That Cold Wall Called Fate

We aren't meant for each other.

It's so obvious, I'm about to give up. From the first time we made eye contact to our first kiss, we only thought that we were the perfect match. But we were wrong. Oh, we were so, so wrong.

Our relationship can't be changed. We belong with other people. I belong to the man I'm going to be engaged to soon, and you belong with the woman who was once your childhood friend. You know it. You know it better than me.

So that's why we aren't meant for each other.

 

But one day -- just one day -- we might be able to fly and press against that cold wall called fate.

Foreword

You and Myungsoo were the perfect couple. No one could separate you through middle school all the way through high school. You two matched, and you two knew it very well. Of course, you thought that you and Myungsoo were the perfect couple, but it seemed that fate had other plans for you.

Myungsoo's childhood friend, Suzy, returned from her studies in Busan. She reunited with Myungsoo, and it seems as if she has a small crush on him. If Suzy was a huge problem to deal with, she shouldn't be. Your parents are thinking about having an arranged marriage with a stranger named Minho so that they could have enough money to pay off their debt.

Life just got more hectic, and every time you tried to spend some time with Myungsoo, things just seemed to go wrong on purpose. 

The Characters

► You: This story will go through your point of view. You love Myungsoo dearly, and it seems so hard to just let him go. You know that it's fate for you to let Myungsoo go, and it seems as if Myungsoo knows that, too. However, you believe that you should just hold onto him a bit more longer until it's the right time to let him go. The only question is: Will Myungsoo agree to let go?

► Myungsoo: He's sweet, mysterious, and full of surprises. Why wouldn't he be the perfect boyfriend? You know that he loves you as much as he does, or maybe more! He seems to know that one day the two of you will have to part, though, but he believes that he can go against fate and be with you. He's good friends with Suzy, and fortunately doesn't have any more feelings for her.

► Minho: The charismatic, rich boy who's willing to help your family out through an engagement. You don't know if he loves you or not, but you can tell that he is interested in you. He seems to dislike Myungsoo, but at the same time, is willing to become friends with him. He loves to shower you with his money, and believes that money is the only source that makes people happy.

► Suzy: She's not that bad for a girl, and is Myungsoo's childhood friend. In fact, you really admire her because she can sing and can dance. The only part that you're jealous of her is that she seems to know Myungsoo more than you. You can tell that she has a crush on Myungsoo because she blushes whenever she's near him.
