"I'm really *cough cough* sorry, Am," said Luna on the phone.
"It's okay. I understand. I guess we really can't help it if you got sick. It's really cold these days. I hope you get well soon." I told her.
"Hm. I'll hang up now. *cough* I hope you still enjoy with the rest of the gang." She told me as she hung up the call.
Just as the other line went off, I heard a shriek a few steps away from me.
"What?!" Her shriek caught the people's attention. Upon realizing that all eyes were on her, she immediately bowed and apologized, before answering the other line, now in a lower voice.
I saw her heave a deep sigh as she put her phone down and walked towards my direction.
"What did Vic-unnie say?" I asked.
"Her parents from China surprised her last night with a visit. She said she couldn't leave, of course. What about Sunyoung unnie?"
"She's in a terrible state. She was coughing the whole conversation. She got a flu. Gotta blame this cold weather."
"Why do I have a feeling that they purposely set us up? Aish..."
Sensing the disappointment from her, I suggested for us to just go home. Of course I was also disappointed, but there's this small part of me that's celebrating, anticipating a group get together turned date. Well, that is if she agrees with this whole setup.
You see, it's our group's tradition to spend Valentine's day together. Vic unnie, Luna, Soojung, and I, we're friends since high school. There came a time that we were all single, so instead of being bitter, we got together, watched movies, had dinner, and played around as if we're just a group of friends hanging out.
