She fell to her knees, the cold raindrops prickle her pale skin.

She doubted they made any difference.

Her heart already too numb to feel anything else.

What else was there left?

He was gone.

His last words being, “Goodbye. Please be happy.”

Hadn't they made a promise to never say those words to each other?

Sanghee shut her eyes, wishing for the tears to just stop.

But no matter what, they kept on pouring, just like the rain.

Is this really love. . ? 

“Yah!” Sanghee exclaimed in protest.

Seunghyun grinned at her.

“Awwww! Come on! One last ride!!” his face was one that portrayed of a child's, full of excitement.

Sanghee rolled her eyes, but nonetheless, agreed to go on the roller coaster.

But as they were next in line, she found herself regretting her decision.

What was she doing?

She was afraid of heights, so why was she getting on this ride?

Her moment of worries quickly dispersed as Seunghyun took her hand in his.

“Come on, I'll be there.” he said, as if reading her own doubts.

Sanghee smiled back at him nervously.

She could do it, as long as he was with her, she trusted him. 

“Mommy! Look!” Sanghee opened her eyes and found a little girl pointing at her from across the street.

Her mother met Sanghee's gaze, and the sympathy instantly washed over the older female's face.

Sanghee mustered enough strength and stood up.

Flashing the little girl a small smile, she began her weary way back home.

Away from him.

Are you happy now Seunghyun?

I'm going away just like you wanted me to. 

“I thought you said that was the last ride.” Sanghee stated as Seunghyun dragged her towards another unending line of people.

Her legs still felt weak from all the twists and turns from the roller coaster.

“Yeah, but you like fireworks right Sanghee?” Seunghyun asked.

Sanghee nodded her head and watched as another couple strolled by.

Stuff toys galore they had.

Sanghee wondered why Seunghyun couldn't be as simple as that.

“-are you even listening?” Sanghee snapped out of her reverie.

She gave Seunghyun a peace sign.

Seunghyun sighed.

“Let's go.” he said, dragging her to the Ferris Wheel.

Moments passed and soon, the two were at the utmost they could get of all the amusement park.

Sanghee hadn't dared open her eyes, the chance of looking down and have fear envelope her was too much.

“Look!” Seunghyun exclaimed, pointing up at the sky.

Sanghee dared to peek from her closed eyelids and found a beautiful landscape up in the sky.

A variety of colored fireworks endlessly painted picture after picture.

Sanghee was at awe.

“See, I knew you would like it.” Seunghyun said from next to her.

Now it was Sanghee's turn to look like a child.

Seunghyun grinned.

“Thank you oppa.” Sanghee sincerely said.

Thank you. . . 

Sanghee let out a heavy sigh as she stepped out of the shower.

She changed into a pair of warm, fuzzy pajamas and plopped down on her bed.

She looked out the window, it was still raining, and her heart was still aching from the current breakup.

Sanghee blinked the tears back and looked at the picture on her nightstand.

She picked it up as if it were a delicate flower.

A picture of her and Seunghyun back at the amusement park stared back at her,

mocking her loneliness.

If only. . .

Sanghee hugged the photography close to her chest.

No matter what, I'll still love you.

She thought, putting the picture under her pillow.

She lay down on her bed, closing her eyes.

She would dream for now, dream back the days where they were still happy.

At least then, we'll be together. . . 

Seunghyun stood at the grave.

It was a day of two anniversaries.

The day he broke up with Sanghee, and the day she died.

He shut his eyes tightly and clutched the singed picture in his hand tightly.

It was the only thing he had left to look at the face of the girl he loved, and still did.

If only things were different. . .

He thought, setting down her favorite flower;

A white tulip.

The memories ran through him. 

“What are you watching?” Seunghyun asked, soberly sauntering into the room.

Minhwan waited until he settled down on the couch next to him.

He turned off the TV.

“Hyung. . .”

The way his face looked, Seunghyun knew the news his dongseang was about to deliever wasn't good.

He stood up.

“Never mind, you don't have to tell me.” he said.

But Minhwan held him back.

“Hyung, Sanghee. . .”

Even by the sound of her name, his heart began to ache again.

“. . .Sh-she's gone. . .”

“M-Minhwan, I don't understand.” Seunghyun said.

Of course she was gone from his life, the company forced him to leave her.

But by the way Minhwan's face looked, he could tell it didn't have anything to do about their breakup.

“I was watching the news, and. . .They reported that a bunch of drunk men suddenly set a house on fire. It was. . .” Minhwan's voice trailed off.

Anger rushed through Seunghyun.

“Yah, if this is a joke, your sick!! Don't lie to me!” he exclaimed.

His mind was rejecting the news.

Minhwan brought the maknae into a hug.

“I'm sorry hyung.”

Seunghyun choked back a sob.

I'm sorry too Sanghee,

I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. . . 

Plip!
 

A raindrop had hit him.

Seunghyun smiled bitterly at himself.

In the end, it was Sanghee who said goodbye.

Not him. . .

The raindrops soak my whole body
I force myself again, look up and look at the sky

And it replaces the tears I have been holding in

So how was it?
This is my first attempt for any story/one-shot like this, so I hope it was good.

That and, I also wrote it since Seunghyun-shii needs some love too!
