hand had made contact with his cheek, and it eats him up everyday. The rest of his children, on the other hand, were mourning. They accepted that their brother was dead and moved on with their lives with a heavy heart. It still was hard to lose a sibling, especially the youngest one.

"You majesty, he is alive and well." The king almost cried in relief. He couldn't believe this. "Then please bring him to me." The king said. All he wanted was to see his son again, his precious son.

"I'm sorry, your highness, but we cannot." The king looked at the merman in confusion. "Why can't you?"

"Because, your majesty, he is on land with legs." The king suddenly felt light headed. He was on land? He was amongst the humans? He was a human too?

"We also have other news, if you would like to hear that now. I know this is hard to digest, your highness." The merman said.

"Y-yes, please tell me the other news." The king stuttered.

"Your son is also getting married and he directly contacted us in hopes for his family to come." That's when everything went black for the king.

**************

"Your highness, it's time to wake up." A servant called from outside his room. Jinyoung groaned and turned to his side only to feel an empty space beside him. His eyes shot open as he searched for his fiancé.

"Youngjae, do you happen to know where Mark went?" He called to his servant, who was still waiting patiently on the other side. "Come in as well and also call me Jinyoung." The door to his room opened and he was met with a bright smile.

"Good morning, Jinyoung, did you sleep well? I hope you did since today's a big day." Jinyoung looked at his servant was questioning eyes. "What is today, if I may ask?"

"Jinyoung! It's your wedding, today!" Youngjae scolded, but he still had a wide grin plastered on his face. After Jinyoung heard that, he sprung out of bed. He couldn't help the smile from forming.

"And his highness said something about the grooms can't see each other before the wedding. He's getting ready as we speak." Jinyoung smiled.

"Okay." Jinyoung suddenly stopped smiling for a second. "Youngjae, do you know any news about my family?" Youngjae gave him a look of sympathy. "I'm sorry. We haven't gotten a reply, but don't let that bring you down, your highness. Today's your big day."

"It's Jinyoung."

**************

Everyone had gathered on the huge ship that was decorated in white and blue for the occasion. People excitedly whispered to each other as they stood in the crowd, as there were no seats. Everyone had been looking forward to this day. People had taken a liking to Jinyoung over the past years. He was kind to the children, and helped in the orphanage in the village. He played with every kid there with no hesitation. He also went around helping the elderly without any thought, and he stood beside their prince as he prepared to become king. Everyone had already looked up to Mark and loved him with all of their hearts, so when he announced their relationship, they fully supported them. They all knew the two would make great rulers by each other's sides. Anyone could tell how greatly in love they were.

Mark stood at the alter with a wide smile on his face. He couldn't believe this was actually happening. He was finally going to marry the love of his life.

The prince was dressed in a a navy coat and pants, and his brown hair was swept to the side perfectly. His hands were clasped tightly in front of him as his stomach churned in anticipation. He felt hot and flushed, but nonetheless happy and excited. Jackson, his best man, stood beside him as he watched Mark turn into a nervous mess.

When the music finally started, a hush fell over the ship. The chosen groomsmen went down the aisle first. Jinyoung had asked Youngjae, his servant but best friend, and Yugyeom, who he had taken a liking to, to be his, and Mark had chosen two guys named Bambam and Jaebum that he was really close with. Then followed the ring bearer, who was Mark's favorite cousin, and then  the flower girl skipped down the aisle throwing white flower petals from her basket.

Once everyone was at the alter waiting, Jinyoung made his way down the aisle in a slow walk that was agonizing for Mark. Jinyoung wore a white suit that hugged him perfectly, and he had his hair styled so that his forehead showed. He was beautiful, in Mark's opinion, and no one could disagree.

Mark held his hand out once Jinyoung approached and the other gently placed his hand in it

Mark held his hand out once Jinyoung approached and the other gently placed his hand in it. "You look amazing," he whispered in Jinyoung's ear causing him to blush. The two stood facing each other while holding hands as they listened to the priest. The looked into each other's eyes as they both tried to hold back their tears of happiness.

"You may now say your vows."

"First of all, I would like to mention that I would not be alive if you never saved me from drowning that day. Since I was out of it, I couldn't make out your face, but I could hear your perfect and sweet voice. The voice that still calms and comforts me even to this day." Mark smiled as he squeezed Jinyoung's hands." I could hear you singing this song and it was like heaven to my ears. I sometimes wish I had saw your face that day, to make everything easier, but I am glad we found our love the way we did. You had sacrificed and gave up your life so that we could have a chance to be together, and I am eternally grateful. I could never be as brave and selfless as you, my love. Thank you for giving me a chance" Mark paused for a second trying to gather up the words he wants to say. "Now that I have you, I can't imagine a day without you." He lifted Jinyoung's hand to his lips and kissed his knuckles. "Without you I might as well die. You keep me going through the day, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you while being able to wake up and see your face as I grow old. I love you so much Jinyoung." Jinyoung was a crying mess by the time Mark's speech was over, and Mark just smiled as he wiped the tears away silently.

