Proposal
The Bro CodeMoonbyul didn't expect to see Yongsun and Hyejin at the same cafe as she is. She wanted to leave as soon as she saw them but her feet weren't moving. She takes comfort in being able to freely stare at Youngsun. She missed her. She missed her not because she doesn't see her - she always sees her. But she always has to keep her distance, to avoid any issues with Minhyuk.
And she knows that she's not crazy...but the longing that she's feeling -her intense longing for Yongsun - it feels as if she's slowly going insane.
Before her thoughts go elsewhere she stops herself. She decides to leave the cafe.
"Unnie!" she hears Hyejin say before she could turn her heels and walk away.
She turns her head at Hyejin, who was excitedly waving at her. Moonbyul curses under her breath before walking towards their table.
"Unnie! Come sit with us. We haven't been able to catch up." Hyejin says hugging Moonbyul and then pulling a chair to offer to Moonbyul.
"I'd love to, but I-" Moonbyul starts, thinking of a reason to excuse herself. Looking at Yongsun before quickly redirecting her gaze elsewhere.
"Time's up!" Hyejin exclaimed, "No more excuses." she says, pushing Moonbyul down to sit with them, seeing through Byul's attempt at lying.
Hyejin sits down with a victorious smile plastered on her face as she clasps her hand together on top of the table. "So...how have you been?"
Moonbyul shakes her head at Hyejin's stubbornness. She shrugs her shoulders as she raises her hands. "Same old, same old."
"You mean to tell me, you're still collecting people's hearts?" Hyejin asks. Moonbyul and Yongsun can't help but steal a glance at each other before quickly looking away.
"What?" Moonbyul asked back, "I do not do that." she insists, but she was only met with Hyejin's unamused expression. "...not anymore, at the very least." Byul caved in.
"Well, that's good-" before Hyejin could continue speaking, her phone rang. "Oh. It's my mom." she tells them, pointing at her phone before standing up. "Excuse me for a minute, I'll just take this." she says before heading out to the restroom, leaving Moonbyul and Yongsun in awkward silence.
"How have you been?" Yongsun was the first one to break the silence. It's funny that she had to ask since they always see each other at the twin's house, or in school.
Byul finds it funny as well so she laughs lightly, but she still answers the question. "I'm okay. You?"
Yongsun's not quite sure if she should give her an honest answer. She's not sure how long it would be before they'd be able to talk like this again. "I miss you."
Luckily, Byul wasn't drinking anything yet, or else she would've spat it out in surprise. However, she suddenly felt thirsty hearing what Yongsun just said. How does one react to such a confession?
She said it so casually as if it's the most normal thing in the world. But nothing is normal between them. Everything is...complicated. So even though Byul misses her too, she contemplates whether to say it back.
"Well, I'm glad you miss me too." Yongsun said sarcastically
