I immediately open my eyes.

 

 

 

Confusions filled my mind as I saw two old couples standing in front of me. 

 

 

 

"She's awake.."

 

I heard the old lady said.

 

 

I don't know what my expression was.

 

 

"Are you alright young lady?"

 

 

I just look at them. I can't speak. Who are these two?

 

 

 

"I think she's not alright, Kevs... She looks shock."

 

 

 

The girl was about to approach me, but then I immediately move backward.

 

 

"W-Who are you?"

 

 

At last I got my tongue back.

 

 

The old lady smiled at me.

 

 

 

"I'm Loda and this is my husband Kelv."

 

 

I look once again at them.

Infinity Mountain is the blessed mountain. On the other hand, according to the myth, this was destroyed out of the unknown power during the Joseon Dynasty.

What's happening... I was just in the library a while ago, For God's sake I'm on year 2018 and now I'm here on the Joseon Dynasty.

 

 

I saw the couples are about to leave since I'm not responding to their question. I then immediately ran and hold old Loda.

 

"C-Can I come with you?"

 

Loda looks into my eyes.

 

 

"Are you lost?

 

 

"Y-Yes... I really don't know where am I."

 

 

Loda looks at me then smiled.

 

 

"No problem, Just come with us. You can stay in our home. But, you need to change first your dress young lady."

 

"Huh?"

 

I look at myself, I'm wearing sleeveless, jeans, and sneakers which is too different to their habeok.

 

"Here wear this one. I brought this one to the market and I think this will fit you."

 

"Is it alright?"

 

Loda smiled sincerely, I can't help but to smile also at her.

 

 

"Thank you."

 

I wore the habeok given to me. It's just a simple pink habeok.

 

The couples smiled at me once again. 

 

I don't know if it's right to join them. But at this moment, there's no choice but to trust some. I used to be alone. But for now, I think that will not be applicable, knowing that I'm not on my world anymore.

 

"Let's go." Old Kelv says

 

We started walking in the forest. It's dark and the only thing that gives light to the place is the full moon. The moon which is so bright.

 

 

"Young Lady, may I know your name?"

 

 

"I-I'm Sandara Park."

 

"Sandara. That's a unique name young lady. To which kingdom do you come from?"

 

Old Kelv looks at me and I don't know what to say. Kingdom? What Kingdom are they talking about?

As I about to explain myself, we hear loud thuds of horses coming our way.

 

 

My God... I saw a lot of men holding swords on their hands. 

 

I feel afraid once again.

A loud voice behind those men orders the soldiers.

 

Old Loda and Old Kelv immediately bows their heads. And I, still on my spot, standing, confuse on what is happening.

 

 

"Give way to the guardians." one of the soldiers announced.

 

All the soldiers went on side, and five men wearing different emblems show up. I don't know why, but then there's their aura which tells me that they are high ranking officials.

 

"You! Why are you not bowing your head to us?"

 

I was consumed once again of over thinking, that I didn't notice that one of the 5 men they called guardians is now in front of me.

 

 

"Why would I?"

 

 

It's not that I'm rude, but why would I bow to strangers.

 

 

"Young lady I think you really want to end your life huh?"

 

"End my life? Are you a murderer?"

 

I saw the irritation on the face of this man I'm talking to.

 

"What?"

 

"Seungri stop that. It's not our reason of coming here."

 

the tallest guardian speaks and looks at me. As I about to speak once again, Loda hold my hand, telling me to stop talking.

 

"I'm sorry, she's a little sick today."

 

 

"Tsk... what manner of a lady is that."

 

 

"Seungri I said enough."

 

 

I can see the blazing eyes of the tallest guardian.

 

 

"what is your purpose of coming to this mountain guardians?" Kelv then ask.

 

"We're looking for unknown creature here."

 

The guy they called Seungri speak once again.

 

"Unknown Creature?" Loda ask confusely

 

Unknown creature, my .. there's no UFO in time of Joseon Dynasty.

 

 

"We're looking for a person who came from different time."

Are they talking about me?

 

I then look to the one who spoke. He's intimidating eyes is looking at the Loda and Kelv.

 

"Do you see what we're looking for?"

 

I don't know why, but I think the coldness filled again my body because of nervousness. There's something inside me saying that I'm in danger.

 

 

"I'm sorry Guardian Kwon, but how can we identify that person is the one your looking for."

 

My hands started to tremble.

