“What’s with the bracelet?” Hani asked as LE helped her wear the bracelet that she gift Hani.

“Do you like it?” LE asked sweetly after putting on the bracelet for Hani. It was a ring with their initials embedded on the inside. On the outside is a little pretty diamond.

“Yeah, thank you.” Hani smiled and was busy looking at the bracelet.

“I have it as a necklace.” LE pulled out her necklace to show Hani.

The younger woman knows what LE is trying to do. She feels bad for making Hani wait for her, so she often tries to do things to make up for that. No matter how many times Hani assured her that she’ll wait, LE will always feel bad.

They ate their desserts in silence and Hani noticed the older woman looked very tired. She put down her utensils and lifted LE’s chin.

Hani caressed LE’s face, “You look very tired.”

LE smiled and held Hani’s hand. “I’m okay, don’t worry.”

“Y’know, this isn’t going to help Solji unnie in any way. If you keep spending time with her it’s just going to make her love for you grow even stronger.” Hani retracted her hand from LE’s.

LE sighed, she didn’t know what to do or say. She’s trying not to hurt both women. Solji is her family, one that she’ll always love. Hani is her soon-to-be lover, most probably the one she’ll want to settle down with. So, no matter what she does, she’ll hurt one of them and she’s trying her best, it just never seems to be enough for the both of them. “Then what do you suggest I should do?”

Hani let out a confident smile, “Let me help you. Let me befriend Solji unnie.”

“What? Are you crazy?”

“No, I’m serious. Let’s all hang out together, let her know that someone is waiting for you. She might be able to accept the fact that we’re in love. LE, please.”

“I don’t know. I need to think about it. It’s a big step, okay? Solji unnie is not ready for that.”

LE was deep into sleep when she felt her phone buzz. She usually turns on the airplane mode, so she could get her undisturbed sleep but ever since she promised to help Solji move on from their relationship, she just left it on silent and vibration mode just in case the older woman needs her in the middle of the night.

She thought she was just dreaming, so she didn’t bother to check her phone. Not until her phone kept buzzing for the nth time. LE got frustrated and when she finally wants to pick up the call, a text message arrived on her phone instead.

[Hani] Hey, this is Hani’s friend Arin

[Hani] She got kinda drunk

[Hani] And your phone number is the only contact in her ‘Favorite’

[Hani] So I figured I should call you

[LE] Ah, it’s no problem

[LE] Where is she?

[Hani] We’re at Hongdae

[Hani] She kept calling your name, so I guess she wants to see you

[LE] Thanks, I’ll be there in fifteen minutes!

With that, LE got up and changed out of her pyjamas. On one hand, LE was thankful that it wasn’t Solji who called her. The last time she checked when Solji called her in the middle of the night, she was crying buckets. But on another hand, LE was worried sick about Hani. They drank several times together, but Hani usually controls herself well with liquor. When Hani gets drunk, LE could only think of the worst.

When LE arrived outside the club they were at, Hani was sitting on the floor hugging the pole. The older woman rushed out of the cab to pick her up.
