"Ma I'm going I'm late for the audition!" Dara, 20, running from her bedroom towards the door. She's a budding model and despite her height (5'4) to be exact,she has co-starred in commercials on TV and some print ads in the past but her dream is to walk down the Paris Fashion week in style. And this is an important day to prove herself worthy. PeaceMinusOne is the top fashion clothing outlet in Korea and is looking for models for their streetstyle collection. 

"Hep hep hep young lady drink your milk first, you are not allowed to walk past that door without drinking your milk! Now Dara!!!" Mommy Park placed her hands on her waist to emphasize her words. Dara stopped a few steps away from the door and pivoted back to the kitchen. Despite her age being the only girl in the family she remains to  be mama's girl. 

"Done Ma!" She drank her milk in one straight gulp and placed he mug on the table. 

"Okey good luck darling, don't forget to smile and sway your hips so it would look big okey?

"Yah Ma!" she kissed her mom on the forehead and ran towards the door. Her petite figure makes her look like a baby girl and not the full grown woman that she is. But her angelic face and brilliant smile covers for her lack of height and big hips that more often is important in her chosen career. 

She arrived at the venue where a very long cue of pretty, tall, some y some slim candidates for the post are qued outside the hall of the ballroom of the hotel. She was surprised by the way everybody was dressed in formal, ramp worthy clothes. She was wearing white shirt, rippled pants and her signature adidas rubber shoes because they said its street clothes that they're supposed to wear. She even wore a red cap with a palm tree embroidered on top. She did the embroidery herself and was quite proud of it. She felt so out of place but her level of confidence helps her to maintain composure. 

"I'm pretty, I'm confident, I will make it!!!!" she whispered to herself as she waited for her turn to be called.

The candidates come in the rooms in fives and are asked to stand in front of several cameras and huge lighting effects. More often pictures are taken by two to three photographers and the outcome helps determine who will be chosen. The shots are often shared with the models after the shoots (assuming the photographer allows it) which they use as part of their personal portfolio later on.
