PROLOGUE

A Sign of an Approaching Storm

(Key’s P.O.V)

I gulped as I stare hard at the little boy sitting down on my couch. The child was taken here by someone from my cousin, Shin Se Kyung’s manager. He said that my cousin vanished yesterday leaving her 5-year old son to my care, I tried to ask who the father was but he just said that he doesn’t know who it is.

After the manager left I found a little note inside the little boy’s pocket pleading me to take care of boy and at the same time keep the secret that the boy’s father was none other than Se Kyung’s ex-boyfriend, famous singer-actor Kim Jonghyun. I heaved a deep sigh, I didn’t even know that she had a relationship with that guy. The kid’s already here so I don’t have any choice but to just take care of him until my cousin had the courage to come back and stop hiding.

“U-uh… hi?” I smiled and asked the little boy uncertainly. He raised his head at me and gave me the sweetest smile that I had ever seen in my whole life. The little boy’s chinky eyes went into two slits when he smiled.

“hello!” He cheerfully greeted me back, He seems like a cheerful and bubbly child. And he definitely got his father’s smile. I always see Jonghyun on the tv, and I’m not mistaken that the little guy got his smile.

“What’s your name little guy?”

He bobbed his head at me making his mid-long brownish hair into a mess before laughing heartily. “My name’s Jinki…” he paused then giggled. “but my mommy call me by ‘Onew’, she said its because it sounds cute.” Little Onew gave me a very bright smile afterwards.

I smiled. “Hello Onew” I held my hand out to him then he shook it while giggling. “My name’s Kim Kibum, I’ll be the one who will be taking care of you while you mommy is still away. So just call me Key-hyung or just simply Hyung.” The little guy nodded his head cutely at me.

“Nice to meet you, Key-hyung!” Onew grinned again at me then he frowned making his little forehead into a scrunched. “Are you my daddy?”

I smiled sadly and patted his head. “Sorry little guy, I’m not your daddy. I’m your mom’s cousin.”

“Oh” I heard a hint of sadness on his little voice. “I thought ahjusshi will take me to my daddy. ” The little boy pouted. I felt a little pity for him, the poor guy wants to meet his father and he just can’t do it.

I sighed and hugged him gently. “Don’t worry, Hyung will find your Daddy for you. Araso?”

Onew raised his head and bobbed it at me. “Really? You’ll find him for Onew?” He grinned again brightly when I nodded my head at his question. “Thank you hyung!” He hugged me tightly his hands not even reaching each other.

I chuckled. “No Problemo!”

Onew surprised me when he broke the hug and stood up in front of me, I can’t help but notice that he got good genes from his parents. “Then hyung will be my best, best, best friend!”

I chuckled again at how cute this little guy is. “Okay, then Onew will also be my best, best, best friend from now on.”

“Yay!” The little boy jumped up and down. I laughed hard when I heard a grumble sound.

“Is it your cute little baby tummy?” I smirked and , Onew pouted.

“Nope! Its Mr. chickee!” I laughed so hard when he showed me a stuffed chicken doll and acted as if he was lecturing the poor yellow animal plushie. “Mr. Chickee said he won’t do it again.” He even smiled at me cheekily. I laughed again so hard his cute pitchy laugh joining mine.

We both went silent when another grumbled was heard, he looked at me then at his plushie. “Is it Mr. Chickee again?” he asked cutely.

I grinned back brightly at him. “Nope, this time its me.”

He laughed and hugged the animal plushie tightly. “U-uh…”

“Do you want to say anything?”

“Can we…” I got what he was just about to say when another grumble came from the cute boy’s tummy. “eat?” he asked as his face was flustered. Maybe we have to eat breakfast now.

I smiled at him and scooped him in my arms, I patted his head as I carry him. “What does Mr. tummy want to eat?”

“Chicken!”

I laughed so hard at his cuteness. “Chicken it is, little boss!” he laughed with me when I jokingly saluted at him.

“To the kitchen!” I said cheerfully as I walked towards my kitchen.

“To the kitchen!” I chuckled when he repeated what I said but this time with his hand motioning / pointing to my kitchen

I think it won’t be hard to take care of a bubbly and cute child like Onew, my only problem is how would I supposedly tell Kim Jonghyun about his son?

A/N: hello everyone!... sorry if I didn’t update on the BEMC fanfic of mine… I just thought that I’ll write first the prologue of my next JongKey w/little!Onew story *’cos the idea had been on my head for quite sometime now that it made me worry that I will one day forget about it…* don’t worry I’ll keep on updating on this both chapters… *but I may stop for a while on my YMPA one*… well… I hope to know what you think about this new fic… *uses puppy dog eyes* I need your comment for this… comment okay?... *I’m still worried about it*
