4 Years Later

Jessi's P.O.V.

''What did you get yourself into this time, Jessi?'' - I heard Tiffany's voice as she walked inside the room

''This wasn't that serious, believe me''- I said

''I would believe you if you wouldn't be bleeding''- Tiffany said glaring at me

''It's just a scratch''- I said as I tried to take her hand, but she snatched it away from me

''Let me work''- She said with the same glare I didn't say anything else, I let her do her job

We were in silence for ten minutes until she was done stitching  my head

''Hey!''- I spoke up softly, she wasn't glaring at me anymore but she wasn't looking at me either 

''Talk to me''- I said again softly after I knew I won't get a response, this time she looked at me in the eyes and it broke my heart to see her with tears in her eyes

''Hey, don't cry! I'm okay!''- I said as I pulled her into my chest, she just sobbed into my shirt

We stayed like that for a few seconds, until she calmed down enough to speak

''You can't leave me! Leave us!'' - she said as she looked at me

''I won't I promised you''- I said

''How can you say that when you look like this''- she said raising her voice

''I know! I'm sorry, I will be more careful''- I said

''That's what you said last time I stitched up your arm''- she said making her point clear, I just sighed

''I know, but you know how is my job, it's inevitable to get a few stitches''- I said

''You can die!''- she yelled

I'm used to this arguments by now, in our four years together it wasn't really a day where we didn't have a conversation like this

''Tiff...''-  I started but she cut me off

''No, Jessi! You almost died once because of your job! Why can't you understand that I need you! Not the hero you, that saves people, I need my wife safe and alive right beside me! I can't lose you''- She said as more tears welled up in her eyes, it broke  my heart to see her like this

''And you won't, I will be more careful and I will try to stay away from outside work, I'll just get the desk work'' - I said seriously she looked at me in shock

''You would do that?''- She asked 

''Yes and I will, I know it was hard for you to let me go back to work as an officer and I was thinking about it for a few days now, I even talked to my chief and he is okay with it, the only time I need to leave will be in urgency''- I explained

''But you hate desk work''- She said making me smile

''I know, but I know that I can't put my life on the line anymore, because you and this tiny baby here needs me''- I said as I put my hand on her five months baby bump
