Chapter Fourteen: Jihyo's Story
DON'T LET ME GOJihyo' s Point of View
After Jihyo left Jeongyeon and Nayeon alone, I appeared in the tree house that is a kilometer away from the house itself. It was old and worn out, it was made by my dad when I was young. Looking around the place inside, there are dusts, webs, and spiders everywhere. I'm still planning having this tree house a make over, at least I might give it though.
“How long has it been?” I asked underneath my own breath, picking up a broken family frame of me and my relatives. They got perished, a few hundred years, I think. I forgot, dad and I survived and yet. “Hey dad, I miss you.”
He was killed fourteen years ago, underneath this tree house. She sat underneath the tree and leaned her back, looking up to the dimmed sky as the wind blew that made the leaves detached from the branches as it slowly made their way down, she held up her hand to catch one. Suddenly tears brimmed her eyes, Jihyo had let them roll down her cheeks, reminiscing every bit of her past.
Like Momo, she lost how long has she has been living on the world where everything dies. Looking at the dried up leaf, she balled her hands into a fist and crushed the leave almost to dust. Jihyo looked over to the tombstone of her family, she softly smiled and got up. Placing her hand on the bark of the tree before leaning in as she pressed her forehead against it, speaking using her old language that has been long forgotten with the world.
“Eonnie, We need you about something.” a voice had interrupted her thoughts before she turned around to face her friend; Chaeyoung. “Is it time?
Where's Momo and Mina?” she asked, dustingoff her hands. Chaeyoung looked at Dahyun who was beside her looking at the old tree, Jihyo smiled and walked up to them. Chaeyoung tapped Dahyun's shoulder to get her attention that it is time to go. In a blink of an eye all three girls
