Illuminae
Description
This is a story about how the guardian of light learned to understand the darkness.
Foreword
"You don't get it," his eyes were dark. Any trace of light that once occupied them was now gone, "I can't be like that, I can't be like you. People like me weren't made for sunshine. People like me were made for the rain."
"There's always hope. You can come back. You can try. You can keep trying until things become lighter. You can live. That's the thing about light," the guardian's voice was stronger now. Stonger than it had been since he left his home in the clouds. "It shines brightest in the dark."
