I can't help but feel like...

you never even existed...

because in reality,

happiness as genuine as I felt...

is non-existent.

Yet in the back of my mind echoes,

of times much simpler than these,

the softer of my dreams,

words spoken so clearly,

fresh within my mind,

as if you were right beside me,

as if everything I had once known was but a mere scratch over a record,

all I could hear was you,

on endless repeat,

the same three words,

endless in your soft voice.
