re:memoriesJennie boards the late flight to Paris, worry mingling with fear as she sees the dark clouds creeping into the Seoul nightline. The mere thought of flying made her stomach churn worse than eating burnt pancakes on a Valentine’s day morning (courtesy of her prankster of an older sister, Jisoo). She gently pulls out a photograph from her coat pocket, her gaze turning affectionate as she looks over details already memorized by heart: city night lights and intimacy.
“Beautiful.” A whisper and the shutter of a camera lens scatter Jennie’s thoughts. A stranger carefully sets a bag in the overhead bin before sitting next to her, causing Jennie to do a quick onceover.
Wavy light hair, snowy skin, luscious lips, inquisitive brown eyes with a flair of rebellion. She notices a rather expensive camera hanging around the mysterious girl’s neck.
Wait a second…
“Did you take a picture of me?” Jennie catches her breath when she gets a full frontal view of possibly the most ethereal woman she has ever seen. The blonde chuckles.
“Sorry, you were too beautiful to waste. I have a taste for nostalgia these days.” The photographer nods at the forgotten picture clutched tightly in Jennie’s hand. “Is that a family member?”
Jennie flushes; She’s not used to compliments. She tucks the picture thoughtfully back in its home, in the pocket above her heart, before nodding.