"O-oh my g-gosh. I wish I would have gone first." The crowd chuckled and Jinyoung smiled. "Where do I start.......I was never aloud to go to the surface when I grew up, but that never stopped me from being curious. It was one of those days when I was disobeying my fathers rules when I saved you. You were making your way to the floor of the ocean very fast and I knew that even if I got in trouble, I would still save you...and I did. And I never regret it one bit. I ran away from home after my father found out about it and that's when I made the deal. I never regret leaving the ocean, and I am so happy that I met you again. That we were given a chance to be together." Jinyoung stopped for a moment to wipe away one of Mark's stray tears. "Now that I think about it, we technically both saved each other from drowning." Mark smiled at the memory. "I loved you from the day I saw you, and my love only grew everyday we got to know each other. When the Sea Witch was about to take me away, you showed up. You saved me and you still save me again and again just by loving me. I love you so much and I want us to stand beside each other forever. I know there will be both ups and downs, but I believe we can get through anything together. Being able to love you was a blessing and you loving me back was a miracle." Mark gently shook his head as he disagreed with Jinyoung's last sentence.

"It isn't I who is a miracle, Jinyoung." He said.

"Do you, Prince Mark, take Jinyoung to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Mark smiled and looked Jinyoung right in the eye. "I do."

"Do you, Jinyoung, take Prince Mark to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do."

"Now for the rings."

The little boy stepped forward and Mark ruffled his hair. "Thank you," he said as he took the rings. He gave one to Jinyoung, and the priest started to speak again. Once Mark had slipped the ring on Jinyoung's finger and recited the words, Jinyoung did the same.

"Prince Mark, you may kiss the groom."

Mark cupped Jinyoung's face with his hands and closed the gap. It was a gentle kiss, enough for the two men to understand the love they have for each other. Once they pulled away, cheering was sounded throughout the boat.

**************

Jinyoung was talking to Youngjae when his husband tapped him on the shoulder. "Someone is here to see you, my love. You don't want to keep them waiting."

Jinyoung turned around and his father was sitting on the edge of the boat with his trident in his hand. "Father!"

Jinyoung jogged over to his father with a huge smile on his face. "You actually came!" Jinyoung felt tears build up in his eyes.

"I would never miss my own son's wedding." His father opened his arms wide and Jinyoung embraced him. "I missed you father, so much."

"I missed you too, my son." They continued to hug until someone cleared their throat behind them.

"Father, this is my husband, Prince Mark."

"Prince, huh?"

Mark bowed, "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, your majesty." Jinyoung's father smiled and went to open his arms again.

"You're apart of the family now, son. Thank you for looking after my own son when I couldn't." The king grabbed Mark and pulled him into a bone crushing hug.

Mark just smiled and laughed.

**************

"Father, I really am sorry that I left. Especially when I didn't tell anyone where I went." Jinyoung said when Mark went back claiming they needed some time to talk.

"I doesn't matter now. I am just so glad you found an amazing home, and I'm sorry I couldn't believe you back then. It was my fault you left......but I'm glad you found him. He's definitely a keeper." Jinyoung laughed at his father's choice of words.

"Your siblings miss you." His father said after a moment of silence.

"I miss them too. Will I ever get to see them again?" His father smiled. "You will soon, but make sure to tell your husband first." His father laughed.

"I will."

"I'll see you then, my son."

"Bye father, I love you and thank you so much for coming."

"I love you, too."

**************

"How did it go?" Mark asked once Jinyoung stood beside him after talking to his father.

"I had missed him so much." Jinyoung replied as he rested his head on his husbands shoulder. Mark swiftly wrapped his arm around Jinyoung's waist and pulled him closer. "We can always meet up with him again." Mark said after kissing the top of Jinyoung's head.

"I know. Thank you."

"Why are you thanking me?" Mark asked while chuckling.

"Thank you for loving me back." Jinyoung said as he raised his head to look Mark in the eye. "I wouldn't be here if you didn't." Mark smiled and leaned in to press a gentle and sweet kiss onto his husbands lips.

"I love you so much," Mark said before peppering Jinyoung's face with small kisses. Jinyoung started giggling and tried pushing Mark away. "I love you too." Jinyoung said with a huge smile after Mark stopped.

"Just think about everything we have ahead of us." Mark said with a smile.

"And I can't wait for it if I always have you by my side, my prince."
