i had hoped that time stops ticking as everything was slowly falling apart. like a little child picking up blocks that was previously aligned on top of each other, but got kicked over that scattered on the ground. like a perfect lego sculpture that once was perfect but now broken. but those things are easy to fix. the gruesome scene that is happening in front of me was nowhere near fixable.
“w-wait, hold on tighter, heeyeon.” my sobs were just the only thing heard throughout the now abandoned warehouse. “heeyeon, i said ing hold on! jessica is on her way! i can’t lose you here. i can’t lose you now.” hands bloody and shirt dirty. my hands pressing harder on the older girl’s side, trying to stop the bleeding. her right hand found its way to my face, making me look at her. her eyes were half-lidded, daring to close and never open again. she smiled softly at me as my tears ran down my face. i felt like drowning. like the sand in an hour glass was slowly killing and drowning me painfully slow.
“i love you, jeong.”
and her eyes closed, hand falling and lifeless.
the hour glass ran out of sand, drowning me in sadness.
