To the world (Jennie discovers after many hours of intense Instagram stalking), she is known as Rose the travelling photographer. To Jennie’s amazement, the girl is only 1 year younger than her. A woman with unrivaled creativity and fiery charisma all contained in a y body, the subject of many tabloids and suitors alike.
Jennie decides that she likes Chaeyoung a whole lot better (after getting lost too many times in those damn brown eyes). A humble small town girl from Australia whose smile rivals the sweetness of their forgotten macchiato is then imprinted into her life.
It is late evening when they are done chatting, and Chaeyoung offers to walk a reluctant Jennie home (“It’s late at night and you’re new here. The least I can do is walk you to the place you’re staying.”). As they parade through the dark streets of Paris, the older girl casually interlocks their fingers and playfully swings wide arcs to time the companionable silence. Before long, the dreaded light coming from the lobby of Jennie’s hotel comes into view.
As Jennie turns to say goodnight, she feels those soft lips brush hers tentatively. She takes Jennie’s slow reciprocation as an okay, Chaeyoung applies just the right amount of pressure to take Jennie’s breath away.
