It is interesting how people make you feel.

One minute you are at the top of the world

The next you come crashing down

Because of their words

Their actions

 

When I see you smile

The edges of your kissable lips inching up

Your smile reaches your eye

And I watch as your eyes start to form crescents

I like your eyes

Your monolids

 

You share about yourself

Your family

And I find myself falling deeper

 

But I find myself asking more

Wanting to know you more

Then you seem to

Want me

 

I struggle to understand you

To catch your eye wasn’t easy

Especially when they were so focused on someone else

 

When you brushed me by

I felt hurt

I wanted to grab on to you

To make you stay

And have you by my side

 

I know I am not what you need

But you are what I was looking for

I seek you

While you pursue someone else

 

Though I pulled away

You did not seem to notice

Hurts to know that I meant nothing ar all

But better rhat I know now then never

 

And so

I gave up

It is hard chasing someone who doesn’t feel the same way

Who doesn’t even know

It was nice while it lasted

Though it was a one way from my end