 

"She's different in everything. According to the Priestess, she can be easily identified since she has different manner and somehow lost."

 

I can't speak. I she describing me? 

 

I glance at Loda and Kelv and I think that they also realize that I might be that person these men are looking to.

 

 

"Now, do you see her?"

 

 

No... Please say no...

 

 

"Hey old man, the guardians are asking you."

 

 

Old Kelv looks at me then to the guardians.

 

"I'm sorry guardians, but I saw none."

 

 

I'm sure that the way old Kelv looks at me, he already has the idea that I am the one that the guardians are looking for.

 

 

I try to calm first myself, but it's too hard. I'm still on bowing position, afraid to look at the guardians that they might notice something different about me.

 

 

"Are you sure?"

 

 

The big voice of the guardian resonated to my ears. I try to hide my hands for I know it can't stop trembling.

 

 

"Yes, Guardians. If ever that we will see that unknown creature, we'll immediately inform you."

 

 

I sigh... God... I think I'm safe now

 

 

 

"But, who's this girl? She has a different manner."

 

 

What now? I thought I'm safe. You guardian Seungri, what's your problem?

Old Loda is about to continue what she is saying, when I heard Guardian Kwon.

No... Dara... she is not talking to you, just stay your to position. Since you are in bowing position just pray to all Gods to let you be safe..

As I am praying something touches my chin. 

 

I opened my eyes and was horrified on what I saw, a shining metal is on my chin.

 

I felt like my saliva will be dried at no time.

 

Slowly, the metal move up and I have no choice but to follow it or else I will cut myself.

 

The metal then stop, but the beat of my hearts continued to hammer me.

 

"When I order you, you have no choice but to follow."

 

 

I can sense the coldness in his voice. No it's not only his voice that is cold, but also his eyes.

 

 

This cold blooded man, how can you point a sword to a woman. 

 

 

 

"Now tell me. Who are you?"

 

 

I can't speak for I don't know what will I say.

 

 

"Will you tell me who you are or I will cut you into pieces?"

 

"Guardian Kwon, she is..."

Old Loda tries to engage herself to the commotion but this cold blooded Kwon stops her.

 

 

I breathed deeply.. there's no escape on this situation.

"Sandara?"

 

 

I can see the confusion on the face of the 4 guardians standing at the back of this Guardian Kwon.

 

 

"It's my first time to hear that name. What Kingdom are you from?"

 

  What Kingdom will I say? I don't know any Kingdom on this dynasty. 

 

 

 

 

"I-I'm..."

 

 

 

 

I was so helpless. Will it be the end of my life. His sword is now lowering on my neck. I was on the verge of my tears when old Kelv speaks.

 

 

"Guardian Kwon, I'm sorry for being a disrespectful one to engage to your agenda, but please stop harassing my daughter."

 

"She's your daughter?"

 

 

"Yes she is."

 

Daughter? Me? I look at old Kelv, she is looking intently to this cold blooded man?

 

 

"Are you not hiding something old man?"

 

 

This Guardian Seungri is really trying to dig things.

 

 

"No, Guardians. Sandara is really our daughter. It's just that she has gotten to accident which let her forget a lot of things. She is still on the process of recovery. I'm really sorry for her disrespectful attitude. Please forgive her."

 

 

I saw old Kelv bows once again to the Guardians.

 

 

Kwon looks at him and then back at me. I don't know why but as he looks at me, it's as if he is trying to know what's running on my mind. My sweat started to fall from my forehead.

 

the metal on my neck was then pulled out by this Guardian Kwon. But still, I can't move on my spot.

 

 

"Make sure that what you are saying is true."

 

 

"My husband is saying the truth Lord Kwon."

 

 

Old Loda then come to my direction and assisted me to stand.

 

 

In my peripheral vision, I know that Guardian Kwon is still looking at me which put another round of shivers to my body.

 

 

"Let's go."

 

 

"What? We'll just leave this ill-mannered like that?"

 

This Guardian Seungri continues to complaint but then immediately stop when he sees the cold eyes of their leader. 

 

The Guardians then leave us... They passed by, but I still look at my hands afraid of having eye contact with them.

 

 

When I'm sure that they're far from us, I look at old Loda and old Kelv.

 

 

"T-Thank Y-You."

 

"No need to say that Sandara."

 

 

"But why did you help me?"

 

I'm just curious. I know that they already know that I'm that those Guardians are looking for.

I can't help it but to smile with tears in my eyes.
