Teach Me
The Reason BehindAuthor POV
The boys had been keeping an eye on the eldest noting that he wasn’t himself. Something had to have happened the night before that had to be troubling him all day. And being brothers, they had to help him out of his problem.
“You alright hyung?” Yoochun began, scooting closer to him on the couch Jaejoong was sitting on.
Jaejoong snapped from his reverie, eyes leaving the suddenly exciting to look at wall and fell over the speaker, “I’m sorry, what?” He verified, brows raising as he tilted his head towards Yoochun
“I asked if everything is alright”
“What makes you think something is wrong with me?”
“We didn’t ask if something is wrong with you but asked whether something is wrong”
Jaejoong stiffened. No, he wasn’t reading to spill anything to the boys and now he had just had a slip of tongue!
“Hyung” Junsu took a concerned step towards Jaejoong, “Is everything alright with you?”
Jaejoong heaved a sigh, eyes momentarily shut contemplating with himself as to whether he should tell them last night’s happenings.
“You know if it was a rough one night stand, maybe we could-” Junsu abruptly stopped his statement meeting Jaejoong’s murderous eyes.
“Ok. Got it. No one night stand.” Junsu immediately backed away, raising his hand midway to mimic surrendering, “Glad to know you are still a hyung”
As shocking as it sounds, Jaejoong has never took the liberty of experiencing the pleasures of the body. At the peak of his youth, given his looks and status in society, he could have any girl in his bed but no! Never had he initiated anything intimate with any woman in his life.
Firstly, due to his job, he can’t help but be very careful with the people he interacts with, especially with the females since it takes only one photograph interpreted in the wrong way to ruin all his hard work. But that wasn’t the only reason – it was an important one, but not the actual reason.
Like any hopeless romantic, Jaejoong too wishes to give his first time to the girl he truly loves – someone who is yet to enter his life.
The boys, though they understand his reasons, tend to every now and then, and today happened to be one of those eventful days.
Jaejoong stood up, making sure to bump shoulders with the maknae and walked away. Arms crossed, face stern, he stopped by the glass window of the hotel room. Just like Ayana had informed he feels nothing out of the ordinary except for the fact that he could hear what people were speaking within a radius of at least half a mile, be strong enough to break through doors, and most importantly detect if an individual is human or supernatural.
He was sure that this was just the beginning of the powers he was to obtain. He didn’t actually mind those but dreaded the transformation into a werewolf. A man in his position, being observed almost 24 hours each day CANNOT afford something like that!
OH GOD! IT WILL TARNISH EVERYTHING!
On his way back to the hotel Jaejoong managed to read something on werewolves in the Internet, and from the likes of the lore it seems that transformation can happen during the full moon or, dreadfully every night.
The very thought of him turning each night brought a shiver down his spine.
He had to do something, which only meant that he had to meet the very lady he vowed not to see again.
Ayana meanwhile made her comfortable over the wall, her brown eyes glued over the girl on the bed. She had come to the hospital with the elder wolf, eager to know more of the girl.
“Beautiful, isn’t she?” The elder broke the silence, her lips creaking a smile, “She complements our prince in every way”
“But Didi, are you sure she is the one?”
The elder was taken aback by her question. “Of course she is! You think I wouldn’t remember her?!” She shouted, her voice, though weak was stern.
An unexpected silence enveloped the thickening atmosphere as the elder watched Ayana walk towards the bed and stand by her.
“So she is the witch who cursed our whole race?”
“She is the girl who will bring us redemption”
Ayana smiled. She knows that the elders were waiting for this day to come but shockingly, she wasn’t very excited about it. Sleeping right opposite to her was the girl who supposedly cursed her whole race because their princess killed the love of her life, who, in this birth, almost died trying to save her.
Something didn’t add up.
“But why did the princess kill him in the first place Didi?” Ayana questioned, “I’ve been asking this forever but none of you answered it”
“That’s immaterial now. Let’s just get the two of them together and break the curse”
Her sharp words brought another moment of silence, allowing soft whisper of the air freshener push out the flowery fragrance be heard. But Ayana had too many unanswered questions and one seemed to be more burning than the rest.
“Do you think she knows my mother?” She asked, “Think she’ll remember her? Can I ask her about my mother?”
Her questions were putting the elder at unease. Out of all the werewolves it had to be Ayana to find Jaejoong – it had to be her to change him – it was something the elders never imagined would happen.
