FIRST ENCOUNTER

Kim Seoyeon was an heir of Kim Corporations. She was an eye candy and had the brains to “woo” everyone. Seoyeon was the youngest of her family, only having an older brother Kim Jongin or Kai. She always looked up to him, have graduated from an ivy league school and accomplished being one of the most well-known lawyers of the century not only for his looks but by how fast-paced and intelligent he was. Jongin, being the oldest, was supposed to take over after their father but an unexpected event happened, causing Seoyeon into an arranged marriage with her competitor, Byun enterprise.

“Absolutely not, I will not marry a man I don't know and also one that threatens our position” she stood in shock.

“You have no choice, Seoyeon. This will help build the company and our reputation.” her father spoke

“I'm starting to believe the reason why you have kids is because of money and fame.” she retorted

“I decided with CEO Byun that you will marry their son, Byun Baekhyun.”

“Appa!” she yelled

“And the wedding will be next month, that will give you enough time to get to know him by the time you'll be running this company along with Baekhyun.”

“But father..” Kai interrupted

“It's final, kai nothing more or less.”

“One month?! You didn't even let me have a say in this “marriage” and you expect me to grow on that bastard in a month.” her face was beet red and her tears were already falling along her cheeks. “Kai will help alongside you but won't have as much authority as you, Seoyeon.”

“This is bull, I should’ve just stayed in the states.” kai leaned back in his seat.

“Tonight, we will have a dinner with them and we will talk about this more on tonight.” he motioned for them to leave when he received a phone call and without hesitation, they both left the office in fumes. Seoyeon was stomping ahead when Kai grabbed her wrist.

“This is bull, old man thinks he can just do this.” he said to her

“And how do you think I feel? I'm about to marry a man I don't know and run a multi-billion dollar company” she sniffled.

“Look, he said yall are going to be married within a month, let's test the waters and if it's not to our likings we’ll run away to our favorite place” he rested his hands on her shoulders. She looked up and nodded, “promise, you won't leave me and that we’re in this together no matter what.” She stuck her pinky out and he wrapped his pinky locking it with their thumbs. “Promise now let's get you ready for tonight.” he giggled while interlocking his arm with hers skipping.

“Miss Seoyeon, I've brought you your dress for tonight's arrangements.” The maid spoke.

“How many times do I have to tell you Mrs.lee, just call me seoyeon, I feel old and I find it weird that you call me that considering you're a motherly figure to me.” she grabbed her dress from Mrs.lee’s hand and hung it on the rack and continued with her makeup.

“Doesn't our dearest ‘seoyeon’ look beautiful, now all we have to do is put the dress on and you'll shine brighter than the sun.” Mrs.lee complemented
